Game On

Sheilas Pov

" Who are you eye-f*king?" Celine asked with curiosity and started to search with her eyes in the direction I was looking. "Karl is sitting across the room at a table with Mr. Bun." Celine looked at me, confused.

"Mr. Bun? What are you, five? " She started laughing in amusement and then continued to search the salon. I felt her energy change in a heartbeat. Her face began to lose its color and fade while she nervously began to pick with the napkin on the table.

"Oh, that's Zion West, Sheila. You know, the king of the underground. You don't want to get involved with him. He is dangerous. I have heard so many horror stories about him and his brutal ways."

She stuttered quietly, and I can see how scared she was.

I, on the other hand, was intrigued by him.

His roughness and darkness appealed to me in a way I could not describe in words.

'The king of the underground.'

Why the fuck did Karl sit at his table?

"I am going to say hello to Karl. I'll be right back."

I heard Celine inhale deeply and sighed before she whispers.

"Be careful, don't say anything stupid." She sat with a worried look across her face and held her wineglass with a shaky hand. I have heard stories about the feared king of the underground. Everyone has. He was well known here in New York. I knew I needed to play my cards right if I wanted this man's attention.

He needed to be kept on his toes, or he would quickly lose interest.

Now that I was giving him some thoughts, I realized that he had probably killed people, which could make him a fucking psychopath. From what I have heard, he probably had a lot of diagnoses. And here I am, longing for him. Still wanting him. I know, I am f*cked up.

But there is something about darkness that I cannot resist. I want it to consume me, drown me in it. I want to feel the danger play through all of my senses and make me feel the adrenaline pump, pump through my system.

"Oh, Hello Karl. How are you? It's been a while!"

I exclaimed with a surprised voice as I reached their table and then greeted his company while ignoring Mr. Bun on purpose.

"Hello Sheila, you look beautiful like always. Indeed, it was; twelve hours can be a very long time." He insinuated with a big grin on his face. I just smiled and rolled my eyes at him.

"Since I ran into you, Karl, I want to invite you to one of my gets together on Saturday. You can bring one guest. Viktor is out, so you cannot attend with him like you usually do."

I said and bites my lower lip.

"You know I never would miss out on your gatherings. But what happened to Viktor?" Karl asked and frowned at me.

"He got feelings involved."

I replied and shrugged my shoulders. Karl looked irritated as he answered.

"I knew it; that's why he got me to leave your place last night," Karl replied with an annoyed tone.

"That explains why you weren't there this morning."

I gave him a smile and then continued. "Well, that's all. Enjoy your food, boys."

I said goodbye to everyone, except for Mr. Bun. I ignored him without even looking his way.

I wiggled my ass a little bit extra when I walked back to my table. I knew Zion would watch me when I left. It is so easy to play a man."What happened? What did he say?"

Celine leaned forward over the table as she waited for my response.

"We are having one of my get-togethers this Saturday."

I said and tried to throw in a little excitement and raised a fist in the air.

"Oh? How will we get it all done in time?" She replied and wrinkled her eyebrows in disbelief while she clenched her jaw.

"That's when money comes in handy, sweetie." I winked and smiled at her.

We finished our wine and then got up and made it into the hallway when Celine suddenly stopped.

"Shit, I need to pee before we leave. You can wait for me outside!"

I turned around and watched Celine sprint to the toilet. I was about to head outside when Mr. Bun appeared in front of me with a dangerous, wicked smile on his lips. His ice-blue eyes had a dark shadow lurking within, and I could feel my heartbeat skip a bit. I met his eyes with a questioning look while I raised an eyebrow at him. I challenged him to make the next move.

"I can see that you like to play games."

His dark and sensual voice broke the silence between us. He had that kind of voice that made your panties wet. I had always had a thing for dark voices.

That was one of my most significant weaknesses in a man.

We kept eye contact when he slowly walked towards me. He stopped inches away, but I could sense his muscular body against mine.

He grabbed my chin, making me tilt my head backward, and I faced him upwards.

He was tall, at least 6'5 foot tall. Which was a good height since I was 5'8 foot myself.

We stare into the eyes of each other and. Wow. Let me tell you, I could feel the sexual tension like I never have felt it before.

It felt like a thunderstorm had caused a field of high voltage between us. Lightning was striking between our bodies.

But then something suddenly changed. I could see so much pain and darkness within his eyes. I could tell his soul had been tainted, and I believe his sins were piled up and higher than the bible itself by now.

I am no one to judge. I have my fair share of sins since the seven sins lived through my average weekday.

It felt like this staring contest was his way of testing me. He was that type of man that thrives on fear and playing on people's emotions. He loved feeling superior, and he was used to dominating for sure. But I was not going to submit to his domination. I met his fucking gaze with all I had left within me. I was not going to break in this moment and be the one to look away first.

We stood there, looking into each other's souls, and for a moment, it felt like the world had frozen around us. We stood still like two people in a movie that was paused.

Then he started to stroke my jawline with his thumb for a few seconds before he leaned down and grabbed my neck, and he whisper, "See you on Saturday, Sheila."

He inhales my scent before he turned around and walked down the stairs, and left the building.

"F*ck me, that was so intense."

Celine exclaimed with an excited voice and walked up to me. "Hello, Sheila?"

I could hear Celine shouting at me, but I have not felt so overwhelmed by a man in many, many years. Zion has really knocked me out already, and we have not even hung out for more than a couple of minutes. Then I felt her hand slapping me right across the face. What the hell?

"Snap out of it. Now!" She roared in my face and glared at me angrily. I caress my cheek as I feel it start burning. "Seriously? Why didn't you just pinch my arm as a normal person would do."

I gave her an angry face."That's not fun, is it?"

She answered aphetically and narrowed her eyes.

"Let us go outside for a smoke now!" Celine continued saying, and we ambered out of the restaurant, side by side. I told Celine what Zion had said, and she was shocked. To speak, at least.

"You can't be serious? He's going to come on Saturday. To your place? Is this real?"

Celine said, and we ambered out of the restaurant, side by side. I told Celine what Zion had said, and she was shocked. To speak, at least.

"You can't be serious? He's going to come on Saturday. To your place? Is this real?" Celine held one hand against her chest and started to breathe heavily in a dramatic way.

"Calm down, Celine. It is not the end of the world. It won't be any difference having him there." I uttered in an annoyed tone and turned around to see that the valet guy had driven up my car. Celine and I thanked him before I gave him a tip and then hopped into the car and drove away.

"I'm going to call Viktor now and end things now."

I mused out loud, and Celine nodded in response.

I got him on the hands-free, and he answered the call right away. We talked for a few minutes, and he admitted his feelings, so I ended our relationship and wished him good luck in life. I could hear he was sad about it, but I had been clear with him from the beginning, and this was for the best. No strings attached.

"Now, we need to throw the best fucking party on Saturday," Celine shouted and blasted the music on the stereo, and the tones from a new hit song filled up the car.
