Flashback - New Friend

Putri watched her classmate start to leave the classroom. She realized that only Fia, Ria, and Nada were left.

Looks like this is the right time to start talking to them again. Perhaps an apology from Putri will unite their friendship. After three months of the incident.

Putri dared to stand up and approach her friends.

"Hi ..."

Putri greeted with an unsure tone of voice. Fia looked at Putri in wonder. While Nada nudged Ria, realizing that there were only four of them in the classroom.

No one answered Putri's greeting. It seemed they had forgotten that there was Putri in the class. Or they are pretending to ignore her, thinking of her as just a shadow.

"Guys, can we talk? It's been a long time, haven't we talked, right?" asked Putri very politely.

"What do you want to talk about, Putri?" Fia asked back.

Putri's footsteps looked cautious and approach the three people who were still considered her best friends.

Then Putri also had to make sure their distance was not too far so that her words were easy to hear.

"How are you guys?" Putri asked with a small smile, and actually, she was confused about what to ask.

"Putri? If you want to know about our news. You already know what the answer is." Fia said flatly. Putri still felt anger in her friend's words.

"You know exactly. What happened with us. After that incident wasn't just one class but this one school that started to drift away from us.." Nada dared to speak. While Ria just looked at her with a worried face.

"I'm sorry... I know you must be struggling with the current situation." Putri did not dare to look at the faces of her friends. She preferred to look at the classroom floor.

"We will move. me, Nada and Ria." Cut Fia said.

Putri was surprised and looked at Fia's serious face.

"Where are you guys going, we're going to have an exam soon, and we're going to grade 11?" asked Putri worriedly.

"The three of us agreed to transfer to the same school after the exams," Nada said.

"Yes, she's right. After we finished this exam, we will move to another school." Ria explained. Make Putri feels sad.

But.....

Maybe Putri can join with her friends. She can also move to the same school.

"Ehh, can I come with you guys? We can go to the same school, isn't that fun?" ask Putri. But her words were cut off by Fia.

"Sorry. But you have to stay here. We want to start all over again from scratch."

"Since that incident, a lot of things have changed. We thought a lot about finding the best solution..." Fia's words stopped when she walked over to pick up her bag.

"It's better for now if we are not related or close to you, Putri." Said Nada, who also started to take her bag.

"I hope you guys can be better and understand. We made the decision not without reason. Even our parents were also very supportive of changing schools." Fia continued her conversation. Seen Ria took her bag.

"But we can still fix everything, and I'm sure we can be the same as before ..." Putri's face looks worried.

"Nothing will ever be the same, Putri. All the bad things we've done, it's all on your suggestions and ideas. If we didn't follow all your behavior, the Mega incident wouldn't have happened." Nada's voice trembled with anger.

"That's enough, Nad. The point is we can't be friends anymore. I hope you understand, Putri." Fia started walking out of the classroom, followed by Nada and Fia.

Putri looked sadly at her three friends who just left. She clenched her two hands, still silently glued to her classroom. Putri took out her cellphone from her pocket and started calling someone.

"Bimo, you can go first. Today I have plans to go with a friend. Tell Wira if he asks about me. Rian, isn't there either? Yes, thank you." Putri hung up the phone. She realizes the lie she did to her driver.

Doesn't know what Putri was thinking. But right now, all she felt was deep sadness. Is that how bad Putri is? So her friends can't forgive her?

For a long time, Putri was silent in the classroom, wiping the tears that came out of her cheeks. The rumbling sound of thunder awakened her daydream. She rushed out, seeing the rapid change in the clouds to gray.

She doesn't know where to go. Putri just wanted to step out towards the school gate.

Just arrived at the schoolyard, it started to rain heavily. Even the weather seemed unfriendly to Putri.

Putri looked up at the sky, which was already full of rain. She let the raindrops cover everything from her hair to her school uniform.

Again, a shed tear from her sadness still lingers. The regret she had been feeling for so long made a black hole in her heart even more.

Putri had time to think, does she also need to leave school?

The atmosphere in the schoolyard was quiet. Maybe she's the only one there.

The rain seemed to stop suddenly, but it didn't!

There was someone beside her and providing shade to avoid the raindrops.

Putri saw a familiar figure beside her. He smiled as he carried an umbrella big enough for the two of them.

A boy she had been avoiding for a week. A boy who had been smiling at Putri, even though she had never smiled back.

Andi, who saw the many tears on Putri's face, was not surprised at all. It was as if he already knew what Putri had been through all this time.

Putri feels comfortable being close to Andi.

Andi held Putri's shoulder tightly, and this time Putri did not avoid it.

The sound of the rain was loud, making Putri not hear what Andi said. But Putri knows Andi is like saying...

"I'll take you home."

That's when their friendship began. Andi was a very understanding friend.

Since Putri's old friends passed the 10th-grade exam, they decided to change schools when the school year had just started.

Putri doesn't think much about her old friends. Because they also don't want Putri to approach them.

Since then, Putri and Andi have become close friends. As a friend who always provides support and assistance.

It's not that Andi doesn't know Putri's past. Even he knew but still didn't care what Putri had done.

Because for him, the most important thing is Putri, who now looks good in his eyes.

Putri's family is happy with Andi's presence as a new friend. This made Putri able to smile again.

However, Putri has not been able to make friends with other friends besides Andi.

Even though they are in different classes. But their friendship grew stronger.

Unfortunately, the closeness of the two of them makes Putri have a different side. There is no Andi by her side, making Putri a more reserved figure in her class.
