Picking The Lock

Irene had been worried about the whereabouts of the letter, but Ronald had been guarding her, so she could not find a chance to slip away.

Just as she was about to go to the bathroom, Irene heard the sound of the door opening. She immediately opened the bathroom door and tried to follow him out, but then she saw that Ronald was about to close the door. She thought to herself, 'This is not good.'

She quickened her steps and ran to the door, but she was still a step too late. The door had already been closed by Ronald.

Irene reacted quickly and pulled the door handle, but she could clearly hear the sound of the lock. "Ronald! Ronald, what are you doing! Let me out!"

She had already said that she did not want to escape, so why did Ronald still lock her in the room?

The sound of Ronald's leather shoes landing on the floor could be heard from outside, and the sound of familiar footsteps pricked Irene's heart.
