“Jasmine, hurry. We will be late.” Lily knocked on the washroom’s door where Jasmine was in.


“I cannot stop my tears, Lily.” Jasmine opened the door. “What to do now.” She tried to wipe her tears away.


“So what? He scolds you. Not a big deal. It happens. Let us go now.” Lily said so, trying to make the situation normal and avoid looking at Jasmine’s mixed-up face with melted mascara.


“But I look like a clown, and my voice sounds ridiculous.” Jasmine went on, “with the makeup I am wearing, it is even worse. I feel sorry for myself.” Then she placed her face on Lily’s shoulder and kept crying. 


“God Jasmine, please hold yourself up. If we show up late, he will get furious. He does not sound friendly at all. Come on, let us go.” Lily wiped Jasmine’s tears away with a tissue, and she tried to fix Jasmine’s makeup. “See, you look perfect. Let’s go.” Lily said.
