Chapter 4: I will protect you

Anna's POV

I opened my eyelids slowly trying to adjust to the light,I studied my surroundings. Wait this is not my apartment,the room is mainly grey and black. The bed is very soft large enough for five people to sleep. There are shelves holding books. I noticed there are three doors,I got up from the bed, let's see if I can get out. Who knows if Jake kidnapped me but I feel safe here,I'm in a large t-shirt,how come..... was I rapped? "haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" I screamed,I heard footsteps rushing towards the room. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" A husky baritone asked with a little bit of worry filled in the voice,I raised my head to look at the person. The crazy rich man,how did I get here,did he take me? Was he the one I hugged yesterday in the rain? I don't even know his name.

Raymond's POV

After getting to Nashville I waited outside Anna's boutique,9pm she is still inside,I waited later I got a call from one of my business partner requesting for us to meet. Since my spies said she doesn't come out until past 10PM. I will make sure I don't spend up to an hour there. After the meeting I called my spies if they have seen Anna they said she is still inside. I blamed myself for giving too much stress,on getting to Anna's boutique my spies are no where to be found. Anna's boutique is locked from outside,that means she has gone home. I called Eric one of my spy,"Where are you and rest and is Anna home" I asked him. "We followed Ms. Anna but she was attacked by Jake's gang now we lost her"Eric said. I felt wetness on my head,it's raining,I walked towards Anna's house then I saw one my spies,"which way did she go?" I asked. "Sir you are wet"he replied,I got pissed off is that what I asked him. "That.....that... direction"he stammered pointing to one of the streets.

I ran through the street no sign of Anna some of my spies were taking care of Jake's gang,"Eric make sure you guys find that Jake"I said to Eric and left him. I'm really worried for Anna what if they injured her? That means I will not see Anna smile and dance again? No that will not happen,I sighted a femine body on the ground. That is Anna,I happily rushed towards her,"Mom dad I want you"Anna said amidst tears. Anna started shaking,she rose up, I hugged her immediately. I don't even know why I hugged her,she sniffed I called out to her but she was not responding. I shook her but I got no response,she fainted she has been in the rain for long. I carried her in bridal style,I called Eric to bring the car over. I took shelter at the entrance of one of the closed shops,Eric came with the car I urged the driver to drive faster.

I carried Anna and enter my private plane,I told the pilot to take me back to Las Vegas. I laid Anna gently on the bed in the bedroom of my private plane,her clothes got wet from the rain. I have to change it but I don't want to take advantage of Anna. I called one of the female attendant and left the bedroom,I feel jealous because the attendant will see Anna's nude but it's better than hurting her. After arrival was announced I picked Anna up in a bridal style. I entered my private elevator that leads directly to my room,I stay at the last floor of my house,the servants stay at the lowest floor,the second is for receiving highly respected visitors like Mike and his family. And my office and study room is at the fifth floor. My house is just six storey building the third and fourth floor are empty, I have nothing to put there just rooms without purpose,but with Anna the fourth floor will be our children's rooms and third floor will be for our children's playrooms.

I laid Anna gently on my bed and tugged her carefully,she smiled even though it is unconsciously it worth it. She looks cute I took my phone and took her pictures. I went to the dinning room to eat,the workers were wishpering and gossiping but kept their mouths shut as soon as they notice me. After eating I went back to my room,Anna was crying in her sleep seems like she is having a terrible nightmare,I cuddled her and pat her back gently,I fell asleep few minutes later this is rare at least it will take me about two hours to sleep after tossing up and down my bed.

I checked the bedside alarm what 7AM,I woke up later,this is getting wierd. I have Insomnia so I don't sleep even if I try to sleep and finally get some sleep around 4:30 AM most times I will wake up by 5AM. Waking up late like this is rare,I looked at Anna's cute face. I took few strands of hair from her face,I kissed her forehead and left the room. I walked into my gym I was still training when I heard a loud scream,it's Anna is she in trouble or is it nightmare?. I rushed towards my room,"Are you okay?" "Are you hurt?"I asked. Nothing happened to her, thankfully this floor is sound proof,"Anna are you okay?"I asked again if were to be regular people I would have lash out on them but Anna no. I know I changed alot these days,I like this new feeling,this is the first time I want to protect someone,this is the first time I want to keep someone safe,this is first time I'm experiencing this new feeling. This new feeling is like a light in my dark world,Mike called it LOVE,I love it I want it to continue.

I pulled her in my embrace,"how did...did... you know my name?" Anna asked. "I just know"I replied cupping her face in my palms,she still looked shocked and surprised. "What about my dress? Did you change it?" She asked again now I get the reason she screamed,she thought I changed her dress. "Yes I changed your dress,you were wet and I won't like you to get cold"I said her face turn sour immediately. I chuckled "It was the flight attendant,I'm not that vicious to take advantage of a lady"I said and face lightened up immediately.

Anna's POV

The crazy rich man hugged me and I like it,I feel like I'm safe,Jake does not hug me like this,when I asked him about my dress,he teased me first but I got relieved when he said it was the flight attendant. Wait flight attendant does that mean..... I traveled out of Nashville,"Hmmmmm,Mr crazy rich man"I slipped out my thoughts gosh Anna he will surely throw you out now. He saved you from Jake,he losened his hug,and looked at me with his serious face,I wish I could bury myself now,"What did you call me?" he asked but his voice is not gentle. I tried to talk but I couldn't find my voice,"Answer me"he shouted at me. What am I supposed to do now? I don't even know where I am?. "Huh I am sorry I did not know your name, and to me all rich people behave crazy. I didn't mean to hurt you" I said truthfully hoping I will escape.

He looked at me with his narrow eyes then his face soften a bit,"Call me Raymond that is my name" he said. "Okay Raymond"I said and he smiled he knows how to smile,"You know how to smile?"I asked in amusement. "Are you okay? Did those bastards hit you?" Raymond asked. Now I remember about that bastard Jake. "No I only have few cuts and thank you for saving me sir"I replied. "Don't call me sir, Raymond is my name okay"he said and I nodded. "Dress up in that room and that is the bathroom"He said pointing to two doors. I smiled and walked into the bathroom first,the bathroom is very luxurious, even though everything has boring colors you can still smell money unlike my bathroom that can barely fit two people this one can fit ten people. Nice jacuzzi,he has a bath tub too with shower,my first time seeing all of these,I only see them in movies,I walked towards the sink. There are some female stuffs there everything is brand new,I saw a new pink toothbrush maybe he is married or he has a girlfriend,I brushed my teeth after that I walked into the tub for a good bath. I picked the pink towel on the hanger it's still new,I tied the towel and opened the bathroom door slightly,I scanned the room if he is in the bedroom,no sign of him I enter the second door he showed me.

I was amazed looking at the room it is a walk in closet,the room is very big and spacious one would have mistaken it for a mall. This room is bigger than my boutique, different shelves and hangers. Two big shelves were holding his t-shirts mainly color white,black and grey, countless shelves holding suits no doubt he must be a businessman,five shelves were holding his jeans trousers,two shelves holding jean jackets,two shelves holding his folded ties of different colors and Designs, several shelves holding his shoes,three shelves holding sport wears,one glass shelf has varieties of wristwatch. I wonder if he wear them all I sighted a unisex joggers with sweatshirt,I put it on without hesitation,it's better but it's somehow big on me I folded the arms,now it's better. I combed and styled my hair into ponytail.

I closed the closet door behind me,at the same time Raymond walked out of the bathroom room tieing white towel around his waist. Water dripping down his wet hair,his muscular abs is such an enticing sight like a sexy demon. "Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" I screamed. I'm not supposed to look at him I quickly turn around, Raymond chuckled and walked inside the closet,I scanned the room, everything looks boring nothing interesting. I got flashes of Raymond's wet body,Anna focus don't be a pervert he has a girlfriend. He walked out five minutes later, he picked his phone and started making some calls. He was talking about work and he asked some people to come to his house. My stomach growled,no this is bad,how am I supposed to look at him I'm embarrassed. "Looks like someone is hungry let's go"Raymond said and strode out of the room,"By the way you look funny in those clothes" he said chuckling,God I'm going to die out of embarrassment. We walked towards an elevator and we entered,we were both silent this akward. "Raymond please where is this?" I asked breaking the silence,"You are in my house"he replied. This guy must be dumb who cares if it's an hotel,"I mean city or county" I said. "Oh you are in Las Vegas"he replied,ding the elevator notified our arrival, people in the same uniform bowed obviously not for me.

This guy must be really rich indeed,we reached a grand hall a very long table was placed in the middle with chairs around it, don't tell me this is a dinning. it's like a royal dinning room,he sat down at the center I sat next to him. The servants started serving the food,I immediately munched on them. "They taste good the cook must be a five star chef" I said and picked the chicken laps. This is a feast surely,I should enjoy it. After few minutes I stopped eating,I'm now filled, Raymond stopped eating long ago,he was watching me with a funny look but ignored him stomach affairs first. "Thank you for the food"I said,"It's fine at....."Raymond was cut off my a tiny voice,"Uncle Ray" we both looked at the direction,that familiar face, Chloe it's really her. Chloe is now in Raymond's arms, "Hey cutie how are you?" Raymond asked, "I'm good uncle Ray" Chloe replied, "Aunty Anna is that you?"Chloe exclaimed and happily hugged my legs. "Hey Chloe it's me,how are you doing?" I asked her,"I'm fine aunty Anna but why do you look like a little carrot in a big sack" Chloe replied. "Hey Chloe you don't talk to people like that,Aunty Anna is a good person you don't abuse her"Mrs Adam scolded Chloe,"I'm really sorry Anna"Mrs Adam looked apologizing I smiled. "It's fine Mrs. Adam" I replied. "Hey little brother..... wait what is Ms. Anna doing here" Mr Adam said on entering the dining hall.

Too much attention on me, Chloe apologized and I hugged her,I exchanged pleasantries with Mr and Mrs Adam. "Mike you know Anna" Raymond asked I forgot he is here,how are they related is that Raymond's brother?

Raymond's POV

I was angry the moment Anna called me crazy rich man,but she apologized sincerely how can I stay angry with her. I showed her the bathroom and closet,I went back to my gym to finish my training. I walked into the bathroom and had my bath,Anna and I walked out of the closet and bathroom respectively at the same time. I looked at Anna,she was in one of my joggers and sweatshirt, but they are too big,she rolled the sweatshirt,she screamed as she looked at my chest. She turned back and I walked into the closet, I came out few minutes later.

Anna was scanning my bedroom I called Ava and told her I will work from home so she should send all her reports from work and not to come,I called Mike to come check on Anna,he reconcile with his wife already, Chloe was shouting at the background I asked him to bring her with him. I remember Anna's funny look I don't want people to look at her funny face,"Mike can you ask Marie to help me get female stuff like dress and undergaments" this is the first time I will be using requesting tone for anyone.

Anna's tummy growled I teased her and took her to the dinning room,on our way I teased her about her outfit,in the elevator she asked me about where she is,I know she must be curious and I answered her. We got to my dinning room,Anna started eating ignoring everything around her,I understand how hungry she is maybe she didn't eat lunch yesterday, I stopped eating and I watched her eating like her life depend on it. She thanked me after eating,her discussion was disrupted by Chloe like father like daughter the are both lousy but I like Chloe version. I was surprised when Anna was exchanging pleasantries with Mike and his family casually even Chloe made a remark on Anna's funny outfit. Anna is like a carrot in big sack,I want to beat Chloe but I know she is just a kid.

"Mike you know Anna?" I asked, "Yes you know when Marie left with Chloe to Nashville?" I nodded, "Chloe wanted to get a dress for Marie's birthday,other boutique did not treat Chloe well only Anna gave Chloe attention. Chloe's money was not even enough to get dress but Anna gave her the dress for free as birthday gift."Mark explained. "Chloe even make sure we thank Anna before we leave Nashville. Anna is a kind person,Chloe likes her very much. We were planning on going to Nashville again next week." Marie explained. "It's really nothing Mr and Mrs Adam,you make feel embarrassed" Anna said. "Mike check her for any serious injury,Marie thank you for your help,I will send you the money today"I said.

After checking Anna Mike only treated her cuts and injuries,he gave her few medications, Chloe insists on staying with Anna. Mike left with Marie. Anna changed into a simple floral gown,she stayed in second floor with Chloe,that's Mike and his family's floor,they are my family even though I am cold towards them. Anna looks cute with children,I imagined Anna playing with our kids. Raymond she does not even like you,don't think highly of yourself. I walked to my study room and started doing my work I feel some kind of happiness in my house today. I got information about Jake,he left Anna because of money and she doesn't allow him to have sex,I am happy with this. But now he is trying his best to revenge on Anna,he didn't expect Anna will quickly shove him away and Anna could live happily without him,he is trying his best to make Anna sad.

That won't happen under my watch,Jake is still on the run hiding somewhere in Nashville,I made sure those gang that attacked Anna have fair share of my punishment. It won't take time before my team will find him,that bastard he doesn't know the worth of Anna,he doesn't respect or value her. I will make sure I kill him,Anna is also dumb to fall for that playboy,I won't blame her she had no one and she was still naive at that time. I finished my work and joined Anna and Chloe for lunch, Chloe took Anna to my garden.

I continued my work the new project needs close supervision,I still want Anna to stay here with me. I don't want her to go back to Nashville,I have to come up with something.
