"Soooo, you are a famous fashion designer. Parents are rich and they seem like they want a lot from you. If I were to guess, you... were probably forced to marry someone. Didn't really matter who, like it wasn't arranged but they did want someone of good standing?" I inquire. Grey smiles.
"Nope. First, my parents don't care if I get married or not, they just want money, and second, I wanted to because I've always admired you and have been hearing about you for a long time. Luckily I'm a part of this candidacy now to get the chance to meet you in person and finally see the person I love." He smiles before standing and hovering over me. "Yes, you're the person I love." He bends over so his face is closer to mine. "So, I had to hop on this opportunity that so coincidentally opened up." He steps back and sits back down. I start blushing and to cover it up, I pat my cheeks.
"Uh... I don't know what to say. Um... Rudy... how about you?" He looks a bit nervous like he is scared to say it.
"Well... you might not be able to guess so... I-I'll just tell... you." He definitely looks nervous but I don't say anything.
"So, um... a couple of years ago seeing as I'm one year younger than you, I was just starting high school and you were going to the same one as me even though you were rich. And I admired that. Besides that, my parents aren't well off and they did a lot for me to even be in a school THAT good even though it still isn't the "best." And after going for a couple of months, I wasn't doing well in school and was struggling and you saw me crouched in a corner at lunchtime and sat next to me. You listened to what I had to say and told me you would help me get better at school so I wouldn't have to leave. After all that I got better in school and sooner or later learned that I was good at soccer, and now... I'm here. And so, I don't think I ever forgot you." He says finishing while still looking shy. And I just blush some more before standing up out of nowhere.
"Um, thank you. I'm sorry I don't remember but thank you for that... I'm a bit shy right now soooo I'm going to the bathroom." I speed walk to the door before pulling it and leaving the room.
On my way to one of the bathrooms, I crash into Isaac who tries to say something while holding me in his arms but after seeing my face that is clearly red, he decides to let me go and while I'm speed walking away, I can tell he is still standing there watching me leave.
"OMG. I actually ran away. I cannot believe they both said things like that to me, in front of each other. I'm so embarrassed!! Mostly because that's the first someone actually said they loved me." I look into the mirror at my cherry red face. "Hey, it's the same color as my silk robe this morning," I say to myself before laughing out loud. I wash my face a little to calm down before stepping out and heading back to the living room when my phone rings.
"Hello?" I say while slowly walking in the same direction.
"My granddaughter!" I stop in place. I forgot about my grandfather! He's the one that made this whole thing happen and I forgot to tell him soooo.... "I cannot believe you're hosting a marriage candidacy and you didn't tell me before."
I walk over to the foyer seats and sit down in one of them.
"Grand-f-ather. How nice to hear from you. Sorry I didn't tell you.... I wanted it to be a surprise! Yeah, one that you would see on live television. Haha Haha." I laugh nervously.
"Yes my child. I guess you could call it that. No matter. You seemed to plan this well. I'm guessing you're to pick someone after a year? Good luck with that my dear." Grandfather then laughs those deep heavy laughs after and that's when I start stressing.
"Crap I forgot that, that is true. I have to pick someone and everyone is so nice and good-looking and I'm going to have to pick from 6? That I've lived with for a year? Sighhhh." Grandfather chuckles.
"I know you can do it. I just wanted to find out how it's going that's all. Not stress you out." I smile.
"Thanks, grandfather. Only three are here currently but it's going well." We talk some more before he hung up and I walk over to the living room where the three of them are arguing over something so I barge in.
"Hey, hey!!! Stop!! You're going to have to live together for a year so try to get along!!" I say. They all stop talking and then Isaac starts talking again.
"Sorry Elizabeth. I saw it looked like you were really embarrassed back there so I thought I'd find out why and these guys here decided to play around and hide it from me." I look at the two of them and Rudy shrugs his shoulders while Grey is looking away. I go over and sit next to him.
"Grey. It's not your fault, nor Rudy's. I just, never had that said to me before. I was actually happy to hear it. And, I want you guys to get along so please try not to play around... too much?" They both look at me before saying sorry.
"And Rudy, I know you have nothing to do with this." I smile at him and he laughs. I don't know if it's because he's the youngest why I feel I should protect him? Whatever, what I should be thinking about is the fact that this feels so comfortable and nice. To have the house full of such... life. Male life some might say. I chuckle to myself and they all look at me.
"Nothing. You can disperse now and look around if you'd like. I'm going to be chilling in my room if you need anything. Not anything like THAT, please!" They laugh while I just stand.
"Whatever! Just, nice meeting you guys yeah?" I start walking and Grey is the first to stand and hug me.
"Nice meeting you!" He then walks out of the room with some pep in his step.
Isaac then walks over and that's when I realize he's really tall. They actually all will be taller than me based on my research of them. I'm 5'5 but they range from 5'11 to 6'3 so that is some wide range in height compared to me. And what's funny is I didn't realize his height until now even though I crashed into him earlier.
He hugs me too but this time he does something different from Grey. He whispers,
"I'll definitely come to see you if I "need" anything." And then he backs away smirking before whistling and walking slowly out the door. I blush before waiting to see what Rudy will do.
He seems like he wants to just give a handshake so instead, I initiate the hug.
"It's nice meeting you Rudy. Try not to be too shy next time. We could have so much fun seeing as I love soccer and think I can play pretty well." He laughs before saying,
"We'll see." I laugh too and he walks off not before turning and looking at me and smiling before leaving.
I fall back onto the sofa closing my eyes. 'Man, that was a lot. I can only imagine what six guys will be like in here.
