Deja Vu

Four years ago when I was first getting married to prince Albert Daniel Trevino of the royal family I was 18 and barely an adult.

My mom told me that marrying him would bring me the most joy in my life.

Turns out she lied because here I am, slamming papers onto the prince's desk. Specifically, divorce papers.

"Crystalia I told you that I was busy today-"

"I'm sure you can make some time in divorcing your soon-to-be ex-wife." I grin. I'm holding up a paper titled '101 reasons why you should divorce me' and I pat the list of divorce papers I placed on this desk. "Hm?"

The room feels cold, like I had just woken up from a bad dream. But this wasn't a bad dream, this was a dream that I had been searching for and trying to complete forever. The dream is at my fingertips, but I know when I finally grab it, I will only be surrounded by no one again.

"Crystalia I am not divorcing you-" he sighs and reads through the rest. "What's reason number 101?"

I grin and Albert sighs.

"Alright hand the papers over," I hand him the divorce papers and Daisy serves us a cup of hot tea.

"What happens if I don't sign this?"

"It's time to finish our marriage." I hum. "You will sign this like the good nobleman you are."

"Ah but..." He pulls me by the wrist and lowers his voice. "You're the one who made me a corrupt one."

"Kinky but my vacation is doing a much better job at seducing me compared to you," I grin. "I need my break."

Albert lets go of me and signs the paper.

"I've told Zach already. The revolution starts in a week once Solaire returns with the signal. Please tell the children I will be hiding for the next four years."

"When will the memory spell take effect?"

I smile. "Once I step foot outside this place. No one will remember, not even the temple."

"Please take care of yourself Duchess," Daisy hands me my suitcase and I smile.

"I shall meet you when the universe shall have it!" I smile.

"Then…" Albert kisses my hand, and he bows. "I shall see you when the universe allows it"

I bolt to the secret passage of the mansion, and I rush to the forest near the border of Phoenicia. When I step foot outside of the mansion, a strong wind hits me, and continues until- ah, what was I doing running out of a mansion again?

The mansion feels cold and I rush off to the forest where my house is.

I needed to go home.
