Chapter 332 - An Outsider

Jacob pursed his lips and sighed. "As long as he doesn't cause trouble, I won't make a fuss about his choice."

The old woman flashed a proud smile. "Don't worry, he knows he has a big responsibility as the legitimate heir. That's why he doesn't choose an outsider to be his bride." She said.

Gloria knew what she did by saying that. It was a part of the mind game she always did with others, Jacob included. She perfectly veiled her manipulative intention by saying that the person Clyde chose as a bride wasn't an outsider.

Jacob was married twice to outsiders— women who grew up in another family like Cynthia and Clara— and both of his marriages ended tragically.

Gloria's goal for using the word 'outsider' was none other than playing with Jacob's subconscious so that he would recall the grim reality of his past marriages.
