Chapter 9- Last of University Life

Bruce came home after the culprit was taken by the police. It took him 5 minutes to reach Wayne Manor. It has been a long time since he last did this. Without his many gadgets, he had many problems chasing & finding the culprit.

Other than the special suit he needed his different Special Batarangs, Shock Gloves inbuilt in his Gauntlet, his X-Ray Vision fitted Cowl, Smoke Pellets, Freeze Pellets and Explosive Pellets, Line Launcher, Special Tape to capture criminals, Small laser cutter, Cryptographic Sequencer, and most of all his Utility Belt to hold all these equipment.

He also needs to upgrade his prototype version Grappling Gun which he is going to call Bat-claw after the upgrade and his Explosive-Gel. He has so much to work and spend on. At least the X-Ray device will help bring money to his company.

Other than these he also has to work on his Bat-Cycle, Bat-Mobile, and Bat-Jet. These three are crucial for him. If his Bat-Jet was ready, he could have caught up to them before they even leave Hell's Kitchen.

And then there are the requirements of secret tunnels from Roosevelt Island to Manhattan and Queens. As Roosevelt Island is Wayne Property, anything coming out of there will be connected to him. The good news is East River is not that deep there. At most 12 meters.

But the thing is, most of these have to be done by Alfred alone. All he can do is provide him with blueprints & ideas. He needs someone like Fox and his genius son right now, who will help him by making all the equipment he needs. Who knows, maybe in the future he will find someone.

He has to go to university again. He will only come back after 1.5 years. After completing his Graduation.

When Bruce entered the house through a secret tunnel he saw Alfred and Katie were standing there, waiting for him.

Alfred- "Welcome back Master Bruce."

Katie- "Are you ok? You're not hurt anywhere are you?"

Bruce- "Don't worry Kate. I am fine. You should rest. You had a tough day. Another tough day is coming. Press Conference."

Katie- "Oh, yeah. Just thinking about all those questions that are going to come up tomorrow is making me cry."

Bruce- "If someone is giving you hard time, you can just leave after giving some simple excuse. All the other reporters will blame it on the person who gave you the hard time. This is a simple trick to avoid the press. And after a few times, they will stop bothering you with too many questions."

Katie- "Yeah. That is a good idea. But others will talk bad about me. Then that will affect Wayne Enterprise."

Bruce- "It doesn't matter what you do, there will always be someone who will talk bad about you. All you have to do is look past them."

Katie- "Yeah, I guess."

Alfred- "You siblings should have dinner and rest for tonight. Master Bruce will have to leave after two days. So you have tomorrow free. Talk all you want at that time."

Bruce- "I guess we should. Let's go, Kate."

They had a nice dinner made by Alfred. But before going to sleep he told his AI to track all that is happening with Harry Wilson.

At midnight Bruce woke up from an alarm started by his AI.

Bruce- "What happened?"

AI- "At exactly 12:23 a.m. Harry Wilson's custody was changed to FBI, and all his information is classified. Anyone under Chief Police Commissioner cannot see any of his information. Some data are even classified for the Chief Police Commissioner. Like Harry Wilson has mind control power."

Bruce- "So FBI took over the case because the criminal is special."

AI- "There is more sir. The data got uploaded to the FBI database within 12:25. It took me 20 minutes to hack into the FBI database. But it also showed classified there. The data and the criminal both got transferred to a different agency."

Bruce- "What did you find about the agency?"

AI- "Other than their name sir, nothing. It is called SHIELD. Their security was too tight. I could not enter without being exposed."

Bruce- "Ok. No problem. I have to upgrade your program anyway. We will find out about this SHIELD at that time. Now tell me who was it that escorted the prisoner."

AI- "From the incident site he was arrested by Detective George Stacy. From the police station, he was escorted by Agent Phillip Jones and Agent Natalia Shostakova. After that, there is no information that I can collect."

Bruce- "So that means he is not in FBI custody. He is in some special place. Ok. After going back to university my first job will be to upgrade you so that you can at least hack into anywhere I want."

I the morning their full family had breakfast together, after such a long time. This happy occasion continued for one more day. Bruce now had to return to the university again.

Katie- "You are going again. This part is really sad."

Bruce- "Yes, I have to. Don't worry, only 1.5 years is left."

Katie- "Yeah. *SIGH* I can handle that. Right?"

Bruce- "Of course you can. Your studies are going to complete in 4 months. Then you can focus fully on the company. I will ask for a patent for a new and advanced X-Ray device. It's going to be a huge help in the medical department. And its market will also be huge. So you just have to handle the management."

Katie- "Now be safe."

Bruce- "Yes mother."

Bruce dodged the flying shoe that came for his head. Then left for his university with his new black Ferrari F430.

It has been one year since the Incident at home. Recently he got his patent in the new advanced X-Ray Machine. This one is not bulky like the old one that everyone is using right now. It is cutting-edge technology advancement. It looks like a big smartphone, rectangular device, 500x300 cm. It can even show X-Ray pictures much better than the previous device. This technology is groundbreaking. Initial emergency treatment won't take long, thanks to this device. The doctor can even change the intensity of the image to see not only Bones but also Blood Vessels. It will save many people's lives. He wanted to make it smaller and compact. But projection screen or hologram is not that advanced for now.

Of course, he made a compact version for himself that he will use on his cowl.

According to Harvard Teachers, he is the most talented student they ever had. He had three more months in the university. But since he submitted his Final Project, he can graduate early. Sometimes some students take some extra months to complete their project. But submitting early and with 3 majors, this is the first time.

His AI is the most advanced AI that this world has seen. But hacking into the SHIELD database proved challenging. They have so many clearance levels. And every clearance level security is harder than the last. And that is also because all of them are on a different server. And they are not connected to the World Wide Web. They use completely different servers which are handled by their satellites. Sometimes they had to connect to the general internet, and at those times Bruce's AI can find the vulnerability to hack into the SHIELD private network. He has only gathered some pieces of data from there.

From all that he has gathered, for now, he can say that The Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division, better known by its acronym S.H.I.E.L.D., is an American extra-governmental counter-terrorism and intelligence agency, tasked with maintaining both national and global security. And all the supernatural events that happen around the world, SHIELD agents are the one who responds first. They hide all that they can from the public.

It was established right after the defeat of HYDRA in World War 2, in the hand of Captain America. After Captain America's disappearance SHIELD was established by Howard Stark, Chester Phillips, and Peggy Carter. From there he found information about two advanced materials. That is really what he needed at this moment. One is Vibranium and the other is Adamantium.

The unique feature of vibranium is that it can absorb all vibrational energies. The metal can absorb different forms of vibration from physical force to sound waves. The energy absorbed is stored in the bonds of molecules and in turn, makes the metal more difficult to destroy.

Adamantium on the other hand is virtually indestructible. It is very dense and has survived exposure to multiple nuclear blasts. Adamantium can also cut through any material. To create it, the steel alloy and vibranium alloy are mixed in a melted state then allowed to set. Once stable, the adamantium cannot be further manipulated.

After 1 year 1 month Bruce is again returning home. Now he is planning to meet the sorcerer again. That bald woman had something to say last time but did not say it then. He now needs to know what is it that she did not say. And there is also another thing that he had to confirm with her. During practicing his martial arts he is feeling more energetic, more powerful.
