Dear Trinity, my love
If you're reading this, that means I'm no longer with you; I have passed on.
I know what you're thinking, please don't!! Bringing me back won't be the right choice, as I wouldn't return back completely.
I know how much losing me is hurting you, but believe me, nine months later, you will have you hands full, and you won't have much time to think about me; yes my love... you are pregnant with our daughter... Aquamarine. Though the signs won't show until a month later, you still need to take care of yourself.
There are a few important things I wanted to tell you...
Yes, I am, or rather was an oracle.
I know Ryphonsus is still alive, and it'll be easy for you to kill him, but watch out for his manipulative nature. He will try to get out of this by seeking your 'forgiveness'. Don't fall for that, as he'll strike you in the back.
Marcus is also out for blood. With his master gone, he will definitely come for all of you. Make sure you get him to swear on his soul that he will never attack you all. ON HIS SOUL. You must remember that, since no one knows his full name. (But you have seen that, haven't you?).
My love, you are the most amazing thing that happened to me. Growing up in a broken family, I never really knew what love was, until you walked into my life.
Our love surpassed all test of time in the short months we had... months! I can't believe it...
Remember when I used to tell you not to get to attached to someone, not even your parents... I had known that we wouldn't live together forever.
There are so many things I wanted to tell you... but it seems to me that I can already feel your grief... you are MY mate. You are strong. You are beautiful. You are amazing. You are everything any guy would want. You made me the luckiest dragon alive, by choosing me as your mate. I proudly called you MY mate. Mine.
I'm leaving you with a parting gift.. my scent. The soap I use, I'll leave a box. Whenever you miss me, just smell the seaweed soap, and you will feel me close to you.
I hope in the future, you and Emeralda can become good friends. She's lost everything as well... maybe, you two being friends will help you both recover from your loss and grief. While still on this, in case I cannot tell her, can you tell her that the reason Jack died is because she has someone out there for her... a mate, who is searching for her.
I wish you and our child all the best for the coming years.
Tell her about me. She will never get to see me, just like me. I never got to know aboutmy dad. No one was there to tell me about my father, but my baby is lucky; she'll have her mom, you.
Love,
Tyrone.
Trinity cluched the letter close to her heart, as tears rolled down her face. She slowly slide down and sat at the edge of the bath, still in her clothes.
After a long while of shedding tears, her mother had finally convinced her to take a bath, to freshen up, and she found this letter neatly placed on top of her soap. Beside this letter was a small box wrapped around in colorfull paper.
After reading the last love letter that her mate wrote for her, she picked up the box, slowly opened the wrapped paper, and took the soap out. She took a deep inhale, and held her breath until her lungs began to burn. She let out the breath as slowly as she possibly could, imagining her mate to be there with her.
"Trinity? You OK?" Dorin's voice jolted her back to reality.
"Yes mom, I'm fine," she managed to croak. She was glad she and her mother had gotten over all the misunderstanding they had. At least she will be able to talk to her if she needed to unwind.
She slowly removed her clothes and soaked into the hot water. She used the lavender soap, which was healing for her physically and mentally. And she didn't want to use the seaweed soap, as this was one of the last of Tyrone's gifts to her.
She stayed in the bath, eyes closed for half and hour, when there was another knock on the door. "Trinity? Are you OK?"
"Yes, I'm fine! Just leave me alone!"
"Actually, Martha sent me..."
"Stacey! Tell Martha I'm OK. I don't need a babysitter. Besides, she did predict this would happen, right?" Trinity burst out in anger, remembering how Martha had said that they wouldn't last. Different dragons don't last. Or something like that.
"Sorry," Stacey said slowly, as she hurriedly left the room. Trinity felt a little bad for lashing out on her friend, but she really wanted to be left alone.
After about an hour, Trinity walked down the stairs in a sweatpants and tee shirt, eyes red and swollen, with her hair all messed up. Everyone was sitting on the dining table, with no food. No one felt like eating.
It was then she noticed that there were many more dragons at their house, then her friends.
All were wrapped in bandages, with swollen face or limbs. Most were sitting or lying down, while the not so injured ones were standing in groups and chatting, or consoling someone.
As Trinity passed by them, some looked shocked, others looked at her in resentment and some even whispered amongst themselves... but one thing they all did... was bow slightly. Even the ones who seemed like they would pounce at her any chance they got. Was it out of fear? Or was it respect?
Dorin was the first one to spot her and came to her. They walked to a table where all her friends sat...all but two.
"We wanted to discuss the funeral of... " Martha started her sentence but clearly couldn't finish it. "...Ty and Jack!" Trinity said in a broken voice.
The other dragons had been cremated by the fire breathers, and the fallen knights were taken away by Taylor King. Only two lay on the carpet. Neither Emeralda nor Trinity could see them just burnt to ashes with the others who had come to see them die.
"How do you wanna say goodbye to them, Em?" Trinity's sudden question made the pale girl flinch.
"I...I... I don't know... what do you think?"
"Well, I was thinking..." Trinity looked out to her mango tree, "maybe we could lay them to rest under there! They'll be closer to us, and also by the lake."
"I agree. Jack always wanted to be near water. He'll love this idea."
Dorin and her doctor friend wrapped them up like a mummy, placing herbs and oils to prevent any odor, and placed them in another room.
"Patrick calls a few hours ago, and asked about everyone," Dorin said to Trinity. "I told him about Tyrone and Jack, and he wants to talk to you!"
"I don't know mom... "
"I won't force you. You can talk when you feel like talking."
"Mom, there's something I need to talk to you about! I don't know how..."
"Honey, you can tell me anything. I promise to listen."
"I might be... you know... I think I might be..." Trinity was at a dilemma. If she tells her mother about her pregnancy, she would definitely get support as this child would be next in line to the most powerful witch bloodline; but she might also discourage her from fighting the Dragon Lord.
"Rin, you can tell me anything." Dorin said, holding her daughters' hand tightly.
"Mom, I think I might be pregnant."
