Chapter 34 Final Battle

With a large amount of heavy footsteps the warlock got up and looked behind him. Seeing the maybe two hundred large army that looked pretty beat up. Sizing up in rows of dwarves only made the warlock's anger grow.

And with a target now in sight unleashed it upon his enemy.

Casting a giant fireball spell into the enemy army instantly obliterating them as they panicked as this miniature sun landed in the middle of the army.

With panic filling the dwarven ranks the warlock ordered the kobolds to charge. Almost immediately after a loud shout was heard which seemed to be an order of some kind.

The remaining dwarves swiftly formed new ranks as larger dwarves arrived behind the original dwarves. Ten or so dwarves of larger stature settled in with weapons fitted for their larger sizes.

And behind the dwarves was a giant dwarf who seemed to contain a trace of wisdom within his eyes.

With Jack seeing the giant dwarf understood everything. The giant dwarf was a feral dwarf who awakened his wisdom and with it became a higher ranking dwarf. Capable of leadership and command of the feral dwarfs which allowed for the organization of the dwarves.

Also his opponent must have ordered the leader to charge the enemy to escape the attackers and complete all objectives first.

Though it seems that the dwarven attacking force isn't large enough to win against the kobolds. With maybe thirty regular dwarfs alongside the elite and leader they were extremely outnumbered compared to the hundred strong kobold army. Especially when the army was assisted by the dragonoid warlock from behind the dwarves had no chance.

Though the elite and leader dwarves were stronger and able to win against multiple kobolds they weren't enough to win.

With the leader taken down the match ended with all the believers regrouping inside the virtual preparation stage. With all the members revived they looked at each and rejoiced at this opportunity. With a pep talk from the warlock on how their win was honored with the revival of the fallen the morale of the believers grew to new heights.

Jack was looking over the new rankings noticing his improved rank and tried to challenge rank 1 but saw they though the same name they were once again occupied. Constantly looking over the ranking he kept waiting for the chance to challenge.

Though with a message popping up he knew that today would be a long day. Getting challenged by someone of lower rank he was pulled into another match.

This time Jack thought back to his previous match and tried to make preparations for the situations he was lacking in and mistakes he made. Taking this and future battles to be training he informed the warlock that he will face many more battles.

With Jack once again letting the warlock assume command he watched over how the battle wasn't as close since not all the dragonoids were sent. With some on defense alongside having scouts in the outside the base to look for the attackers it was much easier to defend.

Jack was happy with the performance as his believers once again celebrated in the preparation stage.

Facing many more battles while checking the ranking during them he noticed the ranking changed less and less as time went on besides the addition of new members who sometimes jumped ranking. Though normally the longer you took the weaker your realm. Though this didn't stop many from challenging the higher ranks to test their luck.

Eventually the challenges seemed to stop as Jack finally proposed a challenge to the first rank. Sending a message to the warlock that it would be a tough battle he entered into the battlefield.

Hoping that he would win he watched as the curtain fell signaling the start of the battle.

With attacking teams consisting of kobolds and dragonoids of various sizes to destroy certain objectives alongside keeping dragonoids and most of the kobolds behind the warlock felt secure defending.

Going on the offensive would be risky and not worth it since he was a spellcaster. Though he tried to hide among the other dragonoids but soon realized how different he looked.

He just waited next to the monument with most of the army as the other objectives were given up. Though he kept scouts on them to report when they were destroyed.

Waiting for the enemy time passed as the attacking dragonoids arrived ahead of the kobolds. With some teams waiting for their kobolds and the pure dragonoid teams going ahead the attackers split up to fulfill their duties.

The pure dragonoid team was to attack the monument and then the leader though if the leader was unseen report back to base. They were able to sneak past the many goblins around the enemy base creeping up on the monument. Though with a cry from a goblin who noticed this giant beast the dragonoids sprinted to the monument trying to destroy it.

They were successful but as the monument was broken they were hit by several spells heavily injuring them. Though they had minor magic resistance they could still be hurt and didn't have magic immunity like dragons.

Seeing the group of spellcasters, knowing they would be revived on winning and that they were a threat to losing the injured dragonoids rushed the goblin spellcasters who rushed to prepare another spell.

With many goblin warriors protecting the casters they arrived not too late as a couple goblin casters died as the dragonoids fell. The now organized kobold and dragonoid groups entered the enemy base without a clue that their fellow attackers had been killed.

With a distraction the two main objective destroying teams arrived at their targets without a problem. With preparations being made ahead of time the food storage and village hall was set on fire.

Though once the fire grew water poured down from above as the flames were put out. Surprised the two groups noticed a group of spellcasters alongside guards preparing their next spells targeted directly at them.
