Inside the Natural Formation

Lead by Krom the four of them walked out of the gully. Krom was also delicately holding Aunt Pol once again. They made their way to the natural formation at the summit of the mountain. Looking at the surrounding rocks that were all jutting out in a seemingly chaotic fashion. Yet, when one looked carefully you will notice a uniformity and a pattern to the chaos. And suddenly this natural wonder becomes even more beautiful. Zekith didn't understand how this formation worked. But he was able to notice a pattern within the chaos and that fascinated him. While following the pattern with his eyes he suddenly felt a weird magnetism or attraction sensation.

"You feel that?" Ren asked.

She must have felt it too. He thought. "Yes. What is this pulling sensation? This whole area feels a little different." He questioned. Taking a quick look around at everyone else. None of them seemed to have noticed. "Why can I feel it and none of them can?"

Ren looked at him. "Do I really have to explain it. What element are you in control over? Plus, didn't you just figure out the pattern?" She rolled her eyes. "These rocks have formed a natural gravitation force. Anyone connected to the earth can feel it. But, it takes an inquisitive mind to unlock its full potential. This is a marvel and will serve as a excellent safe haven. Absolutely incredible..." She trailed off.

Upon enter the formation there was a narrow path leading through to the heart of the area. This path was about 6 feet wide at its largest width but at its narrowest it was only about 3 feet wide. Thus, they all had to walk in a single file as they passed through. The natural Geo formation of the rocks that surrounded them seemed like they were very chaotic. Some places the edges were smooth and others really rough and jagged. Often the rock was sharp enough to cut you. But what awaited them at the end of the path was a flourishing green plateau. When they entered the inclined valley their senses were assaulted by a cacophony of floral scents. There was such an abundance of life here. The area hosted many different plants of varying shapes sizes and color. It was really beautiful.

In the middle of all this flora and fauna was a large cottage. Relief could be seen on everyone's face as they approached the building. The accommodations were far beyond everyone's expectation. It was a huge cottage that had a unique style. It was very cute actually. It was only one story but it was long and had many rooms. Upon entering the building everyone found a room that was suitable and took this opportunity to rest.

“We have much to discuss but we will talk about this in the morning.” Aunt Pol said to everyone as they went to their separate rooms. Everyone was exhausted from the night before. After relaxing a bit. Zekith realized that his body was about to collapse. He was very close to passing out. Going to his room. He crashed on his bed. falling asleep almost immediately. Similar things happened to everyone else. However, Krom still decided to stand as guard for the night. Zekith ended up sleeping like a log. Using mage force for the first time left him completely empty. He was so drained from it that he slept late into the next morning. Only then did he recover. When he opened his eyes the sun was well into the sky. He was clearly the last one to wake up. Upon entering the common room both Aunt Pol and Krom whom we're discussing something stood upon noticing him.

“How are you feeling?” His aunt asked smiling.

“Shouldn't I be asking you that?” Zekith responded with a smile. As he looked at his standing aunt. “You were in pretty bad shape yourself last night.” He continued with concern.

“As you can see. I'm perfectly fine."

"I wanted to commend and thank you for you efforts last night. That was very brave, but where did you...?" Krom was speaking. But Aunt Pol interjected cutting him off.

"We have much to discuss. But for now go get something to eat and meet me outside once you're done.” She turned back to Krom and continued their discussion. Krom could only looked at him with an awkward smile. Not saying a word. After finishing his meal he went to the courtyard outside to his waiting aunt. “These are not the circumstances by which I wanted to tell you this information but at the present moment I have no choice. Zekith how much do you know about our history?”

“Not much. If I’m being honest. All I know is that our clan is ancient about 5 thousand years old and has a deep history here on Turtle Island especially within the Light Kingdom.”

Aunt Pol looked at Zekith her face unreadable. “Okay let us start with that. in our 5000 years of history on Turtle Island specifically within the Light Kingdom. We have produced as a clan a plethora of excellent warriors. However, only three have become world renowned. These three were course Exalted beings. Meaning just like those we saw yesterday. They surpassed the regular limits and became extraordinary. The first Exalted was our first matriarch of the Ra clan. The founding mother of our clan. Her name was Mahao Ra. She was a pure rarity commanding two of the rarest elements known to exist. Those were the light element and the dark element. She was a dual elemental Magi just like you. The next Exalted was her younger brother Lucxor. He was a fire elemental that focused on physical strength over any Magi ability. When he broke through it was actually through his physical prowess. He also developed the phoenix form. A manifestation at the apex elemental physical form. Krom was using an incomplete version of this form in the fight yesterday.” They both turned to look at Krom who was sitting nearby watching. He smiled and waved at them in greeting once he noticed their eyes on him. The finally Exalted to come out of our clan was Cira. Lucxor and Mahao’s cousin. She was a water Magi that gifted the clan the seer tools and developed techniques that amplified the abilities and mage force for water Magi.” Her eyes shone with respect and awe as she spoke on Cira. Clearly Aunt Pol admired this ancient relative.

“However according to our family records. The clan never produced anymore individuals that were able to cross that threshold. Although the clan did produce an ungodly number of level nine warriors while the level nine Magi. This number grew fewer and fewer as generation progressed.” Aunt Pol’s eyes were downcast. The mood was somber and heavy as she began to mention the clans, decline. Especially after last night’s devastation. We were almost whipped out. The clan was down to it last four members. She pulled out an old leather-bound tome. After looking it over she handed it to Zekith. “Go read this. This tome contains the written history of our clan and it will explain things in a much better fashion than I would. Take this and get familiar with it, learning and digesting everything you read. Internalize this information and memorize what you read. Once you're done give it back. I will give you one week. Today is the first day of the fifth month. The hot season is upon us. Giving me four months to train you to meet the standards of that school. In short your power must reach a certain level before you are to be accepted into St. Hope. This examine is in the ninth month located in the city of Trees. But first you must read that tome. You have one week. Now go!” She shooed him away.

Confused and with the tome in hand, he looked around curiously. “Where is Kinta?”

“Unlike you he woke up early muttering something about not being left behind. So, he’s been out training since this morning. Worry yourself none about him. We each have our own task. He has his and you have yours. Now get to it.” Aunt Pol scolded.

Zekith hurriedly went to his room. Sat down on the mat in the center of the floor opening the tome. Ren came out of the ring because she too was interested in the history of this Ra clan. “I have a vague memory of the one called Cira. But I’m not sure if it’s the same person. With that in mind I wanted to confirm my assumptions.”

By all means. You might have a better understanding and be able to explain some things in better detail. Zekith smiled as he flipped the first page over and began reading. Ra – The clan of the sun.
