He Has Appeared

An expressionless Irene was led to the wedding hall by the maids.

She wore a white veil, and the solemn church was filled with royal nobles.

Everyone had smiles on their faces. Irene could not tell whether they were sincere or fake.

The children of the choir stood next to the priest and sang hymns. The statue of Jesus hanging on the wall was also one of the witnesses of the wedding. However, Irene felt suffocated by the sculpture above the church.

Looking at Rhett, who was not far away in a white suit smiling gently, only Irene knew what kind of evil heart was hidden behind that smile.

Both Rhett and Irene had their own thoughts. Even with the blessing of the priest and Jesus being a witness, such a marriage would not necessarily be happy.

Irene listened to the blessing of the priest to the two of them in a daze.

"I do." Rhett did not hear Irene's answer and turned his head to look. "Darling, it's your turn to say 'I do'."
