Chapter 12
Both of them are now inside the car. Nicole already has an idea of where they are going but decided to try sabotaging Claude's plan.
"Love?" she called him.
"Hmm?"
"Where are we going?"
"It's a secret"
"I want to go to the mall nearby and do some shopping" she muttered under her breath.
Claude upon hearing this sweatdropped. All of his plans are now shuttering.
"What are you so nervous about?" she questioned. Although she knows the reason for it, she still wants to tease her boyfriend about it.
'It's a once in a lifetime chance' she thought.
"Nothing" he replied, hiding the fact that all of the things he prepared beforehand are now for nothing.
Nicole noticed him sweating a little bit. This made her laugh.
"Why are you laughing?" he asked.
"Love, you're such an open book" she replied.
Claude was confused at her statement but ignored it.
After the teasing session, Claude just focused on driving.
Their destination didn't change.
Nicole was just staring outside, admiring the scenery.
They arrived at the beach shortly after that.
Claude wants to blindfold his girlfriend but he knows she doesn't want it.
He led her to their favorite spot and sat down.
"Happy Anniversary, Love" he greeted her.
"Happy Anniversary" she replied.
Nicole kissed his cheek and holds his hand.
Both of them are staring at the beautiful scenery in front.
The silence didn't last long as Nicole decided to break and tease her boyfriend.
"Your plan is so obvious, you know"
"Stop" he retorted.
Nicole laughs so loud that people are staring at her.
"Nics, stop it"
Claude is now embarrassed.
She stops laughing and quickly looked at the man beside him.
Looking directly at his eyes, Claude did the same.
Both of them stared at each other for a whole minute before he broke off the staring 'contest'.
Nicole smiled and "I win"
Claude couldn't look at her as he was so embarrassed at how obvious his plan was that even the person he wants to surprise notice it.
She holds his hands tighter.
He looks at her, obviously confused.
He was about to ask her why but she suddenly talks.
"I'm so lucky to meet you"
"Me too"
"I'm the happiest person in the world because I have you by my side"
"Me too"
"I love you"
"I love you too"
They spend their time chatting about everything that is going on in their lives.
They watched the sunset holding hands while Nicole is leaning at his shoulders.
As the night looms in, Claude invited her to have dinner at their favorite restaurant.
They ate all the foods Nicole wanted to eat, from seafood to dessert. They ate a lot.
After dinner, they came back to the beach to rest for a while before continuing their "date".
