Catherine's gaze lingers on me. "Maybe it's because of your hair; you used to have it down and you had a fringe cut", Catherine continues, and then she leans me in and gives me a hug.

A nervous chuckle escaped my lips, "I wish I knew", I say uncomfortably. "Um, actually Catherine, I got into this- this accident so I have been having patches in my memories, and well, I was told by my therapist that it is probably a good idea to meet people that were in my past. Could you tell me more about how you and I met?" I ask her, lying to her about having amnesia. There is no other way I could justify not remembering who she is and other gaps and alternatives in your memory.
