Chapter 8

Zamora watched from a distance as Lamella kissed Michael. She stared at the both in utter Disgust. A bile arose in the back of her throat. She felt the need to puke. She stared at the two feeling jealous and horrified. What was even more horridying Michael kissed her back on the damn lips.

Unable to look away from the two, tears began to brim in her eyes. She felt betrayed. But why did she feel that way. He wasn't hers to begin with neither did she know him. She shouldn't feel this way. Michael was just a regular guy.Infact he was just like the jocks at her school. They all sleep around with the pretty girls and then dump their asses. But how could she say that about Michael. Looks were very deceiving. Michael didn't seem like the play boy type. But who was Zamora to judge him. Besides she didn't know his true colors.

She glared at them from across the field with crossed arms as they flirted with each other. Zamora scuffed like a spoilt brat.

Her eyes stung with tears. This time she couldn't hold them back. She ran towards the bathroom and into one of the stalls. She cried so hard. She was pathetic. How could she cry over someone that wasn't hers. She treated him unfairly she shouldn't expect him to take a liking in her. Looking at herself in the bathroom mirror. From her point of view she wasn't pretty. There was nothing good looking about her. There was no way in hell that he would like her. She had never dated any boys before. They all claimed she was ugly and she bought it.

She couldn't help but believe. They were all right. If the ugly ducklin was a walking breathing thing it would most definitely be her.

The bell rang notifying her she had history class to attend. She groaned. All she wanted to do now was crawl under her blanket and hide her face from the world in shame. How could she face Michael knowing she saw what he did. Knowing she envied him. Knowing she cried for him.

The thought of him kissing another girl brought a bad feeling to her stomach. She washed her face and dried it with paper towel. She released a breath before she left the bathroom.

She held her head low to avoid eye contact with Michael. The last person she wanted to see at the moment was him.

She took her seat and avoided eye contact with him for the entire class. She would pretend to be reading whenever her said anything to her.

The final bell rang to indicate the dismissal of school. Zamora have succeeded in ignoring Michael for an entire session. She tried leaving the room with the crowd of students but she was pulled back by Michael.

"I'm sorry if I've offended you earlier."

"I have nothing to say to you Michael." She snapped.

"Why don't you like me?"

"Why do you care." She glared at him with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Look." he was cut off.

"No you look! I don't need your friendship neither do I need your sympathy. Don't you have anything better to do perhaps sticking your tongue down lamellas throat."

She stormed off furious, leaving an even more furious Michael. His jaws tightened and he bawled his fist. He had been nothing but nice to her and she didn't appreciate it. He was only holding on by a string. He was becoming furious and his dark side was dying to be unleashed. He couldn't allow his darkness to take over knowing what would be the out come. He has hurt far too many innocent people out of anger. He couldn't allow himself to hurt Zamora. She mean't so much to him despite knowing so little about her. He took a deep breath trying to calm himself.

Zamora entered her house with a breath of relief. She felt bad about the way she spoke to Michael. She was angry at him for no valid reason. How could she be angry at him? After all he wasn't hers neither neither did she know him. Her eyes went wide when the most unpleasant thought crossed her mind. She almost choked on her own spit.

"I don't like him." She wiggled her index at herself in the bathroom mirror.

She was being selfish. She didn't like him but at the same time jealous of his relationship with Lamella. Zamora thought of a way to clear her head crowded mind that could only process data that pertained to Michael. She groaned in annoyance. Why couldn't she think of anything else besides him. Damn him. Who does he think he is?

Running would clear her head from her thoughts. The last thing she wanted at the moment was her mom asking her a lot of questions. The last thing she wanted was a angry mom.

She laughed at the taught of her mom choking the life out of their schools principal. Then she taught about her mom choking the fear life out of Michael.

"Honey you haven't touched your food." Concern was laced in her voice.

"Am not really hungry. I ate something earlier." She lied. She haven't eaten. She couldn't get the image of Michael kissing Lamella. The way she giggled each time he said something funny. Maybe she was taking a liking in the boy. There was something special about that boy that drew her to him.

"Zamora?"

"Huh." She was tugged from her thought when her mom called her name.

"Can you believe your dad's coming home next week." She said excitedly.

The thing she loved about her mom and dad they were meant to be together. They always show each other affection. They were madly in love with each other. She loved this she wished she'd find someone who loved her the way her dad loved her mom.

"That's great." She gave her mom the biggest smile. "When did you speak to him?"

"Last night."

"Wow." She faked enthusiasm. She wasn't in the mood for her moms bantering about her dad.

She placed a forkful of mashed potatoes into her mouth. She just wanted to forget about Michael. In the end he wasn't worth fighting for.

All she had to do was find someone better than he was. He already found someone she should do the same.

She volunteered to wash the dishes after dinner. The moment she was finished she went for a run. That was the only way she could clear her memory.

It did help a bit but she couldn't get Michael out of her mind. He was like an addiction and she didn't know him. There was something mysterious about the boy that she couldn't put her fingers on. One way or another she was going to find out very soon.
