Jessie bit down on her bottom lip. "This morning," she sighed, "I walked into the living room and noticed the wind had blown my front door wide open, and there was snow in my entryway."
"Nah, that front door of yours is much too heavy for the wind to blow it open. Did you lock it last night and double-check it before going to bed?"
"I did. Twice. The same thing with the back door." She took a breath. "When I was having the remodel done, the contractor wanted me to buy a new front door but I refused because it holds a lot of memories. I should have gotten a bolt for it, but that didn't happen. I called a locksmith this morning to change the lock, figuring it was faulty."
"Yeah?"
