Chapter 7: The Youngling Kobold

[A/N: Note that school has begun once again for me, making it to where I don't have much time to write chapters for any of my stories]

Suddenly a strange red light washed over the youngling before I felt a link form between ourselves.

I could feel its emotions and found that it was completely loyal to me, which doesn't make sense seeing as I just slaughtered its family.

I found that for some reason, I could also see its full status!

Looking through all of the class options available to the Young Kobold, I eventually decided on the Kobold Cleric Class since it's related to his bloodline, perhaps when he becomes a higher level then he would be able to awaken his draconic bloodline?

Either way, the [Kobold Cleric] class seemed to be the best path to choose so far, plus he would also gain access to healing spells which would greatly help in case either of us got heavily injured.

After some more thinking, I chose the class.

Looking over at the Young Kobold I noticed that it seemed to be trying to comprehend what just happened with confusion still present within its eyes.

"Come, I need to take care of a Goblin Den and would prefer to end them before the day ends, we could also start getting you some levels," I told the Kobold who appeared to only understand my intentions.

"Right...I have to teach you Common as well..." I muttered with annoyance before pulling the young Kobold along with me.

As we traveled to the area where the Goblins were spotted I taught the Goblin some small skills like how to track down animals and monsters via footprints, smell, broken branches, and more.

These weren't actual skills that would be listed in the System, but they would still be useful skills to have.

I even gained a new occupation from this.

Just a simple occupation that would help me teach the Kobold who has yet to be named.

Soon enough, however, we found the Goblin den where I began teaching the Young Kobold how to fight, and not only did his racial level increase to level 4 and his class to level 2, but I hit level 9 gaining me 5 more free attribute points that I could allocate at my convenience.

Which, I put into dexterity, not only increasing my physical speed and reaction speed but improve my control over my own body.

Before long, all the Goblins were exterminated, which also helped the Kobold gain another level in its class.

Now then, it's time to head back to Stormhold and turn in the quests.
