"Fuck it," Wes said under his breath as he picked up his phone.  The conversation he'd had with Josh had been haunting him the past week, and it was driving him crazy.  If there was something wrong with Hailey, he needed to make sure she was okay.  He needed her to know that he was there.  That's what he was telling himself anyway.


As the phone rang and rang and rang, he thought he was going to get off easy.  This worked out better for him.  He could just leave a message and leave the ball in her court.  When the phone connected, he was only half paying attention since he knew he'd be waiting for her voicemail greeting.
