Chapter 119 - Chessboard

All the guilts from the past crept up to his regretful eyes, and more so when he knew he couldn't even search for a part of his soul he abandoned that day.

Alex put back all of the mails he could never send inside the chest. But before he closed it again, he saw a small box buried in the bottom and took it with his trembling hands.

He forced his tears to stop as he opened the box that was specially designed with a technology no one probably had ever seen before.

A faint smoke emitted as Alex slowly opened the lid, and once the thing inside came to his vision, his heart shattered to thousand pieces.

Alex hugged what appeared to be a receiving blanket to his chest, inhaling the scent that this special box had kept for him since 23 years ago, wondering if he still deserved a chance to hug half of his heart that he left behind that day.
