Chapter 12

"Sya!" Emma widened her beautiful eyes. "Do you think this is a good thing? Do you know how humiliating I am today?"

Tasya curled her lips, "What is this? You have to understand that you are Archie Grafton's wife now. A rich life is waving at you, and you have stepped onto the path of the upper class. You are not at a disadvantage, so why are you feeling wronged?"

"Sya, I don't love him. I shouldn't have married him." Emma did not expect her good friend's reaction to be like this. She was stunned.

"Is love that important? Do you know that couples nowadays have to add a wedding house and a new car to their marriage? Actually, all women want to marry rich people. And you easily marry the richest man. This is something that other people can't even envy. Why are you frowning?" Tasya immediately did the ideological education work for her.

"To me, Archie is a very scary person. When I get along with this kind of person, even for a minute, I will feel uneasy." Emma felt that Tasya had never seen Archie before, so she thought that it was fine as long as she had money.

Tasya suddenly squeezed to her side and tore off the facial mask on her face. She slapped hard and said with a smile, "Emma, look. You are now Mrs. Grafton. Help me. Tell Archie to let me work in the entertainment company when I am around, okay?"

"Sya, it's not that I don't want to help you. My relationship with Archie is very stiff now. I can't even talk to him." Emma originally thought that she could find a good friend to complain to, but she did not expect that her good friend would ask her for help. She was very troubled.

"Emma, just help me. Do you know how hard it is for me now? I work for more than ten hours a day, and I only earn less than 300 yuan a day." Tasya was bitterly asking for help but did not expect that her good friend would suddenly become Mrs. Grafton. How could she not treat her as a backer?

"Sya, I really can't help you now. I have to go back. I will look for you next time." Emma could not sit still anymore. She desperately wanted to escape from Archie Grafton's side but everyone around her treated her like a fool and advised her to treat Archie well.

What was wrong with this world? Could money really represent everything? It could buy love, buy people's hearts, and buy everything.

Emma went downstairs in a daze. When she saw driver still waiting by the roadside, she felt deeply sorry and quickly got into the car.

The car drove all the way back to the Grafton Family's Manor House.

Emma's whole body was like a string, taut.

The car stopped at the entrance of the hall. Emma hesitated for a moment but still pushed the door and got out of the car.

When the butler Uncle Suan saw her, he immediately went forward and said, "Young mistress, young master will wait for you on the second floor."

Emma froze and squeezed out a smile to reply. Then she slowly walked upstairs.

She had no way out, and no choice, except to marry him.

There were many rooms on the second floor. Emma did not know which room Archie was in, so she searched all the way.

In the last bedroom, she saw the man lying lazily on the sofa. He seemed to have fallen asleep.

Emma held her breath. She took a deep breath and stood at the door of the room, dumbfounded. She did not dare to step into the room.

She hesitated for a while, thinking that since Archie had fallen asleep, she should not disturb him. Otherwise, her crime could not be redeemed.

Just as she was about to turn around and leave, the man's cold voice came, "Why didn't you come in? Do you want me to invite you in?"

Emma was shocked. This man clearly had his eyes closed, but he actually knew that she was coming.

It was too scary.

"I thought you were asleep!" Emma lightly curled her lips.

The man slowly opened his dark eyes, his long and narrow eyes staring straight at the nervous and restless girl standing at the door.

"Did the people of Quinsley Family make things difficult for you?" The man lazily sat up with his hands behind his back. His eyes coldly swept across her tightly knitted brows as he asked.
