Chapter 60: Oh, I'm Hungry

All Jackson was thinking about as he finished up for the day was that it was cold as crap out. He adjusted his winter gear to cover as much skin as he could, but the chill had already worked its way deep into his bones. He was sliding his phone back in his pocket when Murphy sided up next to him.

"You keep looking at that damn thing like it holds the secrets to the universe."

Murphy rolled his eyes, "That all you got?"

"Fuck you."

"That's more like it," he said with a smile. "Seriously, though, what's up with the phone?"

Jackson sighed and watched his breath form a vapor in the air. "Just waiting to hear from someone."

"Tell Red I said hey."

Jackson wanted to wipe the shit-eating grin off Murphy's face. "Why do you call her that?"

"It's actually really complicated. You see, she has red hair, so I call her Red," Murphy told him and then busted up laughing.
