Chapter 2

The doors rattled a bit, she worried if the scumbag might end up breaking them.

"Hold your horses, I'm coming"

Sam swung off the stool sliding to the door before Keira could protest, she let the big guy in, and a load of snow.

He shut the doors and the cold air subsided, Sam hugged her arms, facing Keira, her eyes crinkled when she met the daggers she sent to her.

He hung his black cost on a rack, the men's wear rack so melted snow would be dripping all over them in no time.

He wore a navy blue beanie, frock, denim, and huge winter boots to his style.

The dry look on his face when he surveyed the store said he wasn't impressed, she let out a gruff sound that went noticed and those pair of grey eyes met hers.

Oh, a handsome fellow.

"Any problem, miss?"

"You're welcome" Sam singsonged, making googly eyes simultaneously, she pulled out a stool, he sat back.

"Are you a paying customer?"

She asked and he snorted. Sam turned to Keira and mouthed 'hotshot' Keira shook her head.

"Can I get you anything?" She prodded dusting ice crystals off his set shoulders.

"I can make the best hot chocolate you'll ever have the pleasure of tasting it's from a machine I ordered with Keira's credit card, it's called the Coco Master 2.0"

Keira slapped her forehead at her sister chattering on like a bird and they have to talk about the part about the credit card.

"Are you the coffee type?" She gasped.

"Hot chocolate will do" He replied grinning at the bubbly lady, her expressions were hysterical"l.

Sam beamed at him and walked past Keira pumping her fist, she mouthed 'nailed it' and moved on.

For the hundredth time, she gave her head a little shake and kept scribbling on her electronic notebook, her heart pumped faster when he stood up moving around the store to have a better look at the supplies.

He stopped in front of a miniature Santa Claus figure and flipped the end of the hat to the other side and continued.

Her hand clenched on the pen so hard that it might snap in half, watching him make sure he didn't shoplift. She scoffed, it wasn't any of her business unless he wanted something.

She was worrying too much, she looked down frowning at the absurdity she wrote, it made more sense than her worries trying to cling to rationale.

"Boo"

She winced at the rich voice startling her, staring ng right at his face, handsome? He was drop-dead gorgeous with his black hair tumbling down his hat, thick, well-curved eyebrows, narrow, pointed nose, and your lips, the four o'clock shadow could use a shave.

She was on a high stool yet he was taller when he settled down on the one across from her.

"Just making sure you were paying attention." He uttered, she gave out a quick laugh and smiled hysterically, anxious.

"Excuse me, do you need anything?"
