03 REIGN OF EMILIA- Mr Arrogant and Miss Royalty

I stand outside the hotel building, patiently waiting for James to arrive with Edwardo watching from afar. I stand humming an unknown tune still waiting patiently, even though James is half an hour late. That boy is never on time.

I hear a car honk and I look in the direction to see James standing by a black Mercedes, waving at me. I rush over to him and wrap my arms around him torso, squeezing as hard as I can.

"Wow Em, you miss me so much that you wanna squeeze the crap out of me? jee, I'm flattered." he teases.

"Shut up you big head. You did not visit Maldonia this year, remember." I hit his chest.

"But I literally called you everyday." he chuckles.

"You are right. Now I do not see to point in coming to see your annoying face." I giggle, giving him a light shove. Just when he was about to give a cocky reply, I heard whispering coming from his car.

"She's cute."

"Yeah, not to mention hot."

"Yeah. Smoking."

"You three shut up, she can hear you."

"Umm, am I forgetting something?." I asked, turning to James.

"Oh yeah I almost forgot. The guys wanted to meet you, so they decided to tag along." James says.

"Oh. In that case." I walk around to the passenger side and got in, immediately turning to face the four guys in the back seat, while James gets inside the driver's side and starts the engine.

"So guys, this is my bestfriend Emilia, Em these are the guys." James introduced.

"Hi, I'm Levie." the one behind the passenger's seat introduces. He is white skinned with black hair, hazel eyes, and gave off a friendly aura.

"The name is Michael." one in the middle says giving me a flirtatious smirk. He was dark skinned with black curls hanging down his forehead and dark brown eyes.

"Alec" This one who was in the middle as well was also dark skinned with curly black hair and light brown eyes. He gave me a warm smile.

"And I'm Noah" the one behind the driver's seat says, reaching out to shake my hand, smiling at me. He was the one they told to shut up, on the phone. He had tan skin, brown hair and hazel eyes. "I would kiss your hand, but my girlfriend is crazy." he chuckles.

I could not help but laugh. "No worries." I say. "Nice to meet you guys."

"You too." they reply.

"Hey where is that Ace guy?" I ask. "Ace is the guy that was cursing for James to get off the phone, right?"

"Oh Ace was busy so he couldn't make it" James says.

"Yeah, busy doing Britney." Alec says.

"Oh, well I certainly did not need to know that." I say, awkwardly clearing my throat then focusing my gaze on the road. The rest of the car ride was spent with Noah and Michael bickering about football.

A few minutes later, we arrive at a huge building that looked like a toy factory and got out of the car.

"Where are we?" I asked the guys.

"We're at a video Arcade." James replies.

"What is a video Arcade?"

"You mean you've never been to a video Arcade before?" Levie asked.

"I ugh" I hesitated. "We do not have Arcades where I am from." I say.

"Oh. Where are you from though?" Levie asks again.

"Ugh." I hesitated again. "From, uhm, ugh, Switzerland." I lie. Sort of, I mean, Maldonia is also in Europe.

"Oh that explains your accent." Noah says.

"Yeah, German." I smile.

"German? that's so coo-"

"Ofcourse there are video Arcades in Switzerland." Levie interrupts. I haven't even known him for an hour and I can already tell that he is the brainiac in the group.

"That is because I am from a very secluded part of Switzerland, called ugh Weggis." I lie again. I nearly blew my cover just now. Luckily there indeed was a secluded part of Switzerland called Weggis, incase he tried googling it.

"Oh Okay." Levie says.

Truth is, I did not know if there was a video Arcade in Maldonia, because I never left the palace long enough to find out, and

"Anyways. A video Arcade is simply a place where people go to play video games." James explained.

"Oh, that sounds fun." I smile. If only I knew how to play video games.

"Don't worry I'll teach you how to play." James says reading my mind.

"You mean she's never been to a video Arcade AND she's never played a video game before? Have you been living under a rock or something?" Noah exclaims I disbelief.

"It is not my fault, Weggis does not really have anything. " I say nervously looking at my feet.

"Nuh uh. Well it's a good thing you've met me. Come on, I've got a lot to show you after this." Noah says, taking my hand and leading me towards the entrance of the Arcade.

We spent the rest of the day driving around the city, shopping, riding around on rented bikes which James had to carry me on his bike since I did not know how to ride one. We were just generally having fun.

At around eight pm we all decided to go grab something to eat, so we stopped at a nearby diner called Biggy's. After the six of us grabbed a booth and ordered, Noah looked at me and said.

"So Emilia, James told us that you've transferred to Preston High, looks like we'll be seeing more of you then." he smiles.

"Which school did you attend, back in Switzerland?" Levie asked.

"Oh it was this high school called Zentral High, it was no big deal." I actually had a friend of a friend who went to that school, so yes, it does exist.

"Zentral High? Oh, I've never heard of it." Levie says.

"As I said before. It is a very secluded area. Anyways, what is Preston High like?" I curiously asked.

"Now, now Em, It wouldn't be fun if we told you what to expect now would it?" Noah gave me a wicked grin.

"Well that does not sound good." I say, my nervousness starting to bubble up again.

Back at the hotel, after being dropped of by James, I plopped down onto my comfortable bed immediately after entering my penthouse and saying goodnight to Edwardo.

A few minutes later, I decided to give Abigail a call.

"Hey, Hey. How was the tour? Do you like New York?" she immediately asks.

"Yes, I do like it here. I went to a video Arcade with James and some of his friends today." I say.

"That sounds quite fun. What is a video Arcade?" she ask. I could practically see her eyebrows arching in confusion inside my head.

"According to James, it is a place where people go to play video games." I explain.

"Really!?, I love video games! she exclaims. "Even tho I have never played one before." she says.

"They were surprised when I told them as well." I say.

"Hold on I am going to add James to the call." she says. A few moments later, I heard James' voice.

"Hey, girls. Em did you have fun today?" James says.

"I did indeed. Thank you again." I say.

"Sure"

"James, make sure to keep an eye on our baby, okay? Do not let her get in any trouble " Abigail says. Referring to me as their baby. When we were little, the three of us would always play house and James and Abigail would be the parents and I their baby.

"I promise I won't, I know how rude our baby can be." James chuckles, playing along.

"Okay Mom and dad, I hear you." I giggle.

"Okay, I will be right there." Abigail says to someone. "Guys, I have to go, but Em, let me know how school goes tomorrow, okay? Love you both." She says.

"Love you too." James and I both say before she hangs up.

Immediately afterwards, I heard shuffling coming from James' side of the phone.

"James?"

"Cut it out Ace, give it back." he complains.

"No" someone simply replies, causing James to start cursing again, but to no avail.

Moments later, I hear a different voice. Deep and Rough.

"So, you must be the infamous Emilia, who ruined guys night. " the voice says.

"I actually do not remember ruining a guys night, I just helped out my bestfriend before he died of boredom." I remarked

"Oh I see you've got quite the attitude miss Em". his voice was laced with sarcasm.

"Hold up, Only my friends get to call me Em." I say.

"Okay then. Em" he mocks.

"You are not my friend, I do not even know you." I say.

"Well then, I'm Ace King and you're Emilia. See? now we're friends." he says.

"I know your name, that does not make us friends." I say. Maybe I should just kill him- No.

"I'm hurt. Well what could I possibly do to earn miss royalty's friendship?" My heart stopped at what he called me.

"M-miss Royalty?" My heart stopped at the possibility that he might know my secret. Great, now I am going to have to go back home.

"Yeah, I think the name suits you." he says. I sigh in relief upon knowing it was just a nickname.

"Oh in that case, from now on, I am calling you mister arrogant." I say, sticking out my tongue, even though he couldn't see me.

For the next hour, Ace and I talked over the phone, until James started complaining that he wanted his phone back, so Ace took my number, and we talked some more, despite my first impression of him, he actually sounded like a nice guy. At around three thirty am, we both decided to call it a night after realizing that we have school the next morning, or rather today.

"Okay, so, I'll see you at school then?" he asked.

"Definitely, I cannot wait to actually meet the person on the other side of the phone." I smiled

"Me too. So goodnight then, or goodmorning or whatever." he says.

"Yeah, Good night Ace." I say and hung up.

I stare at the ceiling and blush before connecting my phone to it's charger, closing my eyes and eventually drifting off to sleep, with only one thought in mind.

Tomorrow or rather today, is the beginning of my first day of senior year.
