Chapter#20 Angry Wife

"Hey." She looked towards the source of the voice. Jack was standing behind her. She looked around. the cafeteria was quite noisy and crowded. She looked at him and smiled. "Hello." She greeted him. "We didn't get a chance to meet again after that day. I hope you are doing well." He asked her. "Yeah I am good. How are you?" She replied. "I am also fine." He said. He always had a smile on his face. Mariposa liked that thing about him.

Can't that Arrogant Beast be like that? She thought to herself. Thinking about him, she got alarmed. She was there to grab lunch for them. He was busy in his work and she came there without even telling him. "If you are free. We could spend the lunch break together." Jack offered her.

"I am sorry. I have to go." She gave him and apologetic look and picked her parcel from the counter. "It's totally fine. Maybe some other day." He said. "Yeah sure. Bye." She said and hurriedly left the place, waving at him. He just waved back at her.
