Several weeks later, Claude is walking to Nicole's grave. Thinking about it for weeks has given him an answer to go and visit her.
He didn't tell anyone about his decision, only he and Nicole will know about this secret. After all, he did tell them that he will never visit her grave.
After some time, he finally arrived at her gravestone.
Staring intently at it, his tears began pouring down from his eyes. Not noticing it, he was just standing in front of the gravestone.
A woman tapped him on his shoulders. He looked over to her and noticed a handkerchief is in front of him. This made him confused.
The woman noticed that Claude is looking at her handkerchief confused.
"Wipe your tears" she said while gesturing for him to do so.
This made him realize that tears are pouring down from his eyes. He then stared at the woman for quite some time only to realize that she looks like Nicole. He wipes his eyes to be sure and to confirm if he is only hallucinating but reality hits him. It was real.
"What's your name?" he asked.
"That's rude. You should introduce yourself first before asking someone their name, Mister Crybaby"
"Oh, I'm Claude. Claude Zamora"
"I see"
"You should wipe your tears first" she added.
He then wiped his tears with the handkerchief the woman gave him, waiting patiently for the mentioned woman to introduce herself.
"Thanks" he said.
"Well, it was nice meeting you" she replied getting ready to leave.
Claude then realized that she didn't tell him her name.
"Wait"
"What?"
"Your name" he muttered lowly.
"Oh, just call me yours" she replied and hurriedly left. Leaving him dumbfounded.
He was taken aback by the sudden pick-up line but it made him smile unconsciously.
'I hope to see you again' he thought.
After being in dazed for a whole minute, he remembers that he was in front of Nicole's grave.
"Love, I think I just made a mistake in front of you" he laughed.
He then thought that the woman that gave him the handkerchief looked kind of like Nicole.
"Do you have a cousin or twin sister that I didn't know that looks exactly like you?" he asked.
But he didn't get an answer. Well, what do you expect? Nicole is already dead and the conversation that will happen from now on is one-sided. So, most of the time Claude will do the talking while Nicole will just listen, their roles are now vice-versa.
"Nevermind, you know I miss you so much"
He finally decided to let all his thoughts out.
"These days all I ever thought about is you. Studying to become a lawyer seems not so fun without you on my side. I've been staying at my parent's house, so our apartment is getting lonely. I don't know if I will return there. I feel like if I live there, I will always see you in every corner of that place. It's not that I don't want to see you, it's just I need to have time for myself to continue living. Guilt is slowly taking me and I don't want to think of something I will regret. You save me so I need to live my life to the fullest not only for myself but for you too. I just really need to see you once again. Can't you at least send a sign for me to know that you will guide and be always by my side?"
After saying that a cold breeze made its way to where he is sitting.
"Thank you. I really owe you a lot. I will fulfill our promise, I will become a lawyer that will always bring justice to society. I'll make you proud, love"
Before leaving, he decided to kiss Nicole's gravestone.
Claude didn't notice it but a figure is seen looking at him from a distance.
"You really are lucky to have him, Nics" the figure stated.
It was the woman, the same woman who gave Claude a handkerchief.
After confirming Claude's leave, she went to Nicole's gravestone and prayed for her.
"I will miss you, my dear cousin"
It was Kimberly. Kimberly Gomez, Nicole's cousin.
A/N: yay, Kim finally made her debut after 15 chapters. I hope you like this chapter and feel free to comment if you have any suggestions or anything you want me to clarify. Again, thank you for reading.
