After crossing the giant suspension bridges connecting the two regions, the vehicle moved at a steady speed towards the tribe led by Butcher Haydo. There were no escorts around, no one lived in the area brave enough to intercept them.
The senior orcs in the Holy Land had also traveled to the Arid Zone Tribe to meet with the duo. All the orcs were on edge, as this was the first big meeting since Chief Alyon and Nafız had left.
Their successes and adventures had reached the ears of the people. Two men had brought an entire city to its knees, and not a single orc knew their names.
The coordinates of their destination had been entered into the vehicle, so they chatted and slept the whole way. They were familiar with the landscape and there was not much to see in the Arid Zone.
As the wagon slowed down, they realized that they had arrived at their destination and the noise in their ears coincided.
"Get out of the vehicle and confirm your identity!
The voice was stern, giving full justice to the imperative.
With Chief Alyon leading the way and Nafız following behind him, they slowly climbed out of the stairs that opened.
''Who are you?''
The two who got out of the vehicle were in no mood to pay attention to the guard, as if they were mesmerized by their surroundings. They could not see the border of the tribe, which was in ruins when they left it, and the most striking thing was the orc tents that had been erected in the area where the mines were located.
Alyon and Nafız were stunned, not expecting such a rate of growth in such a short time, but they were brought to their senses when the guards grabbed them by the arms and shook them.
''Seize the spies! Did you think that you could enter our tribe by imitating our symbol, waving your arms?
The orcs on guard had never seen the legendary duo before, and they were nothing like the stories they had been told. Most orc warriors had learned of Chief Alyon as a giant and Nafız as a man who killed her enemies with her gaze.
The two bewildered orcs standing before them could only be spies sent by the Main Tribe. They immediately put purple alloy handcuffs on their hands, put a sack over their heads and stuffed them into the pit where they had imprisoned the prisoners.
''Chief Alyon, you can't be too proud, look how advanced the tribe under your rule has become. They threw us in here in between two words!''
Nafız finished her words with a big laugh. She had been buried alive with her friend, expecting to be welcomed with a bow to the ground.
''Shut up, bitch! I'm already bored, don't let me take your head off!
Even though it was pitch black inside, the Blood God could see the cluster of people where the voice had come from. Every society that tries to thrive will have some weeds, and they were in pits designed for their breeding and extermination.
Between the deep pits, dug separately from each other, were joints too narrow for an orc to pass through. This was how the air circulated in this completely enclosed space.
''Well, look what tough men there are in the neighboring holes. I'm very curious, how do you intend to do what you say?
Alyon was very angry. Not only were they imprisoned with a bunch of assholes, but they were also insulted.
'' I can hear the sound of your handcuffs all the way here, I'll show you little bugs when I open the passage between us a little more!
The general practice was to put criminals in here, only Chief Alyon and his friend Nafız were handcuffed on suspicion of being spies. Apart from correctional purposes, this place also had an extermination goal, and it was quite normal for the inmates to kill each other.
"Don't bother. I'm sending you something, you can deal with it!
The line was long crossed, and a moment later a bear with huge claws and a huge body appeared in the pit where the two were.
"Tear it apart!
The order was clear, the beast of power dug its claws into the earthen walls separating the pits without a word. Not twenty breaths later, silhouettes of orcs would appear in a cloud of dust, their expressions priceless to see.
"I think there is nothing in your way now, let's see your skill!
Chief Alyon was infuriated, and in contrast to his usual calm demeanor, he sought to push the envelope to the limit.
''Sir, we have made a grave mistake. Please forgive us!
These groveling, begging orcs were just orcs using their numbers to bully those around them. Before they even saw who was in their side pits, the majesty of the beast of power standing before them was enough to bring them to their knees.
''Alyon, I'll take it from here. The boys just made a mistake, you can't just cut them off!
Nafız felt nothing but disgust at the sight of the orcs trembling with fear, killing them now would be a reward.
''For every misdemeanor there must be a punishment, we will play a game with you. Whoever can dodge two moves from this monster standing next to me will go on with his life!''
Realizing that they were going to spend some time here, Nafız found some entertainment for himself. Alyon was just a spectator, leaving the stage to the power animal in the lead role.
Time was passing, the sun was shining its rays away from the tribe, and the expected important guests had still not arrived. All the captains except Rebelheart, the students of the Blood God and Alyon's family were waiting impatiently in the chief's tent.
"Kasaphaydo, is there any news from the guards?
It was Hammertooth who spoke, and though he had no worries, the waiting bothered him. He had always been impetuous, so he could never be in these situations.
''When the sun was at its zenith, we received news that two spies were trying to enter the tribe. The vehicle they were driving had the symbol of our tribe on it!''
''Are you just now saying that?''
Sangre exclaimed angrily as the chief of the Arid Zone Tribe finished speaking. There could have been an ambush on the road and his master could have been caught unawares.
''Bring them here immediately, they need to be questioned urgently!''
When the Bookworm turned to the guards inside the tent and gave the order, the warriors rushed out like the wind. The morning sentries greeted the messengers as they rushed to the head of the pits, they knew this moment was coming and for the same reason they did not leave their posts even when their work was done.
"Didn't I tell you, after this they will take us into the main army!
Their faces were beaming. Their current rank was no more than normal guards running errands, but such an achievement would make them part of the army. They came to the pit with joy and shouted excitedly.
''You two! Put your handcuffs on the hook we will throw down, it's time for your interrogation!
There was no other way out of the pits that served as prisons, at least for normal orcs. Nafiz and Alyon did not object, they left the blood-soaked side cell and reached the ropes that would carry them up.
"Close their eyes, don't let them learn about our tribe!
The guards were in high spirits, their chests heaving with pride as they marched with the messengers to the chief's tent. They ignored the people following them along the road, their air made them impossible to approach.
"Get back from here, we'll take care of the rest!
The warriors standing guard in front of the chief's tent wanted to stop them and take the two prisoners with their heads covered by the sack.
"No, we captured the spies, we will bring them before the chief!
As the sounds of the brawl outside filled the tent, Butcher Haydo, already tense from the pressure, shouted.
"Let them in!
The team of guards who had stopped the vehicle in the morning rushed in, complete with their prisoners, and faced the waiting group. The two orcs they had brought with them were still standing when they bowed with one knee on the ground.
''Kneel quickly. You are in the presence of the great chief Alyon and the warriors of the Blood God Nafız!
The leader of the guard called out to the prisoners with all the flattery he could muster. At the warning, the shorter orc fell to his knees without a sound, but the larger-than-average orc insisted, not moving an inch.
"I'm telling you, kneel now!
The guard, who had been in a trance, gave the stubbornly standing orc a solid kick in the leg. The result, contrary to his expectations, was an indescribable pain in his own foot.
''Kid, you're pushing your luck too hard!''
The recipient of the blow spoke and the short kneeling orc muttered in frustration.
''Is now the time to be a killjoy?''
