Prologue

A man waiting for his class to finish is standing near the door. He who can't wait to leave the room is staring at his wristwatch.

As the bell rang the man hurriedly leave the room. He quickly rode his car and left the university.

"I'm not yet ready to see you," he said, and thought, why did that incident happen. He thought the memory he buried deep down in his mind is starting to hunt him again.

He can't bear to remember it again but he knows that he can never deny the fact that this happened.

Before going straight to his destination, he firstly buys a bouquet to offer to her.

Claude got bored of the silence and turned on the radio but the music playing at the moment is her favorite song. 'Why? Why is this song playing right now?' he thought, he quickly turned the radio off since he doesn't want to remember her.

He arrives at his destination shortly after that. He quickly got out of his car with his flowers on hand. 'This cemetery is old, but I can't deny the fact that she is here and resting.' he thought.

Claude begins walking toward her grave, "In Loving Memory of Nicole Gomez," he read. I can't believe it's been one year since then. "Nics, I miss you so much, can't you come back to me? This year has been so hard without you by my side. I always wonder whether if it was worth it for you to protect me and let me live while you're in there laying underground. I'm sorry, I didn't attend your funeral, I don't know if I can face your parents back then but now it's different since they are the ones who help me overcome your death. Thank you for the love you gave to me, thank you for protecting me."

He gets ready to leave but a memory of him with her starts to play in his head as he remembers it.

'Claude is with her beloved Nicole, sitting on the beach and watching the beautiful scenery holding hands. Nicole was teasing Claude for trying to surprise her but it ended as a big failure since she heard what he was planning on doing and she tries to sabotage it. Claude can't fight with her as he was too embarrassed to even look at her. Nicole just keeps on laughing and teasing him.'

Claude remembers this scene in his head, he wishes to hear her laugh again. He wants to talk to her like the old times but he can't, since she's not here anymore.

Rather than thinking hard about things that can't come back anymore he begins to walk to leave and vowed to himself that he will not come to this place again.

While he was walking back, his phone began ringing, "Hello, this is Claude" he said.

He didn't bother to look for the caller's ID since he can't be bothered by it.

As he was walking while on phone, he bumped into a person. "Oh, I'm sorry," she said. Claude was about to talk and say sorry when he noticed that this person looks like his beloved Nicole, "Nics" he muttered.

"What?" the woman asked. "I'm sorry, it's nothing." And he begins walking again at a fast pace, the person who was on his phone keeps asking what happened and he only replied "Nothing happened, I will call you later, Bye." and hangs up.

The woman was wondering if what she heard from that man was right or not, she clearly hears him say 'Nics'.

The woman begins walking and quickly reach her destination, she was Kimberly, Nicole's cousin.

Kimberly doesn't know who Claude is, since he didn't attend Nicole's funeral. The two were thinking the same thing "Who is he?/Who is she?"
