The Exalted Ones

Turning his attention back to the orb in the middle of the room. He walked to the platform and stepped onto it. He was now standing in front of a large translucent sphere. A blue stone slab was next to the podium that housed the orb. It shone with light when Zekith got near. The characters that lit up were the instructions for the operation of the orb. It also provided a little historical reference.

It read as follows; The Ra clan was formed by Mahao (Ma Hoh) Ra. She came to the Turtle Island on the year 891 of the celestial calendar. At that time the Ra clan had only three members. The head of the family and eldest Mahao, her younger brother Lucxor (Luk zor)and Cira (See Rah) their cousin. On that same year this Fortunes Affinity was placed within this chamber. With the hope that future generations of the Ra clan can benefit from its help. This sphere contains the essence of elements. Once activated the natural potential regarding ones ability to use elements will be revealed. Once the sphere understands your element a numeric value from one to nine will appear. If you have more than one element affinity each additional element will show its own numeric value.

Zekith's eyes began to glitter brightly. "From the information given I can assume a couple of things about my family's history. First around 5000 years of history only refers to the history on Turtle Island specifically within the Light Kingdom. The word came means that our clan arrived here from somewhere. I wonder where that somewhere is? Secondly it appears that the members of the Ra clan at one time had mental power giving them the ability to use the elements or in simpler terms Magic!" Zekith was stunned from this revelation.

It must be understood that Magic was never talked about in the Ra clan of today. It is rumored that the matriarch was a water mage. But, these claims were never proven. Mostly because the information that was given regarding the Ra clan history mentions its members always excelled at having strong physical bodies. How would anyone have ever imagined that in their history was actually filled with magic. He tried to calm his excited heart. "Thump!... THumP!... THUMP!" However, that was proving to be a little difficult at the moment. Zekith took several deep breaths. It took him quite a while to calm down. Once he was able to get his nerves to subside. He turned and continued to read.

Fortune refers to mental power. The more Fortune you have the stronger your mental power will be. Affinity is in reference to the four basic elements. Fortune connects to affinity allowing you to control the elements.

The Ra clan bloodline is ancient and special. Everyone from the Ra bloodline is required to come to this place and test their Fortune and Affinity. To activate the Fortunes Affinity Sphere. All one needs to do is place a hand upon the orb. The Sphere will do the rest...

Zekith stood in front of the stone slab. His face was a little grim with concern as he was thinking about the information he had just received. Suddenly he placed his hand on the orb.Ting!... Ting!... Ting! The whole room began to ring with this light melodic ringing. The sphere under his hand began to glow as well as it began to analyze him. Initially the orb was glowing with a pure white hue. Moments later the sphere started to change color and the orb also began to emit energy. Then some of that energy touched Zekith's outstretched hand. Intermingling with his own energy the sphere began to change on the inside once again. This time it was reflecting the energy he was emitting.

In the very center of the sphere a black hole form and swallowed everything around it. Turning into a small bubble of swirling energy. Now the inside of the sphere looked like it was full of water. The bubble of energy was surrounded by waves of silver/ grey water. This grey water looked more fluffy and cloudy the closer it got to the ball of energy in the center of the sphere. The swirling energy in the center of the sphere belonged to Zekith and he could feel it. It's aura represented his affinity to the four elements. The swirling energy's slowly moved within the sphere. It was clearly going through the process of analyzing his energy.

At the bottom of the stone slab a sentence that at first couldn't be seen slowing began to illuminate. He was able to see the sentence right away. His eyes went wide with shock because of the words on the stone slab. "A prices of blood is necessary to test your essence." These words had clear meaning and Zekith's face turned pale because he started to panic. He hadn't even considered that he would actually need to spill blood during this trial much less his own. Clack! The stone slab shook and a small drawer pop out on the side. Inside the drawer was a translucent needle. Once again Zekith was surprised by this Fortunes Affinity room.

Vroom...Boom! Just outside Ra village two people appeared standing in midair facing each other. The force of their unexpected appearances caused a loud explosive to sound off above the village. Many buildings within Ra village collapsed into piles of rubble. Burying the people in those building alive. Everyone in Ra village could feel a terrible oppressive aura coming from those two people. It was already dark and visibility was minimal. But these powerful people were illuminated by their own glowing auras of light causing them to be seen clear as day. Even the rank seven warrior Krom was looking up with a red face and bulging eyes full of shock and admiration. He was able to react to the earlier force. But he could only shield himself from its power. But, this took everything he had just to stay alive. The look on his face was truly unsightly to behold when he looked at the two figures in the air after looking at the village.

"Most of the village has fallen into ruin." Krom was dejected because he felt responsible. He had protected this small village for decades. This type of destruction was unprecedented and he was powerless to stop it.

One of the survivors yelled and pointed at the two people flying. "How is this possible?!"

"A Human can fly!?" Another's voice shrieked. All eyes were on the figures in the air.

The oldest members of the village even came out of their well fortified ancient homes which were located to the south end of Ra manor. These homes were made from the same sapphire quartz that surrounded Ra manor. Plus, they had the natural protection of being at the base of a small mountain. They came out to check on the commotion a saw the ruined state of the village. When these elders saw the two people in the air. Some of the more wise elders had gleaming eyes of anticipation and excitement. While the rest were just as confused as the young generation.

Aunt Pol watched the proceedings from her scrying bowl. She was in Ra manor and the whole building shook violently when the two people appeared. Bewilderment flashed across her face and her eyes to pop out of their sockets with surprise as she felt their energy. "Exalted's!" She shouted. "Why would Saint's come to this backwater location?" Aunt Pol's face was grim as she forcefully calmed herself and watched the scenes before her eyes.

Zekith whom was in the fortunes Affinity room. Felt a slight trimmer but nothing more. There was also low hollow groan that came from the building itself. His focus was on the the glowing sphere beneath his hand so he didn't pay attention to the strange noise. Reaching with his free hand he pulled the needle out of the little drawer. It was completely see through and shimmered in his hand. Turning the needle over he was about to prick his finger. Konk! A large chunk of sapphire quartz that feel from the ceiling and struck him on the head. The heavy force of the blow cut deeply. Causing his blood to fall like a flowing river as everything for him went black...
