Chapter 2- Something fishy

♛Jason POV♛

        I  walk down the stair to the kitchen of my apartment to have my breakfast along with my sister, Britney. Usually time like this I will not be wake up because I am not a morning person but something disturbs me that keeps ringing in my heart that something will happen today.

         "Morning Jay", my sister Britney greets me when she sees me walk through the kitchen with a bright smile. I frown a little when I see her smile like that.

         " Why are you smiling like that, it looks creepy", I say grimace at her shows that I do not like to see her bright smile. She frowns back at me and makes a face that tells me that I'm being ridiculous.

              " Why can't I smile like this, it is a crime to smile brightly like this, besides it's a happy day", she replays back to me, continues to sip her black coffee. I roll my eyes to hear her answer. I open the upper cabinet near the sink to take my cup to make my black coffee. After I'm done I take a seat in front of my sister who now busy scrolling her phone. Perhaps checking her Instagram.

            "Jay do you want to know something?", Britney glance at me for a minute before looking back at her phone.

        " What?", I ask her shows that I am not interested in the conversation. When I take look at her I can see that she is a bit nervous when she bit her lower lip.

      "Umm.....do you know that Amanda will come back today", Britney uttered timidly at me, watching my reaction to what she said.

        "What!", I deapanned at her when I heard Amanda's name. I'm not expecting that news at all. I never heard anything from her when she goes to London to further her study. Nothing at all in these three years. It's just like she just vanish from the earth. No information about her and not once she came back to New York in these threes year. I often wonder why she does not go back to New York even once. She always gives excuses that say she always busy with her study even if it Christmas. I know that she pursue her study in a medical course because she was always so fascinated by that career. But for me, it is logical for that student to have an assignment during the holiday.

     But hey,it's Christmas means that the student doesn't have the assignment to do. Amanda always sucks at giving an excuse that why I always can detect when she lying because she was one hundred percent not good at lying. But I never care about her anyway.

       "Liar, you always care about her Jay",

       " Who cares about her", I replay back at my subconscious.

        "You!",

Stupid subconscious!

         "Jay do you hear what I say", Britney's voice startled me to make me look back at her. " Sorry...what did you say?", I replay while rubs my forehead looking down at the kitchen counter.

       "What you gonna do about this", she looks at me expecting my answer. I lift my head looking straight to the window of my kitchen apartment. I dont know actually what I'm going to do. I guess I just have to face her like normal.

       "I don't know act like normal, pretend that we don't know each other, continue to hate each other maybe, I just...I don't Nini", I sigh not knowing what do to about our situation.

       " You can't just to that anymore Jay, you have grown up, you're not a teenager anymore, face your problem not run from it's, even if you try to ignore the relationship you can't to that because of your responsibilities", she says muttered the last word under her breath, but I can still hear what she say and that makes me frown.

      "What did you just say...responsibilities? what my responsibilities", I ask her back make her face slightly pale. What? is my question wrong. I just want to know what responsibilities she talking about.

         " Hah! What? I'm not saying anything about responsibilities. You misheard me", Britney quickly answer me trying to cover what she said just now. She looks away from me to avoid me from digging up the secrets from her. I narrow my eyes suspiciously at her trying to find out the clue from her face. Something fishy here I thought.

        "Never mind if you don't want to tell me, I will make sure I will find out what secret you try to hide from me", I say to her with my determined face. This is Jason Mthpercy what I want will get it.

          "Sure", she said while shrugging her shoulder mindlessly.

  I slowly release a deep breath thinking, about what I'm gonna do about my situation with Amanda. After I have done with my breakfast I left for the office to complete my day. I forgot about Amanda's arrival today because of a load of things to do in my office.

♛Britney POV♛

       I watch silently Jason's expression while continue to sip my coffee. I'm looking forward to seeing Jason's expression when he knows the secret that was hidden by his wife. I wonder what will he do about it.

      Will he faint like other people too?

      Will run when he knows about it?

      Or worse he will go berserk?

Well, whatever reaction he will show I'm certainly excited to watch it. I giggle softly imagine his reaction when he knows. Shooting my head slowly with a big smile I lock my stare on my brother who's is sitting on his stool scrolling his phone. Who even believes that this guy is a dad. In the eyes of people out there that he is an eligible bachelor that will never settle down get married and have a family. Little did they know that the handsome businessman that always grazes all the business magazines in New York already tied the knot and already had kids.

            I know it obvious that the reporter will be hungry to collect all the juicy details when they know the hidden secret of Jason Mthpercy.

            And I wait to meet my nephews that make me smile even bigger. Sure it is a happy day like what I'm telling to Jason.

    Ah! Can't wait to meet them, I'm so excited.
