Chapter 47

The sun rose to signal the start of another day but I was sleeping quite comfortably with Zaya in my arms. Yesterday was a rough one for her until I showed up to save her from the nightmarish trauma that she would have went thru at the hands of the Shadow Guild. We slept for a few more hours until she opened her eyes and looked at me. She kissed my lips before I opened my eyes. I looked into her eyes and smiled.

"Good morning sweetheart. Did you sleep well?" I asked.

"Every dream I had last night had you in it. You're truly my heroic king." she replied.

"Zaya, remember when I told you that I will always protect you?"

"Yes, I remember."

"When I said that, I meant it. And I showed that I meant it yesterday. I will always protect you, no matter what."

"Oh Michael."

Tears start to fall from her eyes as she hugged me. I grabbed my phone and search for a song. I found it in a matter of seconds. It was "Count On Me" by Default. I started to play it. She started to listen to it and after it was done playing, I kissed her passionately.

"Zaya, will you spend the rest of your life with me?"

"Yes!" she cried tears of joy.

We kissed each other for a few moments before Sara, Kate, Grace, Erica, and Ryan came into the room. They just had breakfast at the tavern. Sara knew what was going on while the others was somewhat wondering what was going on. Sara hugged Zaya and welcomed her into the sisterhood of my wives.

After 30 minutes of talking and getting dressed. All of us left the inn to head to the city lord's mansion. I was getting stared at by most men. I feel the envy and jealousy coming from them. I hope they remember what I have done to the slave trader yesterday or I will have to make another example in Silverton. Luckily, no one dared to challange me as I walked towards the mansion that houses the city lord.

I walk to the gate in front of the mansion and the guard there was the same one from 2 days ago. He knew I was here to talk to the city lord. He went and got him.

"Ah, Michael. I see that you're back. To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit here?" Chen said.

"I came to tell you that the Shadow Guild HQ was destroyed. I went there after rescuing my other wife from them." I told him.

"I see so I should thank you for that." Chen replied.

"Not at all. The pleasure was all mine."

"Thank you. Is there anything else that needs to be discussed?"

"Well, there is one thing. I'll be sending 500 BAA soldiers to assist your guards on protecting the Silverton after they're done with the operation in the Dwarven Kingdom on the Eastern Continent."

"Thank you. That would be greatly appreciated."

"I will be heading back to my kingdom now. See ya sometime, Chen."

I left and was about to walk towards the location of the teleportation room when I saw another slave trader. I told everyone to stay where they are as I walked towards the jackass. He was yelling at one of the slaves that he was selling when he felt my killing intent. He literally shit himself.

"I see someone forgot their brown pants." I said then started to laugh. His slaves started laughing. Then the people that was walking by started to laugh. His face was beat red with embarrassment. Though, My intent was to scare the guy, I couldn't help but roast him at the spot. He turned around and looked at me.

"How dare you laugh at me. Do you know who I am?" said the slave trader with an angry face. I was about to deliver one of my favorite sayings.

"How about I tell you that I went to the bank to see if I have any fucks to give. They said that I have none. So I don't know and I don't give a fuck. All I see someone who just shit themselves. Also, I see someone that is about to get a bullet in the dome because you're a slave trader. I know that Silverton has outlawed slavery. So you see, you're in one bad situation right now."

The slave trader's face went pale. He finally understood that he's in danger. Still, he doesn't know who I am.

"You're probably wondering who I am. Well, I'm the Mad Dog King of the Barnes Kingdom and former Duke of Rommol. I'm the hero that pushed the Dark Lord's forces out of to continents. I just destroyed the Shadow Guild's HQ. My name is Michael motherfucking Barnes and I'm going to kill you now!" I said as loud as I can for everyone to hear me. I summoned my Glock and used "Quick Draw". A shot rang out and the slave trader's head snapped back before falling backwards. There's a hole between his eyes. His skull must be a little thicker than most because there was no exit wound. He was dead on the spot.

I gather all the slaves from the tents. Again, mostly women and beast kin. I told them to follow me. I meet up with my group and we all walk to the teleportation room. The guards nod their heads as I walk by. A few minutes later, I'm home as I guide everyone to the throne room. I take off my hat and set it on the arm of my chair and put my crown on. The slaves kneed as soon as they see me put my crown on. I sit on my throne. Sara, Kate, and Zaya stood on my right, Ryan, Grace, and Erica was on my left.

"Rise!" I said in a strong tone. A battle maid walked in from a side door and I told her to tell Ann to come to the throne room and to tell my wives that I have returned.

"As you know, I am the Mad Dog King. I have brought you to my kingdom to free you from slavery. My views on the practice is that it shouldn't be happening at all. Now that you're free. I bet most of you would like to find a place to live and work. Some of you kids may have no parents so those of you that no parents may stay here for now."

Ann walks in and sees the former slaves. She knows what she is here for.

"Everyone, this way please." she said to the former slaves. They follow her out the large doors. A few minutes later, my wives come in. When Michelle saw Erica. she stopped.

"Erica?" she said. I could she that tears was forming in her eyes.

"Big sister Michelle!" Erica shouted as she ran towards Michelle. They embraced each other and started to cry. I started to choke up seeing the reunion. My other wives was a bit puzzled at first until the situation cleared itself. When Michelle and Erica calmed down enough, I explained what happened from day one in Silverton. I introduced Zaya, Grace, Ryan, and Erica. I told Iris that she should train Ryan as I told her that his swordsmanship has a lot of potential and he could be one of the greatest to ever hold a sword. Sara looked at me and told me that she will help Iris with Ryan and she's taking Erica and Grace under her wing as well. I nodded. As the wives welcomed everyone new. I sit back and said softly," It's good to be home."
