Chapter 12 - Family Dinner

Because they are programmed to be as efficient as possible in aiding the agents to whom they are assigned.

Red only stayed in the dungeon simulator for 8 hours of training.

But it felt like 8 weeks for him inside the dungeon simulator.

This feature is not available in his training room.

The original time ratio is one-to-one. So one hour of real-time is comparable to two hours of dungeon simulation.

As a result, ASC has already upgraded the time ratio to best serve its agent.

When Red exited the simulation, he paused to reflect.

"That was risky; I got caught up in the simulation and convinced myself it was genuine." Red can't help but chastise himself for being careless.

"Even though it was risky, I needed to practice my body combat skills," Red told himself.

The phone rings.

Red receives a message from his brother Green informing him that dinner is ready and that he should come to the dining room.

Red sent his brother a quick message in response.

"Coming," Red said.

When Red arrived in the dining hall, he was not shocked to see the entire family, including Louis, already present.

Red can assist by staring at Louis for a few seconds before returning to his customary place.

When he sat down, he noticed the food on the table, which reminded him that it had been 8 weeks since he had eaten properly.

"Eight weeks? "The dungeon simulator, which had been tampered with by the help system, caused me to lose my sense of time," Red thought to himself.

Red was contemplating the plans he needed to make in the next days to complete his missions.

"Why do I find myself in this situation?" Red can't help but be concerned about his condition.

"Are you Brother Red?" Green inquired of his sibling after noticing it staring at the air while everyone else was eating.

"Yes, I'm sorry, I was lost in my thoughts," Red admitted with a smile.

"Red, could you tell me what you're thinking?" Victor inquired.

Victor is curious as to what Red thought about his marriage, the encounter with the dark forest, or his recent visit to the dungeon simulator.

"Oh! It had something to do with the dungeon simulator. "I tried it earlier and I have a query about it," Red explained.

"Dungeon sim?" When my brother begins to enjoy it. "Before he avoids it as much as he can" Grey is astounded by Red's change since the incident.

"Dungeon sim?" "I thought you despised it?" Marcus inquired of his son.

"I despise it?" It was truly enjoyable. "Except for the fact that you can feel the pain because you are injured, everything was fine," Red stated.

"Fun? "You're insane, brother. What pain settings did you use before using the dungeon simulator?" Green inquired, his face concerned.

"Do you have pain settings?" That was new to me. I'm not sure, but a small cut should not hurt that much, yet in the dungeon simulator, it was probably ten times as agonizing." With a smirk on his face, Red said.

"Wait a minute! "How did you manage to stay in the dungeon simulator?" Christine inquires of her son, concerned.

"Mother, don't worry, it was only 2 hours in actuality," Red responded calmly.

"How long did you stay in the dungeon simulator world, not the time it took to convert to reality?" Marcus inquired, frowning, as he inquired of his impulsive son Red.

"I'm not sure about the conversion rate. Approximately 8 weeks. At the time, I thought I was a soldier. "Was it a natural occurrence, Grandpa, or was it man-made?" Red inquired.

"It was modeled on a real battle from the conflict 70 years ago," Victor explained.

"Oh! So you're the Combat Mage who led the fleet 21?" With a gleam in his eye, Red inquired.

"How did you find out?" During the conflict, just a few people knew his real name. Wait! Except you sparred with me in dungeon simulator!" With an astonished expression on his face, Victor said.

"Hehe. I tried, but I failed miserably. At first, I was confused as to why that person resembled you. So request sparring. Most of the time, I fail. But I'm learning a lot. "Grandpa, may I also be a combat mage?" Red inquired.

Victor was taken aback since he never expected his grandson Red to be able to meet himself in the dungeon simulator that he created for all of his children and grandchildren.

"I'm sure it had you in mind. However, the first train will be with the dungeon simulator. If you made a bet with my younger self, you'd win. We've begun your specialized instruction." With a smile on his face, Victor said.

"It's risky, Father. It does not sit well with me." Marcus can't help but disagree.

"Vincent, please share the dungeon simulator report with everyone." Vincent has requested Victor.

"Yes Sir," Vincent answered calmly as he showed the Red report to everyone.
