What Now?

I awake to the sound of clicking cameras and a large number of voices outside the mansion. I jump out of bed and quickly get some decent clothes on before walking outside to the foyer where the butler is pacing back and forth.

"Butler? What is happening?" He stops after I say this.

"I have no idea, Miss. I awoke a couple minutes ago before walking to the window and I saw... the press! Did you perhaps call them here again?" He says looking worried.

"No! I didn't. That's so weird. I'm going to have to address them sometime though... wish me luck?" He nods before stepping away from the door to let me through.

I swing the doors open and bright lights hit my face.

"Wait! Wait, all of you! I just wanted to know, why are you gathered here? There wasn't a scheduled press meeting or anything so why are you here today?" Someone answers.

"Haven't you seen the news yet?" They say before looking at their phone and then handing it to me to look at. The headline says:

NATHAN HERTZ ANNOUNCES HE HAD A RUDE ENCOUNTER WITH ELIZABETH CARNELL AND WISHES TO SPEAK MORE ON THE MATTER WITH HER BEHIND CLOSED DOORS.

My mouth is open before I start talking once more.

"Um, so did you come to find out more about this so-called "rude encounter"?" I ask. They all nod and agree.

"Well first things. Nathan Hertz was an old fling if you guys remember and he clearly wanted to come back saying he would be a "better" man than he was and I know that's a lie. So, if you would please, take these words and move on with this story? I would like some peace and quiet now. Thank you, again." I say before walking back into the house without answering questions.

I slowly close the door and then walk and sit down in one of the foyer sofas. I close my eyes for a little before hearing some shuffling as someone sat next to me. I open one eye and see Katsuki sitting next to me with his glasses in his hands.

"Hey. Seems like you're having a hard time?" He says patting my head.

"Haha. Thanks for that. Yeah. Being someone in the fame part of life is sort of difficult. Everything you do brings the press to your house." I sigh and he looks at me.

"There was this one time that seeing as I created a tech company, that my parents wanted me to just give up on my leisure time and I decided, just for a short amount of time to just, take a break and leave for a couple of days and that whole time, press in Japan was trying to "find me" like I was missing or something. At that point, I even left a note saying I was taking a break. They really thought I was missing." He laughs and I do too.

"That's the "famous" life I guess?" I shake my head playfully.

"Yeah. Soooo, I saw the news." He says going back to being serious and I chuckle.

"I'm sure everyone has. At this point, Nathan should probably just come here. See if I care." We both sit back sighing right before the doorbell rings. I gasp before whispering to Katsuki.

"Do you think it's him?" He shrugs his shoulders before getting up. I try pulling him back down so I can answer the door but he shakes his head.

"I'll do it, milady." He walks calmly to the door before slightly opening it.

"Ah, another gentleman, I wonder how many reside here right now?" I hear Nathan say before it seems like he tries pushing the door more open than Katsuki has it right now.

"Um, sir. Is there a reason you are here right now? The missus has to give you permission first to take a step in here." Katsuki says politely.

"Um. Missus? Haha. You're funny. Now let me in nicely? Okay?" Nathan says still trying to push which this time he does push it enough.

"Wait! You aren't allowed in here!" Katsuki says more upset now.

"Now hold on a minute! I have more right than you guys do because-" He steps in and once he sees me sitting in the sofa in the foyer with my legs crossed and my hand under my chin, he stops in his tracks while also stopping his talking.

I stand up and slowly walk up to him before poking hard at his shoulder.

"Why are you here? Haven't you gotten over the fact that we broke up Nathan!" I yell and he chuckles.

"Didn't you read the news darling? I wanted to speak... behind closed doors. And not around these... gentlemen." He says stepping closer to me. I step back before shaking my head at Katsuki who seems very angry and "uncontrollable" right now.

"Fine. Just... let me take you to the living space or something." I shake my head again leading him to the living area where the group of us were gathered a couple of days ago.

We finally sit across from each other and he begins talking once more.

"Elizabeth! I'm sorry how things turned out but if your grandfather needed you to marry, we could have just made up and-" I interrupt him.

"No! You can't say that we can just "make up" Nathan! I broke up with you! I should be saying that I'll make up with you when I think it's right. Right now... you're making me think worse of you!" I say upsettingly.

"Hahaha. There's no way you could think less of me! We still have a relationship whether you like it or not." He stands up and starts walking towards me. I stand up also but to move away.

"That isn't true. A relationship is being connected, interconnected. And in my opinion, we aren't connected at all. Unless you mean in a bad way, then yes." I say before my back touches a wall and Nathan stands in front of me before placing his hands on either side of my head, against the wall.

"Hmm, seems you can't forget me though. That's a good thing though." His face inches closer to mine and I try pushing away from him when he hugs me. I continue struggling against his body.

"Stop Nathan! I didn't meet for this! I don't care if you "feel" we should get married because I don't care for you anymore after you became over-possessive like you are now and right now I'm not even dating you! There's a problem with that! Please, can you leave? I can't bother with you right now and I most certainly don't think you're ready to be anything other than my ex right now." I say before someone barges in and rips me away from Nathan. "Katsuki?" I say when I see who it is that is now holding me.

"How dare you walk in here and even TOUCH her? You have no right!" I can tell Katsuki is seething with anger. He isn't wearing his glasses so it makes him look even older and his brows are furrowed.

"Ha. You think you can tell me I have no right? At least I dated her? You just live here!" Nathan says chuckling.

Katsuki leaves me standing there to instead stand in front of him.

"Wanna say that again?" He says to him clearly grabbing his clothes and Nathan just laughs. Katsuki then punches his jaw which causes Nathan to be pushed back, far away from him. "I think it's best that you leave." He says, clearly in pain in his hand.
