Chapter 63

"Prepare for battle!"

So I start to think about a strategy to maximize the chance of winning this naval battle without losing a ship or men. Since we have the cannons and of course my soldiers with their M 1s, and then there's me, Sara, and Kate. If we were to split our ships up, 17 on side and 16 on the other. I signal the rest of the ships to split up into 2 groups. My ship will be in the group on the right. I summon my grenade launcher and switch to the ERLP grenade rounds. I wait until I get in range. I fire a round at the closest ship. I watch it go through the air and land on the deck. What I didn't see was that it found a way to drop into the ship. It explodes and I see the ship start to sink. I hear cheering from my ships but I can't stop to cheer. I ready the next shot. and fire. This round does the same thing. Another loud boom and another ship starts sinking. Now my soldiers are in range to start picking off the Dark Lord's sailors. However, the sailors aren't human. They're goblins and orcs.

My soldiers start firing. Goblins and orcs start to fall. My ships are in position and I hear the cannons start to fire. The cannons are firing explosive rounds so every hit will be more devastating. More of the Dark Lord's ships are sinking. I see panic on the decks of the Dark Lord's ships. I summon my minigun and aim down to hit the waterline of the ships. I fire a few thousand rounds and I see some of the ships start to list. I then aim towards the deck and resumed firing. More goblins and orcs fall. At this point, you can't call this a battle anymore, just an one sided ass whooping. As soon as the last of my ships past the last of the Dark Lord's ships, only one of his ships was still good but heavily damaged. Sienna walks up beside me.

"So one still stands?"

"Yeah. Debating if I want to turn around and destroy it or not. Don't want to waste any more time as I know now that the Dark Lord's ground forces are on Dragon Island."

"Let me see if I can sink it."

"You're more than welcome to try."

Sienna summons her trident and closes her eyes. She points the trident at the remaining ship and the trident starts to glow. Then a golden beam shoots out and hits the ship. It explodes into pieces.

"Now there's none." said Sienna while walking away.

I signal the ships to gather and to go at top speed. I ask for damage reports. other than a few sails getting holes, no damage and no casualties. Now it's time to get to Dragon Island.

The next day...

I'm on the deck, looking at the smoke that is rising form Dragon Island. The Dark Lord's forces made a mistake by not destroying the docks in their port town but the town looked in rough shape. We dock and start to get off from the ship. I use my senses and there are a number of townsfolk and enemies in town. I order my men to be on guard and to get their rifles ready. I tell me wives to stay on the ship. I summon my Tommy gun and begin going towards the enemies.

I find a house that had 2 enemies and a prisoner inside. The prisoner is of course female and bust the door down. 2 goblins turn and try to attack me but go down hail of lead. I walk towards the prisoner and she's traumatize from the abuse that she suffered. She looks up at me.

"It's ok, we're here to help." I said while extending my hand. She gets up and hugs me.

"Thank god you came in time. They were going to make me their plaything." she told me as she started to cry. I lead her out and find a soldier to lead her to a safe zone as I go back to work. I clear out a few more houses. I found 7 more prisoners altogether. Killed 5 goblins and 4 orcs. My men go through and ended up rescuing 87 prisoners and killed 203 goblins and orcs. Most prisoners were women but there were a few kids in there too. With the town swept, I signal for my ship to come back so my wives can finally get off the ship. They check on the survivors that we rescued and then walk up to me.

"How are the prisoners?" I asked.

"We're in rough shape psychologically speaking but physically sound. They need Ann tp help them through the trauma they suffered here."

I sensed something coming fast as I looked towards the tall mountain and I knew it was a dragon. The dragon landed in front of me and transformed into human form. The dragon was a man. Looked roughly in his late 30's to early 40's. 6'1" and 200 lbs. of muscles. Black hair, orange eyes with a iris of a dragon. He walks up to me.

"Who are you and why are you here?" he asked with a serious tone.

"Michael Barnes, the Mad Dog King of the Barnes Kingdom and commander of the Barnes Alliance Army. Who might you be?"

"I'm Eric, crown prince of Dragon Island. Are you here to attack us too?"

"If that was the case, I would have killed you already. I'm here to see if I can get Dragon Island to join the Barnes Alliance. But after running into the Dark Lord's ships yesterday, it has turned into a rescue mission. How are your forces holding up?"

"Not too good, a forth of this island's army has been killed or severely injured. The Dark Lord's army is 20,000 strong with 5 demons. They have Mountain City surrounded. We have been defending with 9,000 soldiers and dragoons but I'm afraid that we might be able to hold out for 2 more days."

"Go back and tell your father and your forces that help is on the way."

Eric transforms back into a dragon and flies away fast. I gather the commanding officers and tell them to round up the troops. As soon ass the soldiers gather, I tell them that we need to go and wipe out the Dark Lord's forces that have Mountain City surrounded. And we'll make it there in a day.

"SOLDIERS, FORWARD MARCH AND DOUBLE TIME IT!"

My wives went back to the ship with the survivors. Well, all except Sienna and her 3 guards.

The next day...

I hear fighting and I know that we made it to the battlefield. I used my senses to find the 5 demons and sure enough, they were at the gate, trying to break through. I look at Sienna and her 3 guards.

"Get ready, we're going to attack. Be careful since there's 5 demons there. If you come across them, yell for me."

"Ok my love. Just you be careful to. I don't want to explain to my sisters why you're not coming back."

"Don't worry, I'll be alright."

I issue the order to aim then I summon my Sledgehammer. I yell, "FIRE!" Their M1's went off and I see the demons stop trying to break down the gate. and look back. The surprise look on their faces, PRICELESS! I begin to grin. I start running into the fray and yell, "CHARGE!"

The demons start running towards my position. I begin to fire my Sledgehammer into the goblins, orcs, and ogres. My soldiers, who already have their bayonets fixed on the end, begin mixing into the fight. Even the Dragon army's soldiers and dragoons started to run out of the gates since the demons have left there to attack me. I pull Excalibur from it's sheath and get ready to swing as I see one of the 5 demons closing in. I swing and cut him in half. I turn and stab him in the head. I know, overkill, but I don't give a fuck. The next demon tries to attack me from behind but I turn around and swing towards his head. His head goes flying. The last 3 surround me.

"Human, this is where you meet your end." said one of them.

"So you think 3 on 1 is good odds? Let me tell you this, many have tried to kill the Old Barn but none have lived so be my mother fucking guest."

They jump at me at the same time but I quickly stepped out of the attack and cut another demon in half while I fired my Sledgehammer at the other 2 to make them fall. Before they could get up, I stab one of the 2 remaining demons in the back of the head and kicked the other in the face, breaking his nose.

"It's time to go back to hell, dickhead."

I swung down, cutting the last demon down.

"3 on 1, heh. I've faced worse."

I continue to go around the battlefield, killing goblins, orcs, and ogres until there was none left. The BAA didn't suffer a casualty. Mountain City was safe. I see Eric walk out of the main gate with 2 more people. One older man and a younger woman. They walk up to me.

"You must be the Mad Dog King of the Barnes Kingdom. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Thomas, the Dragon King. And this is my daughter, Tetra. I'm grateful that you showed up. But I have to ask, how did you deal with the demons?"

"With Excalibur, of course."

"You have Excalibur? Let me see." Tetra was stunned.

I unsheathed Excalibur and she looked at it closely.

"This is Excalibur!" she said then kneeled. Eric and Thomas also kneeled. I look around and see all the soldiers and dragoons that made up the Dragon Army started to kneel. Sienna walked up to me.

"What happened?" She's looking as puzzled as I am.

I put Excalibur away and tell everyone to get up.

"Is there a story about Excalibur on this island?" I asked Thomas.

"Yes, passed down from generation to generation. The first Dragon King was named Arthur. He made Excalibur to face off against the first Dark Lord. That battle, Arthur defeated the Dark Lord and cut him down with Excalibur. When he passed away, Excalibur was passed down to his son and so forth. However, around 300 years ago, the Dragon King of that time lost his life on the Eastern Continent and the sword was lost until now. Where did you find the sword?"

"In a shop in Rommol. I asked the shopkeeper about the sword and he told me a relative found the sword. So I have to ask, was Arthur from a different world?"

"Yes, records say that he was from a world called England."

"Let me tell you something, Arthur was from England and that England is from my world! I'm from the Untied States of America. However, Unlike Arthur, who was a King in my world during the medieval era, I was a normal guy going through a rough patch of my life. The story of King Arthur in my world is inconsistent but he had Excalibur. Now me on the other hand, I came to this world as a reincarnated person of mixed nationalities but the biggest part of my blood isn't English. It's Irish." I said to Thomas.

"Excalibur may have chosen you to be the wielder due to you being a reincarnated person from Arthur's world."

"That could be the case, Thomas."

"However, those who wield Excalibur is the true heir of the mantle of Dragon King."

"Well, I rather be known as the Mad Dog King."

"Ok but you also own Dragon Island too."

"Well, I guess that means I don't have to ask you if you want to join the Barnes Alliance then."

"We would have joined regardless of Excalibur since the Dark Lord broke the non-aggression pact."

"What if he didn't and I came without Excalibur?"

"Well, I believe you would have convinced us to join anyways. Besides, Tetra has been talking about meeting you for a year now so I think she's smitten by your character."

I look at Tetra and she blushes.

"Haha, is that so?"

"Yes." Eric said.

"Well, let me get my wives here since all but Sienna is back on the ship."

"You mean the Queen of the Mermaids?" asked Thomas.

"Yes."

"My god! How many wives do you have?"

I start listing them and when I was done, Thomas and Eric was bowing to me, saying, "We're not worthy."
