As tough as it may sound, Hope, a strong woman born with the urge to stand at the top finds herself sitting at the highest spot in the pack as an alpha. Along side with her beta and closest friend Harley, she endures the worst but accidentally flickers a fire that wasn't there with Harley.

"So even if he decided he wouldn't divorce her, would you still be unwilling to marry me?" Kelvin asked as he glanced towards Emily who sighed out and bit onto her lower lip.


"Probably." She simply said with a small shrug of her shoulders as she patted her feet against the water. "I really love him."


"Why?" Kelvin just had to ask, wondering if the beta had ever really been the man everyone had seen him to be, also thinking he might have been secretly courting Emily behind everyone's back, after all, he's just a better and Emily's father was about to retire soon anyway. It only makes perfect sense that he would want to become alpha.


"Nothing really." She smiled out as she glanced at him, as always, enjoying it when she had to talk about Jason to other people. "He's always been really nice to me and I just loved the thought of it. He always smiled and always tried to protect me and make sure I'm okay. I think I just fell in love with that about him."
