Another Fact

Alicia's memory.

Little Jack saw Jane who looked weak, sitting in a wheelchair with an ashen face. He looked worried and felt like he wanted to go to Jane immediately.

Alicia, beside him, immediately resisted her urge, holding onto Jack's arm quite firmly, making the boy sit back in his chair.

"You'd better stay here and do all these exams. Are there any difficult questions, shouldn't they be? Since all these questions... have nothing to do with your everyday life, Jack. How are you feeling now? Is there any pain?" Alicia asked with a big smile, trying to distract Jack from Jane.

"Mmm... I'm fine. But... what about Jane. Is she okay, or has something bad happened to her?" Jack looked at the exit and saw Jane who had disappeared from behind the door.

"She'll be fine, Jack. You don't have to worry. Hey, are you awake now?" Alicia asked back as she stroked Jack's shiny white hair.
