The Training Method

After meeting River and Raven. All the kids were lead to another building where they could rest for the evening. The group will be traveling to Saint Hope in the morning. Zekith was sitting on a padded mat in his room.

"Where have you been?" Zekith pouted.

"I will not show myself in front of any Exalted. My existence isn't something that needs to be discovered. I sorry if I didn't tell you." Ren consoled.

"So that's why you didn't come out all day?" Zekith questioned.

"Yes. Exalted are people that can sense my presence. And if I were ever to be discovered. You and I will be in a world of trouble."

"Why?"

"You are not strong enough to know the details." Ren spoke serious.

"Oh!" Zekith sounded a little dejected.

"Don't worry with me by your side. I will aide you in your Earth Magi cultivation and I will give you a method to increase your cultivation speed."

"What really? You will?"

"Of course! Who do you think I am?"

"Can we try it now?" Zekith was showing his inquisitive nature.

"Heh. Sure we can." Ren chuckled. "Grab some gravel from outside and place it into a pile. Once that's complete place you hand about six inches above said pile."

Zekith quickly grabbed a pile of dirt and placing his hand above it.

"Now concentrate on the pile of earth. Feel it! Imagine yourself molding and compressing the pile of earth. Building an image in your mind. Concentrate and have the mental image of yourself mold that compressed pile of earth into the image you just pictured."

Zekith listened to Ren and began to follow her directions. Within moments mage force gathered and a small golden version of Zekith was formed. It look identical to his current look as it walked over to the pile of earth that he gathered from outside. The smaller version of himself reached out and began to shape and mold the compressed earth. Forming it into an object. As he used this smaller version of himself made from mage force. His connection to the element became deeper and he entered into a state of hyper concentration. Beads of sweat quickly formed on his forehead. Sliding down his face and pooling at his chin. However, he paid this no mind as he continued to concentrate on manipulating this slowly developing chuck of earth. After ten minutes his connection with the mage force was released. The small golden version of himself dissolved. He was breathing very heavily as sweat poured down his face. He placed his hands on his knees for support. Huff, huff, huff. "Wow, that's hard Ren." Zekith couldn't help but praise. He was looking at a his sculpture of a little turtle. Wise who was sitting nearby flashed over and admired the work.

"Looks good bro." Wise nodded in approval.

"You think so?" Zekith chuckled. "You're only saying that because I made a turtle in you likeness." He was still breathing heavily.

"Once you catch your breath. Take a seat once more and feel the mage force around you. You need to understand what you just did." Ren was staring at the boy very seriously.

Noticing this slight change in attitude. Zekith caught his breath and followed Ren's direction and he began to feel the strength of his mage force. Suddenly he was completely surrounded by a huge mass of dense mage force. The room he was staying in became a red and gold light show as the mage force began to react to the elements Zekith favored. "What? Is this real?" He looked around in wonder and confusion.

"Your mage force has almost increased by over two hundred percent. The reason for this is because you enter the zone. A state of hyper concentration. For you to be in that state for ten minutes on your first attempt at this training method gave you some added benefits. Which has manifested itself in the form of this massive increase in mage force." Ren explained.

Zekith was sitting on a padded mat just feeling the mage force around him. Ren was observing from the side. Her face stern. There was no telling what she was thinking. Knock, knock, knock. Someone rapt on the door. "Zekith I need to go and we will talk later. You seem to have an important guest." Ren faded as she reentered the Ouroboro ring.

"Um, the door is open." Zekith answered the knock while still sitting and feeling his mage force.

The door opened and Sir Evergreen walked in and was immediately surprised. "Oh? Are you training even during the night? And it seems that you have even made some sort of breakthrough. This level of mage force is approaching a level five Magi. Very impressive!" Sir Evergreen praised.

"I don't want to fall behind." Zekith answered modestly.

"Diligent and competitive. No wonder you are able to use the second set of the Earth style of the Ra fighting technique."

Zekith became quiet as he quickly released the mage force he was controlling. He then looked at Sir Evergreen. "Mister Evergreen? How do you know so much about the Ra clan?"

"Well, in the distant past I had a very close friend that just so happened to be from a Ra village. We were like brothers and taught each other customs from our prospective villages. So, all of my knowledge about your village came from him." He looked like he was remembering something from the past.

"Can you tell me about this friend?" Zekith was interested.

"Some other time. When we are at the Academy you can come see me then and we will have a nice chat. However, right now I have something to give you." Reaching into his cloak and he pulled out a set of robes. They were a cream color with crimson trimmings. A set of four stars were sown into the shoulders. There was also a red and gold sash indication his high proficiency in Fire and Earth element. "These are for you." Handing the robes to Zekith. "During your time at the academy. You will be required to were these robes as students. There will be slight alterations as you improve. There's also a simple defensive spell placed on them as well."

After taking the robes in hand he could feel a mage force coming from the garment. He smiled and saluted to Sir Evergreen. "Thank you, sir."

"You're quite welcome. Tomorrow you and the others will have to travel to the academy to register for classes. As an elite all of your tuition is paid and you will also be assigned a private room. I'm counting on seeing great things from you as you further your education." Sir Evergreen got up and excused himself to the door. "Get a good nights rest young man." He departed the room.

Ren came back out once the door was shut. "That man is very powerful. Not to your ancestors level. But I would bet that he is one of the most powerful beings on this planet today." Ren sounded a little worried.

"Will you be okay?"

"Yes! I will just be more cautious while we are at school." She paused for a moment. "Remember what we did tonight. My training method will allow you to multiple your mage force training progress. A clear indication of this was the massive increase you experienced today. Get some rest. Tomorrow will be a long day and you need your energy."

Not protesting because he was actually really still exhausted from that training. He feel asleep almost immediately. The night passed quietly. The next morning as the sun rose. Zekith woke up and put on his new robes. Adjusting them to make them as comfortable as possible he left the room. Waiting outside his door was Kinta. He was also wearing cream colored robes with red trimming. His sash however was green and black. Indicating his proficiency in the Wind and Dark elements.

"You ready to go?" No greeting just straight to the point.

"Haha."Zekith laughed. "Yeah, Let's go!" The two walked away together going to the rendezvous point to head to their new school.
