AS SOON as they reach the abandoned basement the butlers who are holding her instantly runoff. They are afraid of this place and they often say that they saw a bit over here.

She crawled until she reaches the edge of the old bed. She groaned in pain when her bruises ache. Hot droplets of tears roll down her cheeks, she didn't bother to wipe them she continued crying until it turns into sobs.

She's in deep pain.

She's physically and mentally tired.

She wants to take a nap but her body is aching and her brain is now screaming.

She's so exhausted she wants to rest but she's bare naked.

She can't believe that her mother and father can do this to her.

She only expected to be slapped and be scolded but not like this.

She hugs herself when a gold breeze invades the whole room. Maybe I'm going to die in coldness but it's okay, at least I didn't die in my mother and father's hand.

She's crying ang crying and crying. Begging that this day will be done. Her hand instantly checks her neck until she felt a cold thing in her hand.

Thank God, my necklace is here.

This necklace is with her since she was born. The nun in the orphanage gave it to her when she is in eighteen years old.

They said that this necklace is with me when they found me outside the orphanage, and in that necklace, my name "Hedy" was engraved.

This is the only thing she treasures nothing more nothing less.

Hedy closed her eyes and pray silently.

I hope one day when I'll reborn I want to have a happy and complete family, a family that will truly love me and treasures me. A family that will be worried about me if I get lost and have bruises.

God, please hear my prayers I want a second chance to be happy.

God are you with me? Did you care for me? Or you're just a display? A portray?

My, my, silly me. How could I blame and question God because of what's happening to me? Maybe this is just a lesson that will help me to be a strong person, I know God has a good plan for me and my life.

I immediately closed my eyes when I felt some presence heading to the bed that I am with.

The intoxicating female perfume invades my whole nostrils and I know that smell and to whom is it.

That's my adoptive mother's favorite perfume, she is shocked at the fact that her adoptive mother goes here in the abandoned basement. Maybe she's here to hurt me more.

I felt my adoptive mother's hand gently stroke my hair which makes me holds my breath for a second.

She closed her eyes more when she fell her mother's stares intently. As if she is checking her whole face and existence.

"P-prey my precious daughter..." Her mother said while still stroking her hair that makes her stunned in surprise.

Her mother caresses her hair down to her cheeks.

She loves this sensation even though her mother mistaken her for Prey at least she felt her touch after so many years. She's yearning for this.

She's been crying and praying every night just to feel her mother's caress and now here it is. Her prayers all come true, and that is thanks to God.

But she instantly opens her eyes when the grip of her mother's hand in her chin tightens. Her wounds are aching again.

She mentally groans.

She looks at her mother with pleading eyes, begging for her to lose up her grip.

"M-mother," she said while stuttering because of fear and nervousness.

She felt chills when she saw her mother smiles sweetly.

"How's my baby prey, hmm?" Her mother asks while smiling.

At the moment her mother loosens up the grip on her chin, she instantly distances herself, closed her eyes, and ready her body for possible things her mother would do.

Her mother's evil laugh full the whole corner of the abandoned basement.

She opened her eyes and then she saw her mother laughing her butt out while pointing at her face as if she's a hilarious thing or a joke.

She composed herself and take a deep breath.

"What's going on mother?" She asks her mother but this time she's not stuttering, she's just worried about this woman who hurt her big time.

Her mother stood up and eventually sat beside her.

She's shock and surprise at the same time. And it feels so horrible she has goosebumps her eyes are wide as a big circle.

She automatically distances herself in her mother and she see how her mothers reaction changes in one snap that makes her nervous. She saw how her mother hands rise so she automatically closed her eyes and ready herself for her mothers strong slap. But she receives nothing but a gentle caress that makes her open her eyes I shock and disbelief.

"Mother..." she utters while intimately staring at her mothers face.

"I love you daughter"her mother said while still caressing her cheeks that makes her shiver. All of her mothers act are new to her. She didnt know if this is good news or bad news or her mother is plotting something evil against her again. But nevertheless, shes going to take a risk.

She slowly approaches and embraced her mother, she felt it stilled a bit but eventually set at ease that makes her happy. She closed her eyes and savor her mothers warmth. Hot droplets of tears race down to her cheeks, she found herself sobbing in her mothers arms. The person whom make her suffer is also the same person shes ben longing for.

If it is a dream please don't wake me up. She prayed.

"i love you too mother so much"

After a long embrace her mother freed her and looks at her intently.

"why are you here?"her mother asks that makes her confused.

Why is her mother asking her that kind of question? When shes the one who ordered those people to put her in this abandoned basement?

"MAIDS!!!!" her mother shouted and after that she heard a fast foot steps heading to their place. As of a qui she saw those familiar faces of their maids looking worried while staring at her.

Instead of disgust and hate all can she saw in the eyes of people around her is love and worry. That makes her so confused.

The main maid Sana approaches her and put a towel around her nakedness.

"Are you okay Lady Prey?" Main maid Sana asks that makes her confused even more. She looks at her mother and take a gulp.

"D-do y-you have a mirror, mother?" she asks while slightly stuttering.

She saw confused in her mothers eyes but still hand her a mirror. She slowly looks at her face in the mirror but all she can saw is her dead sister Prey. Her pale skin, blond hair and green eyes is so mesmerizing.

She looks herself in the mirror once again and face all the people that shes with inside the abandoned basement.

"who am I?" she asks.

She can saw confusion in their faces but it eventually fades and answer her in union with a big smile in their faces.

"Lady Prey"

What the hell is going on?
