Chapter 1: Broken

Anna's POV

After cleaning up my small boutique I settled down at my counter I pray I make sales today,bills are knocking here and there. Thankfully this is the only thing my parents left before they die,they died when I was still in high school. My mom is a fashion designer and my dad lost his job so they work in the shop together,after I managed to graduate from high school I got admitted in to college. I studied Fashion designing so I can keep my parents hard work,after three years I graduated with first class. I met my boyfriend Jake when I was still in college he is broke but I love him. My mom also support my dad before they died there is nothing I could do to but support Jake too. It's 12pm and no customer,it's not new sometimes I won't make sales through out the day but I need to get food stuffs,pay my landlord,pay bills and tax and I am penniless. I believe strongly things will change,I was thinking about strategies I can use to promote my business. My location is not helping with the new Quin Corporation that people are rushing to get clothes from,I am no match for Quin Corporation it is a global company and it doesn't deal with fashion only. I am not interested in competing with them too,"Good afternoon ma'am" a little voice distracted me it's a sweet voice indeed. "Hello sweetie,how do help" I said on sighting the little girl of about six years of age,she has silky smooth golden brown hair which was braided in twin pigtails lying on her shoulders with few strands flying over her face. "My mom's birthday is tomorrow and I need to buy a dress for her,she has not bought a dress for the as long as I can remember" the little girl said happily. "Hmmm that's so good of you, your mom must be proud to have you let's go check dresses for your mom" I said leading her towards the hangers holding female dresses even though they are just few designs," Which type of dress does your mom like,and is there any specific color she likes?" I asked the little girl. "Nothing in particular but I want something that is perfect for her" the little girl replied smiling. "Okay I've got this what size?" I asked,"well medium size is okay for my mom" the girl replied. I believe there is a strong bond between them I missed my mom and dad how I wish there are here.

I picked a purple mid length dinner dress it is long sleeved with net at the top to cover the cleavage,the dress is one of my mom's precious design. The girl smiled on seeing the dress a good sign she like it,"thank you auntie" the girl said still gazing at the dress. She had a drastic change in emotion,she is looking down at her feet. Maybe she doesn't like it,"You don't like it? Should I look for another one?" I asked,"No auntie the dress is perfect but I don't have that amount I only have 500 dollars, my money is 650 dollars short"She said in low tone. The girl has tried her best for her mom,"you can have the dress for free and use your 500 dollars for your mom's birthday party" I said and her face lights up immediately,she hugged me. "Really auntie? Thank you very much, when I grow up I will repay you. My name is Adam Chloe, what about you?" The girl asked after releasing from the hug,"my name is Allison Anna. Nice meeting you Chloe" I replied her. I packed the dress and wrapped it in gift cover,"consider it my gift to your mom wish her happy birthday for me" I said waving her buy .

I was rearranging my shop when men in black entered with sun shades and communicating devices plugged to their ears, I got scared I don't anyone money so it can't be loan sharks even I paid off my educational loan. A man walked in after the men in black entered and forming two rows of line facing each other,the man is about 6'5 ft,he has a well defined jawline,his muscular body trying to fit into his suit with two to three buttons missing on his white shirt,the man was surveying my shop. The look and type of aura he was giving make me quiver in fear,comport yourself Anna he is just a human being and not a wolf he won't eat you. He is like a Demon of handsomeness,if there is a word I can use to qualify him I will use it. Time to get professional Anna I screamed in my mind,"Sir how may I help you?" I asked trying to get professional enough even though my voice is shaking, definitely he is not human. He looked at me from my toes to my head, "Ava I don't think they got my my suit size and this place is suffocating me" The man said in husky voice. The lady moved closer to me,"we need three pieces suit XXL" the girl Ava said. Luckily I have one that has been living in my shop for the past 2 years with no one buying it it's for muscular guys just like him. "yes I have the exact size for him,it's black too"I said as firm as possible,he is rude and proud. I lead them over to the male section,I brought out the suit thank God I clean my shop everyday,I unzipped the suit sack's zip. He tried it on and it was perfect not too big and not too tight,He smiled oh that's a good sign he loved the suit. His workers were shocked and he returned back to his strict face. "5,000 dollars" I said. "Okay" Ava said and gave me a bunch of new notes," Ma'am you made a mistake or are you buying anything else?" I asked this is too much 50,000 dollars. "Not at all thanks for your service" Ava replied and left.

That's it Chloe is a good luck charm,I dance around the shop,I went back to my counter I have to keep the money in my purse. After searching the shop,shit I left it at home,I will even share the good news with Jake. I quickly locked my shop and started walking towards my house,my house to shop is just 10 to 15 minutes walk.

My house is like normal house you will find in Nashville,the house is a two storey building with 30 apartments,"Hey Anna I've been looking for you,the water pumping machine maintenance fee is due please pay on time" David my landlord said. "I will surely pay don't worry" I said and proceed towards my apartment. I was about to turn the door knob when I heard moans,maybe is coming from the next apartment. "That Anna is foolish can't she tell I don't love her. She is just like a puppy I play with" I heard a familiar voice saying and chuckling at the same time,"Babe when are you going to leave her? She doesn't have money again" I heard a tiny voice saying sweetly.

Tears streaming down my face,no that's not possible Jake loves me we've been together for 4years maybe it's not my Anna,I heard moans again no I can't take this again,anger got the best of me and I banged into the room. I got the biggest shock of my life as Jake was lying naked next to a naked lady,she is all read. "Jaaaaakkkkkeeeee"I screamed with tears threatening to fall,God I can't believe this,but I got another blow when when Jake ignored me and continue kissing the girl. I got angry and started punching Jake,"Get the hell out of my room" I shouted at him. "Well I am ready to leave too,babe let's go" he said guiltless. I slapped him hard,"How dare you? I fed you with my money,I clothes you and you even live in my house I loved you unconditionally. You are such an ungrateful brat get the hell outta my house" I screamed with anger. He picked his bags and left with the girl, I cried I got betrayed. I trusted him is this how he is going to repay me? What did I do wrong? I looked around my apartment,it was in a mess I cleaned it up and console myself. Jake is my first love and I can't believe he was deceiving me all this years I didn't bother going back to my boutique. Thank God I caught him good riddance to bad rubbish but I'm still hurt.

Raymond's POV

Getting up with my alarm it's still 5AM, I walked into my bathroom and wash my face. I put on my fitness outfit and walked into my fitness room after exercising till 7AM. I prepared for the day,today I have a presentation at Nashville by 11AM it is 2hours drive from Los Angeles but 1 hour by plane. I decided to take my private plane,Ava will be accompanying me,she knows Nashville very well. After getting dressed in three pieces suit I walked towards my rooftop where my private plane is waiting for me. Ava was waiting too,she dressed corporate in nude fitted gown with black jacket.

"Are you ready sir?" Ava asked, I just nodded my head and walked towards the stairs after few minutes the pilot started flying the plane,I checked my presentation again and I'm satisfied with what I'm seeing. I've been going repeatedly for this presentation for months now and I won't continue going for it if it's not worth it and that's the truth. Suddenly my suit button poped out,and that of shirt too removed,Ava was also shocked. Most of my suits are like this,I cleared my throat to distract Ava staring at my chest. No girl will ignore my abs and that's is not my problem now I can't wear this to my presentation.

"Ava do you know any shop where I can get XXL suit?" I asked, "Yes sir when we arrive Nashville we will check the boutiques" She replied with her blushing face. After few minutes the Pilot announced our arrival. I still have three hours to my presentation. We started suit hunting but I was unable to find my size even at my corporation's branch. The last boutique is my only hope,the boutique is not really big but it's presentable and neat. I can go in,after my body guards entered I followed them,a girl with violet eyeballs with slender curves and whitish skin was staring at me. Maybe she was scared her voice was shaking but she is trying to be professional.

When we asked for the size she brought it out without checking the hangers I guess his only one of that size she has,I instructed Ava to pay her times ten the price because I'm very satisfied with the suit after trying it on . We left the boutique and I can still see the girl's happy face through the glass, when we drove past her shop she was dancing I guess she didn't make sales since morning and perhaps her boss will scold her. I smiled unconsciously again today.

On arriving LiZ and Co that's where I will be having my presentation, today I am fully prepared. At 11AM the presentation started and I gave my full best. After my presentation the board applaud,I was stormed." Mr. Quin congratulations,you get the contract. There is no other presentation as good as this" Mrs Smith said smiling,"We will forward all the documents to you"Mr John said,"thank you "I replied. That boutique girl must be my lucky charm or perhaps not,I must find her. "Ava gather every information on the boutique girl" I announced on getting back to my office at company. "Yes sir" Ava replied and left my office. I must find her,I spent the rest of the day recalling her features and smiling.
