The Wicked Princess of France

The following day, Aubry awoke from his sleep and immediately departed from the Palace in Kufstein. He had seen many technological marvels during his visit to the Capital of Austria, and would remember this magnificent city until the day he died.

However, even though he had utterly failed to seduce Berengar, he had achieved the primary aim with his visit, and that was to buy arms and munitions from the Kingdom of Austria. Despite this success, he was bitter and depressed. Never in his life had he failed to ensnare the object of his affection until now, that is.

Having seen the way Berengar looked at him, the French Prince knew that there was no possibility that he could seduce the Austrian King. The disgust and revilement in Berengar's eyes when he gazed upon the effeminate prince would forever etch itself in the boy's mind.
