Do you miss me?

Flashback.

It seemed that night was a sad night for anyone. Meghan keeps begging her husband, and Henry keeps her love for Jane.

In the end, Thomas softened up. But still, he disapproved of the relationship between Henry and the servant he hated so much at the time. But only because he didn't want his wife to continue to kneel and beg him.

That night was also a painful night for Jane. She didn't expect such a big rejection given the Johnson family when they're so hard demonized Jane's pride. Even Jane thought Thomas and Megan would never agree to their relationship with Henry.

That night no one could sleep well. The four of them were lost in their own thoughts. Even Jane and Henry were not allowed to be in the same room by Thomas Johnson, even though they were married.

It was a quiet night, but Jane's room was filled with sobs. She curled up on the bed covering her mouth so the sound of her crying wouldn't come out of her room.

Moments before.

"Jane? Are you sure you will obey my father's orders?" asked Henry, who had just let go of the woman who had become his wife.

"Henry? Everyone is tired tonight. We should have known the risks we would be in if we publicly declared our relationship," said Jane.

"I'm grateful your father didn't hurt you at all. At that time, I was scared. I don't want you to get hurt." Jane caressed the side of Henry's face, she looked sad but her tears didn't come out yet.

"But we sleep in different rooms, Jane! Are you sure you can do something like this? You also know, right? when my father made a pact that neither of us should tell anyone about our marriage!" Henry looked annoyed, and he grabbed Jane's two tightly gripped hands.

"Isn't this so painful for you as well as for me?!" Henry still doesn't accept his father's decision.

"Henry, calm yourself down. I will do anything for your safety. You saw that earlier, right? How did your father act and how did your mother go to great lengths to protect you," Jane brought Henry's hand to her chest.

"Hhh, I will also do the same thing, which is to protect you. Maybe it's difficult at first and we both have to get through it," said Jane with a meaningful look.

Henry didn't want to argue anymore and chose to calm his annoyance.

"You're so kind, Jane,"

"You'd better rest, Henry. Don't worry, even though we're not in the same room, we're still in the same house," Jane's sweet smile at least made Henry's feelings a little calmer.

Jane glanced at the three well-built men standing behind Henry.

Thomas would keep an eye on his son. At that time, he did not allow Henry to be close to Jane, even though their relationship had become husband and wife.

But thanks to Meghan. Henry is not harmed by his father, and neither is Jane, who is not punished by Thomas.

The deal that was made Jane's heart very tight and very sad. How could a husband and wife who had just married have been separated again? Only because of such strong parental opposition. And because Jane is just a servant, so she can't do anything. The only thing Jane could do was make sure Henry was safe.

Jane returned to her room. A maid's room is nothing special. When Jane was in her room, she became sad because the images of happiness were still etched in her mind. Jane immediately climbed into bed and immediately burst into tears.

"What a fool you are, Jane! You have to be strong, and you can't cry!"

Even though he had been holding on tight in front of Henry. She doesn't want to be seen crying. But when the silence came, it was really hard to hold back her tears. Moreover, Jane couldn't do anything but hug the bolster and cover her body with the blanket.

Morning.

Jane thought the life she was going to live would be as normal as it was when she wasn't married to Henry. But, of course, that didn't happen.

After a pretty horrendous night. All the workers who worked at the Johnson family residence received a stern warning from Thomas. They must not spread information about the marriage between Henry and Jane.

Thomas had even vowed that Jane would not give special treatment. She was still a servant to Thomas Johnson.

Jane is fine with such conditions. She tried to understand his anger and disappointment with Thomas.

By noon that day, Jane had no idea where Henry was. Is he still in the house or is he out for work?

Jane could not ask anyone because the maids or other workers were afraid to get close to Jane. They even tried to avoid and keep their distance if required to be in the same room with Jane.

So is Meghan. The woman seemed to think that Jane didn't exist. It was obvious because she was still disappointed with the attitude of Jane, who was secretly in love with her son.

Jane quickly ran towards the back of the Johnson family residence. She headed for the stables, where she usually had activities. Arriving there, Jane began to cry as she leaned against the side of the stables door.

The sound of a horse's neighing seemed to be trying to cheer Jane up. But the woman was still crying.

"Do I not deserve to be happy? Am I that bad?" said Jane, patting her chest firmly. It felt like something was eating away at her feelings so deeply that she couldn't breathe.

Jane ran towards the big black bucket which was filled with a lot of water. She dipped all her face in, closed her eyes, and imagined Henry's face. Instantly the image of Henry's figure appeared, making her want to kiss Henry's lips which she had missed so much.

"I'm sorry, Henry. I'm sorry because of me, you are suffering. Because of me, everyone including your father was very disappointed in you. I'm sorry, Henry," Jane thought to herself.

Only a few seconds later, Jane had raised her face which had been submerged in the water. She took a deep breath while controlling her emotions and sobs so as not to just burst out.

Jane decided to go back to her job, which was cleaning the stables and bathing the horses as usual. She tried to take her mind off the unfinished business and didn't know when it would end.

By evening, Jane was done with all her work. She had just cleaned herself up, then headed for the kitchen to eat whatever she could eat and drink at the time. Although the moment he arrived the servants and other workers immediately withdrew and blatantly distanced themselves from her.

Jane who realized this immediately took some bread and a glass of warm milk and headed back to her room.

"Hah..! It's quieter and more comfortable here," Jane thought after she placed a few slices of bread and milk on the table beside the bed.

"Henry? What do you doing now?" Jane asked herself.

"Do you miss me? Are you okay?" she muttered back.

"You don't have to worry about me, Henry. I'm fine here. I hope you're fine too," said Jane encouraging herself.
