WEDNESDAY
"Today we will be working on Pop Arts. You can take a look at my example for ideas but you can also try to come up with something on your own." Mrs. Wesley, my art teacher says. "Any questions? None? great. I would advise you all to focus and try doing your best, your paintings are worth half of you final grade so it should be at least close to perfection. You may begin." She finishes.
From what I have seen and heard, Mrs. Wesley is not all bad. She is however serious about her work and does not take failing lightly.
I turn to my Canvas and begin painting. What I had in mind was to paint a picture of my mother during labour, giving birth to me. Uncle Hilton, who is the Duke of Maldonia and Abigail's father, was the one to show it to me. Stating that my father was the one who had taken the photo and my mother was too embarrassed to show it to me, for her face was too scrunched up, her hair and face damp with sweat while she desperately held onto my father's hand, which was the only part of him that could be seen in the photo. I had memorized the photo well enough to replicate it and decided to alter it for my Pop Art.
About 15 minutes into my painting, Mrs. Wesley appeared beside me. "Wow Emilia, you have quite the talent. Keep it up."
"Thanks miss." I say before she stalked off to look at everyone else's works.
"Well would you look at that." I hear the familiar voice and instantly feel like banging my head against the painting, but decided otherwise because, well, it is my painting. Anyways, the voice, ofcourse, belonged to Ace-hat. Yup, that is what I am calling him now.
"Isn't that Queen Isabella the second?" Levi asked.
"Yeah, I think it is." Hailey says.
My heart raced as I tried to come up with an excuse to why I was painting a picture of her during labour.
As you might have guessed. I have Art class with the whole group on Wednesdays.
"Ugh. Yeah, it is. I ugh, saw the actual picture on this website a while back. It had a bunch of stuff about the Maldonia's Royal Family".
lies.
"Oh, cool. what's it called?" asked Levie.
"Ugh, I really do not remember."
"Oh, too bad I guess." Levie says.
"Yeah, I guess." It was awkwardly silent for a moment as Levie bore hole in my forehead with his eyes. Until McKenna smoke.
"The Queen has been doing a pretty good job at hiding her children's identities. I heard it is really hard to find photos of them." she spoke.
"Really? I did not know that."
lies.
My mother had prevented our photos from popping up everywhere because she wanted her children to have privacy.
"Not even her daughter Amanda. You'd think for a teenage girl she would wanna sneak out and go to parties and stuff. The media has barely gotten a photo of her without a hat and sunglasses on, if they have, it's been buried deep in the media." Hailey said.
"She is pretty hot though, isn't she?" Michael buts in and I feel my cheeks tint.
"She is. Too bad she's probably stuck up." Ace-hat just has to ruin the moment.
"No I am- I mean. Why would you say that?" I nervously asked.
"You can tell by the looks of her. The way she walks, the way she talks. It screams arrogance." Ace says, and if looks could kill, he would be six feet under.
"She is Royalty, have you ever stopped to think that she was raised that way?" I ask.
"Em's right. I don't have to be royalty to know that being one isn't easy." Hailey says.
This girl just became my next best friend.
"Yeah, I mean. Having eyes on you everywhere you go. Having to live up to everyone's expectations? It actually sounds kinda hard." Hannah says.
"James, You're from Maldonia right? What's Princess Amanda like?" McKenna asks.
James hesitates for a few seconds as before answering:
"Ugh. Personally, I don't really know her, but according to what I've heard. She's pretty nice and definitely not stuck up." he says glancing at me for a mere second.
"Maybe she actually wishes she could be a normal teenager." Noah added. And they say he's the dumb one.
"Yeah. Rumor is, she's on vacation in Hawaii. Who knows, she'll probably disguise herself and live as a normal teenager during that time." Hannah says.
Little do they know.
"Anyways enough about Princess Amanda Hamilton. What do you guys wanna do today?" Hailey asked. "Boys included."
"The guys and I were going to hang out at Ace's and watch a movie." Alec says. "You guys can come if you want."
"Are you sure? we would not wanna ruin your guys night-." I say
"Again" Ace muttered and I give him a deadly glare.
"Ofcourse you girls can come. It would be fun." Noah says.
"Yeah. It's been a while since the gang had a movie night. Ace says. "It would be fun."
"You sure?" I ask.
"Actually no. You're not invited." Ace deadpans and I feel all the colour drain from my face.
"Jerk" I mutter.
"Mr. Rodriguez and friends. Would you like to share your conversation with the class?" Mrs. Wesley asks.
"It's fine Miss, we were just discussing our Art." Ace replies before turning to me.
"Relax princess, I was just kidding." he smirks, referringto what he said earlier about me not being invited.
Oh how much I wish I could bitch slap that devious smirk right off his stupid, fat headed face.
"Yay. The Chaos Crew is back!" Noah shouts, getting a glare from the teacher.
"Chaos. Crew?" I raise an eyebrow.
"Noah that's not a thing." Ace says.
"It is a thing." Noah replies
"It is not." Ace fire back.
"It is too"
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
"Is not"
"Is to-"
"Is fucking not Noah. Now say one more thing and my fist meets your face." Ace yells.
"Mr. Kingsman, Mr. Armond. Detention." Mrs. Wesley says, causing Ace to roll his eyes and focus on his painting, which was in a position I couldn't see.
Noah hiss at Ace before turning towards me and mouthing: "Is too" before focusing on his painting of a bomb going off, causing me to let put a slight chuckle before continuing as well.
