Cry

"Hey Sheyken, those idiots keep on looking at us today. What do you think is up with them?"

"I do not know Beak-hyun, I think this time they do not want to volunteer for an arse whooping. They seem like they are up to something though."

"You better walk me home today. You know I can't deal with all three of them if they come after me."

"Who said I was your bodyguard? You better walk me home since you know I can take all three of them on."

"Come on man. That would mean I will have to walk to my house alone. Since when have you've been Mr. All mighty? If they come after me and I get hurt, you will not have a friend the whole time I am gone. Seems like you have forgotten who your only friend is?"

"Ahhh look at you, Mr. Bruce Almighty. Trying to act all cool like you are Jim Carrey. Pity you are not as funny."

"How the hell does that fit to what we are talking about?"

"I do not know. It has the word 'mighty' In it. So there."

"Man, you such a damn ass."

"Awe, well this dump ass shall dumbly leave you to walk alone after school."

"You son of a...."

Beak-hyun continued practicing his insult on Sheyken which he would soon master when they finish high school. For now, they were having that conversation during their lunch break. At that time, they were in 7th grade and they were both 14 years old.

The boys they were talking about were the very same boys Beak-hyun saw Sheyken beat up on their very first day of school and brought the two boys together for what could be nothing but called a wonderful friendship. The two he had knocked out were Seo-jun and Du-yun. The one who he did not knock out was Ji-ho.

During the years of their schooling together and in the same class, the three had repeatedly tried to take revenge on Sheyken and Beak-hyun had been drugged into it since he was his friend. Sheyken had come to discover during those years that It was no mistake that he never managed to knock Ji-ho out that day. The kid just had a tuff head. He could never knock him out.

"Hey Sheyken, didn't Soo-ah propose her love for you yesterday. Tell me all masterful heartbreaker, how did that go?"

Beak-hyun whispered to Sheyken, teasing him during class. Sheyken just did not want to talk about it. He was so focused on his training those days that he would forget a girl proposing her love for him within that day as he trained after school.

The bell rang and signaling that school was over. The two went on their way home as Sheyken walked Beak-hyun to his house first, but before they could reach the Pyeongtaek metropolitan area they saw the three boys coming to them. Somehow they had managed to get in front of them.

The street they were walking on at that point had been deserted and they were the only ones there.

"Hey, Ji-ho, are you not tired of this? Even a fly gives up trying to fly onto a horse's arse after being slapped multiple times by its tail. Seems to me like you are dumber than a fly."

"Hahahaha, Beak-hyun, where did you get that one. I think this is it. The author of insults has just been born."

Sheyken said, praising Beak-hyun and jumping up and down while holding his hand exaggeratingly like a school girl while ignoring the three boys.

"You fucker."

"Awe, it's that the best you got? not getting knocked out by Sheyken seemed to have messed with your brain since you get hit multiple times. I bet those two are just following you because you have gotten dumber from all the hits you received on your head such that you wouldn't even be able to find us if you were alone."

"Beak-hyun, you on a roll today. So creative, did the insult gods bless you with their intellect? I need some of it... sensei... Please pass some of that goodness on me."

Sheyken said bowing down to him like how a monk would do.

"Awe, I see... this is the famous Sheyken Lewis from your class. The one that has been making waves in the school's open tournament and the one that always, and I mean always sends you to me crying, Ji-ho."

Ji-ho stopped smiling at the words the person was saying after hearing the last part.

"Brother! why do you have to go and embarrass me!"

"A senior? Brother?.... So, you have finally shown your cowardice Ji-ho."

Sheyken said.

"Little man, let me teach you something that you should never forget as long as you live. You are only as powerful as the company you put your trust in. So, you see, ji-ho right here is just finally being smart and using the resources of his trust wisely."

Sheyken did not know what he was on about.

"Having someone that can obliterate the enemy you cannot defeat always on the ready is a lethal asset to have."

He understood that.

"Let me introduce myself...."

The boy could not finish his sentence. Falgur and Sheyken had turned back, tagged their tails between their legs, and ran.

"Idiot, no sane person would stay and try to fight after hearing that and seeing the person it comes from!"

Beak-hyun yelled back at the four boys who were still shocked by their quick wittiness. The boy who had joined them looked like Ji-ho but two feet taller than him and looked like a bodybuilder who was just starting out.

"Do not think you can get away from me!"

The boy screamed out as he took off running after them like a trained athlete.

Sheyken got back home with a blue eye, a swollen face, and also limping.

"Hahahaha, Awe dear. Did it finally happen?"

"AHHH, Mom, who laughs at their son when he got beat up?"

"One who constantly gets calls from other pupils' mothers complaining that you beat up their sons to a pulp."

"Well, they must stop coming after me then."

"Well, that is what I always tell them."

"Hahaha, liar."

"What child would ever call their mother a liar now?"

"Wait mom, tell me exactly how you responded to them."

"Stop calling this landline and complain about bullies being beaten up you're good for nothing...."

"Hahaha, stop, stop, stop, and that is why the kids I beat up come back to me and ask me to apologize for their mothers to you for them."

"Well, you started this circle of nonsense by busy beating them up to a pulp. Thinking about them gets my heart pumping, call your father and tell him I want him here now! I need a kiss to calm me down!"

"Hahaha, mom!"

"Ok, ok, ok, just sit down so I can take a look at you. So... I am sure they finally asked their big brothers to join the fray, right?"

"Yep."

"And how was he?"

"Good, infect better than good. He is a senior and well-built. I tried going for a low kick but it did not even hurt him. I think he does Kyokushin. He too went for a low kick that was fast and powerful that I could not evade. It was over from then on. My leg went limp and the rest is history."

"Looks like you have high regards for someone who is just bullying a kid."

"No, it was a proper fight. He gave me that respect."

"I see. How did Beak-hyun fair?"

"Well, he got beat up by the other three as usual."

"I see son. You know I am against you fighting outside the ring, right?"

"I know mom, I was just defending myself."

"Good. I will have a talk with their mother, but since this is a military school, I am sure even if she talks to them, they will continue."

Sheyken kept quiet.

"You have 4 months to beat his tiny behind and once you do, I want you to become friends, ok."

Her tone had changed.

"Yes, mom."

"I am sure with the two of you being friends, that will stop the three boys and potentially stop any other bullies from trying to mess with you in the future."

Sheyken just nodded as he could see his mother was serious.

"Or, do you want me to go kick his butt for you?"

"Hahaha, I am sure that would be a sight dad would want to see... ouch!"

She pinched his arm as he said that.

"Anyways, I and you have a bully to befriend, so I have got to cook your favorite food so that you can eat and eat and your muscles can recover. That is how that works right?"

"haha, yes mother, put dad hates that dish."

"That man's job today is to give me kisses to calm my heart. My child is hurt for the first time for goodness sucks. If he does anything either than that, like complain about a certain dish, we shall have a boxing match in bed today."

Sheyken just closed his ears with his hands and smiled at his mother who always made jokes she thought he did not know what they meant.
