"You see, since we have heroes here, it's obvious to you that their many motive will be to defeat that Demon Lord,"

"You are free to think whatever you'd like to, but I'm free to do whatever I want. Your King had already given me the independence for doing my job as I like to as long as it doesn't cause any problem... or are you opposing his majesty?"

"Uh..." As I bring up the King, Red Hairs didn't dare to oppose me.

"Sir Allan, I accept your conditions."

"Y-Your majesty-" Red Hairs tried to oppose but fell silent when King glared at him.

"It would be a huge help if you'd help us to stand against the Demon Lord..." King sighed as he said those words.

"Don't take it like that. I refused to fight Demon Lord because it's not my job, aren't the heroes the one who should face The Evil Lord in the first place?... Moreover, Gods give their blessing to them because of that particular reason only, isn't it? If anyone capable enough to defeat the Demon Lord would have existed in this world, weren't they would have assigned by the task to defeat the Demon Lord, but the heroes were chosen for that task. They should be honoured that Gods themselves give their blessings to them and gave them this wonderful opportunity to prove what they are capable of... Or, do you want to prove the Gods that their decision was wrong."

King was stunned by my words as he remained speechless for few moments. Same goes for others also,

"Sir Allan, you have opened my eyes. I'm really sorry for forcing you in the matter which has nothing to do with you... Please forgave me for that." King apologized sincerely.

"Oh no, it's fine, really. I don't mind it at all."

"Well then, my apologies again. Please let me assign your duty."

"Just a mere bodyguard..." I muttered.

"Isn't Leon the one who is her personal knight?"

"Though he is assigned for her security, he is not here personal knight."

Really? I always thought that he is her personal knight since the encounter with the assassins at the flower garden, seems like I was wrong...

"So, are you fine with that?" King asked me.

"Appointing me as her personal knight at the very moment I joined, aren't you putting too much faith in me?"

"I believe that you will whole heartedly do your duty with sincerity. That's why I assigned you that role."

I smiled, "Well, seems like I have no choice. Alright then, I'll try my best to stand up on your expectations."

"But, there is one more thing..."

"What is it?"

"I have to admit, you have played very well, your highness."

In the response, King showed an impressed smile.

"What do you mean by that, Mr. Allan?" Karen asked.

"Mr. King, clearly caught the hint I provided..."

Not only did he see through the hints I was giving, he used them excellently by assigning me as Lucia's protector. Though I still can't understand, why Lucia only? Why not Laren or Red hairs? Well whatever...

"Your brilliant father, to think you thought that far. Truly magnificent!"

"Well thank you, Laren. Now then Sir Allan,"

"What should I doo...?" I pretend about thinking. Well it was just an act as I have already decided the answer.

"Are you fine with this Lucia? Sir Allan being your personal knight?" King asked.

"Y-Yes, I'm delighted," Her face was clearly red.

Seriously, there is nothing we can do for her.

I sighed while thinking about that.

"Princess Lucia, I'll be in your care now." I said.

"Wh-?! Ye-Yeah, Likewise." What an amazing greetings, wow.

"Now, Mr. King, since everything is decided, I would like you all to call me just Allan. There is no need for you all to add honorifics."

"As you wish."

I personally don't like that half-assed honorifics, mr., sir, balla balla balla... If you really want to show respect, do it properly. Don't use such lowly honorifics like mr. and sir.

Now then, I have to deal with an intruder. Hm, already let's have some fun with this intruder, hehehe...

"Now then Sir Al-, Allan. Let me make some arrangements."
