Two

Someone died.

In front of Chiyo's eyes.

"What… no—"

It wasn't him who killed him, no! It wasn't him…

'It was you.'

Chiyo stilled against the wall was stunned, but he suddenly heard sirens, making him get up from the floor holding his stomach in pain.

He didn't know what to do… but he didn't want to involve his mom in this situation; neither did he.

As he started to walk with a limp he decided to check on the situation from outside through another window. From his peripheral view he could see the body laying on the ground, but he avoided it. Checking around the area he saw people injured, crying, police were also there but no heroes.

"I better start running…"

Why was he running away as if he was the villain?

He doesn't know.

Why was he scared that someone would catch him?

He didn't know, but he didn't want to know.

———

While Chiyo made his escape, people were horrified at the situation. Citizens had actually died in the accident but the villain had also died.

"On a building full of 500 workers, only 78 made it out alive, and 42 were injured. It is unbelievable as this just happened 30 minutes ago, why is your take on this Jake?" A female reporter asked her partner.

"I mean, as you just said, it is unbelievable! The heroes were nowhere to be found and people were actually killed, which I pay my most respect to all those mourning their deaths." Both reports bowed down.

The whole City of Musutafu was in panic.

Who killed the villain?

Was it an accident?

Why did many people die?

Some had their hopes that a hero had killed the villain while others hated that idea.

A boy with black and white hair on the bottom back of his hair had stumbled upon a tiny alley, taking a rest. In exhaustion the boy sighed.

"It hurts…" Chiyo said quietly, hissing at the pain.

When suddenly he had the urge to vomit,

"Pfftm, BLERGH…" the new quirks had taken a toll on the young boy.

He needed to go back home but he had visible injuries in his face and arms, but he wasn't about to show up in front of his mom like this.

"..my phone?"

Looking through his back pocket, he didn't find his phone.

"What do I do know?"

After thinking for a while he decided to just come up with the best excuse he could get, and hope for the best.

Walking discreetly from people's view wasn't an easy task, especially after the accident was all over the news; but easily jumping through the back of the houses and hopping to another saved him. Looking around he was just 3 minutes away from home, but to his side Mr. Abiko slept on the outdoor chair.

"Wait…"

Chiyo tiptoed his way to Mr. Abiko's house, and quickly got to the stairs shaking the poor old man aggressively.

"Mr. Abiko!" Chiyo whispered.

Any would have woken up from that harsh shaking, but Mr. Abiko woke up gasping for air and ready to kick some butts.

"Get off from— Chiyo?! What happened to you? You hav—" Chiyo quickly placed his hands over Mr.Abiko's mouth, attempting to quiet him down.

"Mr. Abiko I–uuh need to use the bathroo— OW!" Mr. Abiko poked at the side of Chiyo's stomach, grunting in pain.

"PLEASE STO–uuuuh I mean let's get in Mr. Abiko!" Chiyo was about to scream when he noticed a neighbor coming out of their house, grabbing Mr. Abiko and pulling him inside the house. He was lucky that it was getting dark outside.

"Mr. Abiko I don't have time to explain but, please call my mom and tell her that umm you need my help and my phone fell down in the sewer! Please!" Chiyo begged, even bowing all the way down to the floor; crying.

"…kid, you need to go to the clinic." Mr. Abiko sighed.

Chiyo sniffed,

"I–I can't… sorry…"

Mr. Abiko had a pitiful look on his face, Ardennes at the appearance of the kid.

"Fine! I'll make you some pills. I swear kids these days don't listen to their elders."

Chiyo got up from the floor and gloomy walked to the sofa of the living room, while Mr. Abiko brought a bunch of empty pills to the living table.

They sat down in silence as Mr. Abiko filled the pills with powder that came out from his fingers, each finger had a different type for different injuries.

"This one is for internal injuries, that one for the bruises, and you better take this pill for nausea! Hey kid!"

Chiyo stared at the ground, feeling the guilt again.

"…okay… but can you ca—"

"Yeah I'll call your mom, kid! And I won't tell her about your injuries, jeez! Making me do all the work!"

As the old man stomped his way to the telephone, Chiyo stared at him, glad that he wasn't treating him differently.

But why would he even treat him differently?

There was no reason for that, as he didn't do anything wrong, right?

"Message from your mom, 'Why did you throw your phone?! I swear I'm to ground you when I come back, and you better eat well eh?' She had to go earlier."

"Thank you…"

Chiyo quietly took all the pills in silence, each one of them making the pain and injuries go away. Gulping them all at once.

"…I'll go for today, sorry for bothering you, Mr. Abiko!" Chiyo once again bowed.

"You didn't even stay here for 10 minutes?!"

Before he could listen to Mr. Abiko's rambling, he ran to his house, hoping that he could say goodbye to his mom. But it was too late, as the whole house was in silence and dinner had been left for him at the table. Not bothering to take a bite and saving it for tomorrow's breakfast he decided to take a shower and clean all the dirt away.

Sitting against the bath full of water, he started to cry.

Remembering the events that had just happened a few hours ago, his hand trembling; hearing the shatter of the window and the crushing of the bones.

"I-it wasn't my fault…. I didn't do it… I didn't mean too—" he choked on his tears, trying to soothe himself.

'What!? He deserved it. He was killing citizens AND was trying to kill us for fucks sake!'

When a thought suddenly popped on his mind, he gasped;

"They w-won't find me right? I won't go to jail? They—they're not checking the cameras right?" Chiyo was in full panic.

Quickly getting out of the bathtub and changing his clothes, running to his room and turning on his computer.

'Musutafu City Telerportation Villain'

Searching for the thousands of articles that had come out and reported the situation, scrolling and hoping to not find what he was trying to find.

"Who was— no, the heroes are— no–" he was starting to feel relieved after seeing no signs of suspects, but an article finally caught his eye.

"The police found out that the security cameras, for some reason, were not functioning and did not capture any footage. It seems as if the villains had infiltrated with the cameras beforehand, making it difficult to find evidence— YES!"

He could live a peaceful life!

There was nothing more to worry about!

But that excitement faded away quickly.

Even if they didn't know who it was, Chiyo knew. He knew who had killed and how; having to live with the guilt for the rest of his life.

He sighed, turning off the computer.

"…let's not think about it anymore."

But even if he wanted to forget it, his body still trembled as he walked downstairs to the living room.

Side glancing at the TV, he decided to turn it on.

A woman's reporter was shown on the screen and surprise–surprise! The headline talked about the accident.

"It had been confirmed that the villain who attacked the building was a 30 year old man, named Yamato Tanaka, he had the ability to teleport to a set location in his mind. As one of the top heroes explained that the reason why the villain didn't teleport throughout the building, and instead ran, was because he didn't know his destination or didn't know where to go exactly."

When an image of the villain was shown on screen, Chiyo looked away.

"This accident causes a great amount of casualties for the citizens and buildings. It will truly be remembered in our history. As I, and the citizens, wish to know more of the situation, we will be going to live to the heroes."

The camera switched to a conference room full of reporters and flashing cameras filling up the view, and at the table sat the top heroes.

"Endeavor? Jeanist? …All Might?" Chiyo feared for his life, praying that they didn't find anything.

"As everyone would like to know… what exactly happened?" One of the reporters said, obviously not adoring the heroes as everyone else did.

"All we know, as we have discussed with the detectives and police, was that the villain had suddenly teleported to the building and started to attack the citizens randomly. But as of now we don't know why it was that he attacked, and upon our arrival the villain had died." Jeanist said.

Another reporter raised their hand,

"Who killed the villain? Was it a hero?"

"Huh?! You think a hero would kill a weak maggot?!" Endeavor stood up and screamed.

"Calm down!" All Might said with a smile.

"…so it wasn't?"

All Might decided to answer the question.

"We are not entirely sure. We've checked the cameras inside the building and found out that the footage was distorted at the moment of the scene, and we were unable to make out anything of it."

"S—"

Chiyo turned off the TV.

Without anything to say, he walked in distraught back to his room.

That night, he would dream of the man's death a thousand times.
