The auction would take place in about a month or so. During this time security has tightened to the max.
After we made it through the alleyway Duncan lead us to Linda's mom and dead house.
Her father looked roughed up but her mom looked completely fine. At least physically but no telling if they left any kind of mental stress.
"Justin Fellow me to the exit point . If you two leave now you can make it to the outside world."(Duncan)
"Sir I know you care but I want to see my daughter face alive ."(Justin)
As Justin Linda's dad stared around he looked worried about the current situation in the city.
In truth, I couldn't even blame the guy. At this point, the guard was running around the streets just taking whoever looked good enough to make up for the mass amounts of slaves that were left.
As the three thought to themselves, a shadow appeared behind Duncan and stepped in front of him.
This was Magaret dressed in a dark brown robe. Covering her golden hair until she could dye it.
" He will kill blame for you. Do not worry ma'am, my partner, over there is a skilled veteran."(Alamesh)
As I looked around I wonder what the fuck Margaret was talking about.
The more I looked at myself the more I realized how scrawny I was to the guards who had real military training.
"Young lady you have a point. This young lad is exceptional at what he does. I've seen him in action myself." (Duncan)
huh? Why am I being sit up here? When did I apply to be a hero?
As I looked flabbergasted at the two and how they praise me. I realized Linda's father's eyes were glowing up.
"Can you do it? Can you beat that Tyrant Blake?" (Justin)
As he looked at me I could feel my knees trembling but I calmed my breath and walked forward.
I tried to learn confident and like an experienced fighter.
"If you would allow me. I would be honored to kill him." (Alamesh)
What was sad was the fact that I knew I couldn't kill him.
When trying to go through the gate I hide and i"'m sure he halfway would have sensed my presence if I moved any closer.
What was the point of even facing an impossible opponent like him?
Looking at Magaret she seemed pissed for some reason.
But I decided to not keep walking forward. I tried to keep in step with Duncan the whole time.
Soon we made it to the small hole hidden by brushes.
"Can we make it through here?" (Justin)
As He held his wife's hand I could see him trembling,
"It's better to be free than in chains." (Alamesh)
He gazed at me confusingly for a minute and lead me into the hole.
"Maybe I should go help guide them." (Alamesh)
As I moved towards the hole Magaret grabbed my hand.
"Do you need Samael or Jeremiah to have a set of balls?" (Magaret)
"I would rather survive than risk my life for a stranger . Why are you so hell-bent on helping her?" (Alamesh)
"Because it's the right thing for a hero to do."
(Magaret)
I think she is forgetting but we are not even close to heroes
