Chapter One: Death

I open the book to chapter one and am absorbed, my body and soul taken into the book.

I open my eyes in a kingdom of death and bloodshed, blood flowing like a river and dead bodies piling up. I turn around to see a woman with glowing green daggers and a ninja suit on. The woman lunges at me and my body moves on its own, blocking the attack with the swords I never knew I had. My mouth works on its own "Why did you betray me! Letra!"

The woman backs away and says "Because I had to, to protect everyone else."

I shout "WHAT ARE YOU IMPLYING?"

She says calmly "Everyone has decided you are a threat that needs to be eliminated." She pauses before starting again, accentuating every word "Because. You. Are. A. Monster."

My soul detaches from my body and I am able to the heart broken look on my face, wait, that isn't me, I don't have brown hair and reddish yellow eyes.

The man kneels and says "The death and bloodshed was due to that cult, you remember right? So why… Why am I the monster?"

The woman says "The king says you were the cause of the cults creation, because you were kind and let that man go, you caused the destruction of the kingdom, and probably the whole empire."

The man drops his sword and says "Letra, I guess this is goodbye."

Letra seems to notice what he is doing and says "Seems like your taking everyone with you."

She runs up and hugs him, both of their energies becoming wild and untamed…

A massive explosion occurs and decimates everything as far as the eye can see. The ocean behind me dried up, the land in front of me completely flat and black, the beautiful mountains that seemed like they came out of a picture gone, replaced by nothing but air.

I start to wonder why I am still here when the voice says "This is my past, this world is the original cultivation world. I decimated everything because this world was gone the moment my love turned against me. Her love for me still as strong as before, perhaps stronger when we detonated together."

The scene doesn't change but the speed changes. The voice says "I spent 8 billion years waiting for the world to reform. I gave myself the task of building the perfect kingdom, one without bloodshed and death, but mans greed knew no bounds."

The ground repairs and becomes a lush plains with beautiful tree and flowers near. A town slowly rises from the middle of the plains, though no one cut wood or collected anything. The voice says "We created this town out of our power, the almighty Tranquility. I had managed to find Letra's soul and give her a body, we managed to live many years in peace."

I vision zooms in on a large house in the center of the empty town. The Man and Letra sat their drinking tea and doing things happily.

The voice says "Then the gods came, and ruined most everything."

Golden lights rained down from the heavens, bathing everything in a pale golden light. Men and women came down from the golden lights and begin chopping trees and destroying the landscape.

The voice says "I began to get upset, the perfect world I had created was being turned to ruin by these celestials."

I watch as time speeds up again and slowly the mountain began to disappear, and a massive castle was being risen not far.

V says "I had gotten tired of them destroying this world so I decided to pay them a visit."

I watch as time slows down drastically, returning to normal quickly. I watch as the man slams his hands on the table while saying "I am tired of them destroying the world I created. I am going to go talk with them." The man takes a deep breath and continues, though much calmer now "I will get then to stop destroying the land."

Letra nods and waves him off with a smile. He runs around grabbing his incredibly well kept sword, which surprised me as the sword looked even better than HB, and he was supposed to be peaceful… He gives Letra a quick peck on the cheek before running out the door. Once he exits the town gate he blasts off at breakneck speeds, he is at least 20 times as fast as me…

He reaches the massive castle within 5 minutes, he slows down and jogs up to the gate. He tries to push it open gently but it doesn't budge. He adds more and more force until a loud cracking noise sounds and the gate opens, albeit slowly.

He enters and see's a bunch of celestials staring at him with shock, the average looking mortal breaking a formation that the Creator himself created, was a feat worthy of mention, and having a statue that reached the sky built in his honor…

He makes his way to the castles entrance, upon reaching it he knocks.

He waits for about 20 seconds before the massive door opens, revealing a lavish entryway that is connected to another pair of equally large doors. I enter the entryway without a word and walk up to the next big doors. The two guys in armor snickering at me, probably thinking I won't be able to open it. The man pushes the door wide open and walks right on through, throughly shocking the two guards and the people eating within. A man with white hair stands and bellows at him "WHY ARE YOU HERE?"

The man (Our man guy) walks forwards and says "I would like you to stop destroying the landscape, it is ruining my view."

The king looking guy stares at me and starts laughing, only stopping after a minute, then says "Why would I do that? Puny little village peasant."

Apparently, there was one thing the man hated more than betrayal… Being Underestimated.

The mans face scrunches in displeasure before turning into a look of rage. A pitch black aura of killing intent erupts from the man, knocking out everyone but the king. The king says "It appears you have much power, but can you match this?"

The king erupts a large amount of Dragon Force, the man looks at him with pity before unleashing his Tranquility upon the king. The king becomes very, very pale and collapses. The man retracts his pressure and says "Will you stop the destruction of the landscape?"

The king nods and says politely, though laced with much fear "Yes my lord, at once."

The man turns around and leaves, quickly returning to his town. He enters his manor quietly and says gently "Letra, I have returned."

Letra walks up from around the corner of the kitchen, which is positioned to the left of the entrance. Letra says something but one word is blocked "*******, I am so glad you returned!"

She runs up and hugs up, but he pushes her away and says "It appears our calm life is gone, they are amassing an army and are destroying the land even more."

She becomes serious and says "The highest level?"

He says "Half step Dragon Force."

She says "How many are at this stage?"

He holds up one finger, and says "Pull out those daggers of yours! We are gonna go have us some fun!"

The man suddenly pales and stutters out "C-c-chaos?!"

Letra looks at him with concern and says "Please tell me there isn't a Chaos rank being there."

He nods and says "There is very much a Chaos rank being, one is at our door currently."

Knocking sounds resound within the house, the man takes a deep breath and opens the door.

An eight foot tall skeleton with a ragged black cloak and a worn looking scythe peers down at him, the sanguine red flames with golden edges intimidating him. The skeleton says in a raspy and dry voice "I am the Reaper, it is nice to meet you."

The man nods and says "Nice to meet you also, Mr.Reaper, but if I may ask, why are you here?"

The Reaper stares at him, the flames intensifying for a moment, before turning to normal. The Reaper says "I came because you are in trouble, my brother has decided to side with the Celestials and I sided with you. So I am going to make you into a invincible being, along with your wife, Letra."

The man nods gratefully and says "Thank you."

The Reapers voice booms, the raspy and dry sound gone "Then prepare yourselves!"

The Reaper waves his hand and they find themselves in a white walled room with two training dummies along with many different types of weapons along the left wall, and some weird tech system on the right. All the weapons that were once there turned into scythes, the training dummies became robotic and gave off a red light. Some words in the sky said "Reapers Training, requirements not met, please create a bloodbath to continue."

The ground began to quake and the walls expand and the area turns into a battlefield. A scythe appears in front of the man while a pair chain scythes appear in front of Letra. They both quickly grab their weapons, Letra seemingly becoming quickly accustomed to her weapon while the man has much trouble. A gigantic army appears and everyone seems to have Dragon Force as their energy rank. The man and Letra pale, before color returns to their faces, the army of what looks like 10 million Spartan Heavy Infantrymen, which according to the memories entering my head, are incredibly experienced and held of against an entire army for three days, while only having 300 soldiers, so 10 million with their already incredible strength enhanced by a huge margin, this is going to be an impossible fight. The man and Letra turn to each other and grin, they then rush forward and clash with their opponents. The man killing 2 every second despite his poor mastery over the scythe, while Letra kills 5 or six every second. Their mastery over their weapons increasing slightly with every person they killed, each Spartan holding up a good defense but still getting killed. (This is to show that no matter how skilled you are, in front of beings with Tranquility you are nothing, Dragon Force improves your physical ability dramatically, and every tiny bit you put into your flesh improves it further, but Tranquility is achieving a balance between your mind, body and soul.)

By the time 5 million had fallen, the mans mastery over the scythe was incredible, now dispatching hundreds of enemy's every second. Letra has turned into a god of the Chain Scythe, she managed to figure out how to increase the length and width of the chain, and detach the Chain Scythes allowing the two now free chains to be used as well.

I take my eyes off of them for a moment and everything freezes, it appears that stuff only happens when I become one of them or if I stare at them. I look at the bodies, limbs, and organs strewn everywhere, blood truly becoming a river, dyeing the grass, rocks, and everything else a bloody red. I throw up a bit from the scene, as I have never seen anything as gruesome as this, even Queora's battle field wasn't as bad.

I look back after spending an entire hour recovering from the sight. I focus on the man and time resumes, black light envelops his scythe and he swings, killing thousands in a few seconds.

1 hour later…

All I see are two panting people standing in the midst of a river of blood, guts, and limbs. Letra seems to have stepped on someones brain while the man accidentally stepped on someones liver, causing stomach fluids to shoot everywhere, causing a small area to have a yellowish tint before the river of blood sweeps it away.

Words appear in the sky "You have successfully shown you have no qualms about death, as Reapers in Training, please learn to keep a balance between the Yin and Yang, or Life and Death. Your training will begin after you rest and recuperate fully."

The ground absorbed all the blood, guts, and other things. The room, which I have come to call the Training Hall, turns into a comfortable looking room with a large bed in the middle. A machine blinks and says "Food is Ready" in flashing green lights.

The books suddenly ejects me and I land on my rump. The voice says "That is the beginning of my journey, please continue reading to learn how to train, Chosen One."

I mutter "Chosen One?"

I feel a wave, no, a tidal wave of tiredness come over me. I walk slowly over to the bed and throw myself onto it, falling asleep quickly…
