I am just an eighteen years old kid

Sam just shook his head as he asked, "What are your plans next?"

Matt shrugged, "Nothing. We came here cuz this was the safest place for now. Covered from all directions, in the corner, have guns, at least in your office, never thought there was more to this old shop than it shows."

"Really. No plans at all." Sam asked suspiciously.

"Yup. We are just two of us. We don't need a plan. We just need to stay safe. Me and my Matty, write our life story hihihihihihihihi." Ashton spoke as he laughed evilly while rubbing Matt's head.

Matt and Sam just looked at the moron, who was laughing evilly in disgust, and then ignored him, like he was never there.

"Then follow me, I have a plan. I need people for that. What do you say?" Sam asked.

Matt shrugged, "Tell us your plan, then we will see."

Sam nodded and waved his head, "Come here then. Let me show you my S class plan."

Matt and Ashton nodded and followed him.

Sam brought them to the table, where there were a lot of things. He threw them away.

Then pulled out a map as he showed them, and spoke, "You see, there are only two places where we can go now. Where we, our family, our people, everyone can be safe."

"It's either Sector-X or Sector-M, besides that, there is no chance. We can keep going, keep looking, but believe me, there is none. Sector-X has a military encampment, we will be safe there but." He paused, hesitated to speak further.

Ashton, who hates it when people stop speaking in the middle and keep haggling, yelled, "BUT WHAT? Speak up."

Sam took a deep breath and continued, "But it's 1700 miles away. Even if we are careful, go as slow as we can. We still have to go through more than 7 sectors. This means we have to go through more than 21 cities."

"City means people, people means awakens. Not to say the more people cities have, the more monsters there will be."

"Moreover, we don't have enough food, water, weapons, guns, or ammunition, and we have no idea until when these weapons can keep working. There will be a time when these bullets will end, then one bite and we will be one of them. There are too many risks. Too many factors."

Ashton and Matt nodded their heads. They saw what happened out there. How humans turned? How monsters killed? How did the nightmare begin? They know it just too well. Matt asked, "What about Sector M then?"

"There is a safe place in Sector M. Not as safe as a military encampment but we still have a chance. It's closer to here, not more than 1000 miles. Only 13 cities."

"Even if we take our time, we still have the chance. We just need to stay vigilant. And the cities in the way are not as big as they are towards Sector-X."

"Of course, it won't change the fact that we don't have anything with us except these measly weapons, but we got to do with it somehow. Food and other supplies, we can look for them on the way. This is the best chance we got, except that I can't think of anything else." Sam patiently spoke and explained.

"Sector-M. You are not talking about the mental hospital, right? Treble City Mental Hospital," Matt asked as he curiously looked at Sam.

"Mental hospital hahahahahaha. Half of the patients in that hospital are Military officers. There is also an underground facility there. Medical supplies, weapons, food, water, doctors."

"That mental hospital is in no way what it looks like. Calling it a research center won't be an exaggeration. We can find everything there."

"Moreover, its walls are in the half semi-circle shape, covering the whole hospital from all four sides. Difficult to attack but easy to defend. What do you say?" Sam explained as he looked at Ashton and Matt, especially Matt, waiting for him to make the decision.

"We have no problem. When do we leave?" Matt asked.

"After we pick up my family. My younger brother and sister. They are in Carin City. It's on the way." Sam spoke nervously. This was the main reason he needed Ashton and Matt's help.

There was no way in hell, he alone would be able to get to his family. Matt would slow them down, no doubt. But it couldn't be helped.

And it wasn't like Matt was without any merits. No. His brain was something else.

Nine-year-old kid but had everyone's respect. He wasn't just anyone. Not to say he could keep Ashton in check.

These both were the best teammates he could ask for. Easy to trust and he had known them for a long time.

"No problem, as long as Matty is with me, we can go anywhere. But first, do you have any gun's manual?" Ashton asked.

"Yeah! Why do you need them? Don't tell me you don't even know how to use a gun?" Sam raised his brow.

"Duh, what do you expect from me? I am just an eighteen-year-old kid, even Matt doesn't know, how the hell would I know?" Ashton ridiculed.

Sam became speechless and then hissed, "Matt is just a nine-year-old kid; it is to be expected that he doesn't know how to use a gun but what about you? I thought you worked in Jam and Johnson's, how the hell do you not know about guns?"

Ashton just shrugged, "Learning guns has nothing to do with me working at Jam and Johnson's. I was a damn cleaner there. I moped the floor, not played with guns."

Sam just rubbed his temple in annoyance, trying so hard not to kill Ashton or yell at him.

Matt, who knew it was his time to meddle, spoke, "Don't listen to this moron Sam. Tell me. Have you killed any monster or awaken yet?"

Sam shook his head, "None yet. I was underground when this whole shit started. My shop was closed. If not because my shop is at the corner, hidden, and looks small from the outside, I would be dead by now."

"But those damn green skin kids did enter the shop. They just destroyed some things and then ran away. They were in a hurry. They didn't even search properly."
