Chapter 2 DARK INDEED

The Evil Friend

Granny sighs and repeated the question"why I caused the day I met Elizabeth?"

She replied to the question

On a very good day,as usual she visits and we both gist. Then I made mention of a man who stopped me by the roadside asking me out. Elizabeth asked me to describe the man which I did. She smiled and told me good qualities about the desmond which were false... She asked what my reply was when Desmond asked me out. I told her what I did and she fled up insulting me." How dare you do such to an innocent man? Do you even know if he was just a helper? What's wrong with you? " She then stood up to leave.she talked to me like there was no issue between us. I thought she was going to a cooperative meeting like she always did buh I was wrong. She was going to visit desmond. All this while that I and Elizabeth had been friends she never mentioned to me about her secret affairs. She never told me she had a master,I mean a man lover. And guess who it was?? It was Desmond again.

They exchange pleasantries and Desmond explained how I reacted when he walked up to me. He told Elizabeth he was very annoyed and had made up his mind to teach me a great lesson I would never forget. Elizabeth and Desmond agreed that I should be punished and then had fun. Elizabeth was paid for me to be punished.

Days passed by and Elizabeth never called, text, visited or even picked my call or reply my messages. I became worried. On a Saturday, she visited to warn me never to call, text or visit her again and I asked "why?". She told me she visited Desmond the other day when she left my place. She told me Desmond was annoyed but she never made mention of her being paid to punish me. Elizabeth threatened that she would do whatever it takes for me to marry Desmond and she left. I began to suspect something was not right. Elizabeth met with Desmond to plan on how to punish me.

I never set my eyes or even heard anything from Elizabeth until this very day when she ran into my house telling me her husband was critically ill that she needed me to accompany her to the hospital. And by this time,it was about eleven months since I set my eyes on her. At first, when I sighted her I thought she came for us to reconcile.

IF IT WAS YOU, WHAT WOULD YOU DO WHEN YOUR BEST FRIEND RUN UP TO YOU FOR HELP AFTER ELEVEN MONTH OF DEPARTING. AND REMEMBER SHE SAID YOU SHOULD FORGET YOU BOTH WERE FRIENDS. WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF IT WAS YOU?

I took the matter even more serious because her husband was my helper. Victory had gone to school. So I locked my apartment to follow Elizabeth to her house. I didn't bother asking what was wrong with her husband or even think about it. We left for her house.

Granny began to sob ...
