The sudden vibration from my nightstand wakes me up as I was about to doze off, reaching for it my blurred vision doesn't read the name "hello?" I answer and no one replies, waking up I look at my phone screen. All the air gets sucked out my lungs when I see his name, I am strong I breathe "Leo?"
"Hi, Frankie" his voice melts me "how are you?" I can't answer, answering would be dumb "I'm sorry I missed your calls"
"It's... it's fine"
"Can I see you?" Yes, yes god, please
"L-Leo" my throat is dry as I whisper "we shouldn't..."
"I want to see you" he demands and I'm weakened "tonight" "Okay" I give in
"I'll be waiting." He hangs up and I sit up, I can't do this I swore.
Getting out of bed I put on jeans and shoes, sneaking by Marlon as I grab my keys I catch a cab outside to his house.
"You don't have to do this Frankie" I stand outside the gate looking in, I don't have to do this but I need to see him, one last time then I'll really let him go.
